Water environment management information system for the Han River based on WebGIS

Abstract:Toward the technology implementing and characteristics of WebGIS, the system framework and operation mechanism for ArcIMS were analyzed. On the basis of the platform of ArcIMS 9.0, a new scheme with multi-architecture for WebGIS is put forward with the help of JS and JSP technologies. The water environment management information system illuminated the realization. Combined with demand of water environment manage information system, the architecture based on WebGIS is presented. The Apache and Tomcat adopted as Web server, the ArcIMS adopted as map server, the system implements map processing and map transmission on Web. The system provides water environment query, evaluation, statistic, analysis, control of pollution gross and pollution source based on the map to achieve the comprehensive development, reasonable use, positive protection, scientific management.
