An Implementation of Data Grid Middleware DGM Based on WSRF and WSN

Abstract:Data grid, as one of the concernful grids, demands an efficient middleware for grid services and datasets management. This paper proposes a design scheme of the Data Grid Middleware (DGM), which follows the WSRF and WSN specifications. DGM is applied to the breast cancer grid and meets the demands of grid services, grid datasets and data notifications, using APIs and toolkits provided by Globus Toolkit4 (GT4). Both the architecture and the implementation process are introduced. To indicate the cooperative operating pattern of DGM's function modules, an application instance and a performance testing are proposed. Results show the feasibility and efficiency of DGM.
