Abstract:Civil society is a historical category,which has different connotations in different times.In the ancient Greek and Roman times,it is used to describe the political community of the city-states or industrial and commercial activities.In the 17-19 century,it has a distinctive economic field property,explaining the relationship with the country s political life.Today,it is mainly expressed is different from the national sphere,the economic sphere,nonprofit social fields or social life.Civil society should not be regarded as a bourgeois discourse patent.In order to build a socialist harmonious society,we must attach great importance to practical significance of the construction of socialist civil society,the innovation of social administration and social service model,the building of social support and social solidarity system,positive and orderly progress of the construction of civil society.
