Abstract:Let L = X ( m :n) (2) , Xε ¦ W, S, H, K ¦ be a simple graded Lie algebra of Cartan type over a field F of characteristic p> 3. With the aid of Farnsteiner’s generalized reduced Verma module, a connection between the simple GR modules and simple graded modules of L is eastablished.

Abstract:We study some properties of generalized reduced Verma modules over ℤ-graded modular Lie superalgebras. Some properties of the generalized reduced Verma modules and coinduced modules are obtained. Moreover, invariant forms on the generalized reduced Verma modules are considered. In particular, for ℤ-graded modular Lie superalgebras of Cartan type we prove that generalized reduced Verma modules are isomorphic to mixed products of modules.

Abstract:Let L = X(m; n), X ∈ {W, S, H, K}, be a graded simple Lie algebra of Cartan type over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p > 3. Then L is a so-called generalized restricted Lie algebra. Let [Formula: see text] be the primitive p-envelope of L, and G = X(m; 1), a subalgebra of [Formula: see text]. In this paper, a close connection between Cartan invariants for [Formula: see text] and U(G, χ) is established, where χ ∈ L* is extended to be a linear function on [Formula: see text] trivially, and 1 ≤ ht (χ) < p-2+δXW. This reduces the study of projective representations of the generalized restricted Lie algebra L to the one of the corresponding restricted Lie algebra G. As a special case, we recover some results in [Shu and Jiang, On Cartan invariants and blocks of Zassenhaus algebras, Comm. Algebra33(10) (2005) 3619–3630].

Abstract:Let L be the generalized Jacobson-Witt algebra W(m;n) over an algebraically closed field F of characteristic p > 3, which consists of special derivations on the divided power algebra R= 𝔄(m;n). Then L is a so-called generalized restricted Lie algebra. In such a setting, we can reformulate the description of simple modules of L with the generalized p-character χ when ht (χ) < min {pni-pni-1| 1 ≤ i ≤ m} for n=(n1,…,nm), which was obtained by Skryabin. This is done by introducing a modified induced module structure and thereby endowing it with a so-called (R,L)-module structure in the generalized χ-reduced module category, which enables us to apply Skryabin's argument to our case. Simple exceptional-weight modules are precisely constructed via a complex of modified induced modules, and their dimensions are also obtained. The results for type W are extended to the ones for types S and H.

Abstract:Let g:= gl m | n be a general linear Lie superalgebra over an algebraically closed field k:= ${\bar F_p}$ of characteristic p > 2. A module of g is said to be of Kac–Weisfeiler type if its dimension coincides with the dimensional lower bound in the super Kac–Weisfeiler property presented by Wang–Zhao in [9]. In this paper, we verify the existence of the Kac–Weisfeiler modules for gl m | n . We also establish the corresponding consequence for the special linear Lie superalgebra sl m | n with the restrictions that p > 2 and p ∤ (m - n).

Abstract:Let F be an algebraically closed field of characteristic p > 0, L= ⊕i = −rsL(i) a graded Lie algebra of Cartan type over F. We give a description of the dual adjoint module L∗ by means of the mixed product and the coinduced module such that the computation of H1(L, L∗) can be reduced to that of the first cohomology of L(0). Then we determine the central extensions and H2(L, F) by computing H1(L, L∗).

Abstract:This paper studied the representations of graded Caftan type Lie algebra W(m; n) in characteristic P>2, by generalizing the arguments of Shu's for restricted Lie algebras W(m;1). Especially, the rank-reducing method exploited in the restricted case was extended to non-restricted case. The simple modules for W (m; n) with generalized p-character χ were described by reduction when χ was regular semisimple.

Abstract: For any additive subgroup $G$ of an arbitrary field $F$ of characteristic zero, there corresponds a generalized Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra $L[G]$. Given a total order of $G$ compatible with its group structure, and any $h,h_I,c,c_I,c_{LI}\in F$, a Verma module $M(h,h_I,c,c_I,c_{LI})$ over $L[G]$ is defined. In the this note, the irreducibility of Verma modules $M(h,h_I,c,c_I,c_{LI})$ is completely determined.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce the notions of restricted Lie 2-algebras and crossed modules of restricted Lie algebras, and give a series of examples of restricted Lie 2-algebras. We also construct restricted Lie 2-algebras from A(m)-algebras, restricted Leibniz algebras, restricted right-symmetric algebras. Finally, we prove that there is a one-to-one correspondence between strict restricted Lie 2-algebras and crossed modules of restricted Lie algebras.
