Abstract:In order to foster innovative spirit and ability of students,the reform in the experimental teaching was carried out.Experimental teaching mode,method and development of creative experiments with emphasis on "Wide foundation,Strong practice and Innovative ability" were explored and practiced,aiming at constructing a trinity talent education system combined with knowledge,quality and ability.New experiments closely related to curriculum theory were developed to the greatest extent.Practice teaching and research training were reasonably arranged.Therefore,a new practical teaching system focusing on cultivating students' innovative ability was built and integration of teaching,scientific research training and talents cultivating was realized.

Abstract:Pre-clinical education is the targeted teaching and guidance to the medical students be- fore they start clinical practice. In order to improve the clinical practice teaching effect, pre-clinical educa- tion for the stomatological undergraduate students was carried out in recent years in Tongji University School of Stomatology. It focused on the following strategies: developing personal clerkship schedule, practicing problem-based learning teaching method, in vitro teeth practicing and evaluation, simulated clinical train- ing, cultivating students' patient-centered sense of service and responsibility. These strategies helped to cultivate the students' good learning habits and laid a good foundation for their clinical practice which has been proved to have better results in clinical practice teaching.

Abstract:For undergraduates,the practice of simple skills teaching has been unable to meet social needs and the development of the times.It can't answer the many puzzles interns have,nor can it guarantee the healthy development of interns.The main problems occurred during clinical practices and the causes been responsible for the problems are analyzed in the paper.The sensible ways to solve these problems are also recommended.We should focus on the characteristics of practice teaching of oral surgery and integrate practical skills education,medical ethics education and legal education into the teaching practice.We should focus on the training of the actual ability,communication skills,service awareness,and reception and treatment capabilities. We should pay attention to coordination between the interns and patients rights,correct attitude towards learning,mobilizing learning initiative.

Abstract:To evaluate the application of problem-based learning teaching model in oral and maxillofacial surgery teaching of stomatology technical college students.Using the traditional teacher's lecture-based teaching model in stomatology 2008 three-year 81 students of Lishui University as the control group;Using problem-based learning and lecturing combined model in stomatology 2009,2010 three-year 93 students as experimental group,and the use of questionnaires,the theory test and practical operation test were used to evaluate the results of the instruction methods.By using problem-based learning and lecturing combined model,students' capacity in the experimental group had been significantly improved in all aspects,and the experimental group theory test and practical operation of test results was significantly higher (P＜0.05).Problem-based learning and lecturing combined model was effective in oral medicine specialist higher education of oral maxillofacial surgery.

Abstract:Oral-maxillofacial-neck topographic anatomy is an important course for undergraduates learning stomatology, which should closely link to clinical practice. In the passed three years, the teaching team from Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology reformed the dissection course guided by a clinical oriented principle to support autonomic learning and collaborative education among students. The teaching reform included a rearrangement of the curriculum, a newly developed laboratory manual oriented by routine oral-maxillofacial surgery operation with detailed instruction and supplementary images, and the teaching methodology was optimized. This reform has been proved to facilitate students' learning and understanding the three-dimensional relationship of anatomy structure.
A feedback study of fixed prosthodontical preclinical tooth preparation training in eight-year program of oral medical students

Abstract:Objective To assess effects of the preclinical initial practice of tooth preparation training during the fixed prosthodontics internship in eight-year program of oral medical students,and provide constructive suggestion for teaching improvements.Methods 113 eight-year program students of oral medicine in Peking University School of Stomatology were selected as object.Posterior tooth full cast crown questionnaire were delivered to them afer their first tooth preparation training.The data processing was managed with the application of Epidata 3.1 as well as SPSS 20.0.Results Proximal and marginal preparation were always the most challenging part during the very first practice for eight-year program dental students.Besides,taper degree and undercut area were likely to be neglected apart from skills.Still,students have a relatively stronger practical ability distinct from a lower self-identity.Conclusions The majority of students in eight-year program can be well familiar with the fundamental principles of tooth preparation of posterior tooth full cast metal crown.Whereas,that low self-identity contrasts to good performance of these students indicates that more inspiration and incentive needed to be added into the very first practice to clinical attempt during preclinical training.

Abstract:Basic surgical skill education plays a vital role in training surgical technique of medical students,and also serves as a bridge between surgical textbook and clinical practice.The article adopted a new educational system,which consisted of basic experiments as main body,comprehensive,advanced and innovative experiments as complements,to enhancing practice-based instruction.The authors also added teaching process record for teachers and learning process record for students,and carried out a control study,which used a method of instruction,demonstration,guidance,assessment and Objective Structured Clinical Examination(OSCE),among students of all the majors in Grade 2006.A satisfied result was attained at last.So it concluded that the method we used could make a great improvement to medical education,not only for surgical training,but also benefit other clinical techniques learning.

Abstract:There is rich resource of forensic medicine in Zhejiang University School of Medicine. It is necessary to teach forensic medicine in English for the international medical students. There are three categories of ten years practice in English teaching of forensic medicine in Zhejiang University: 1) Training of the local team of core forensic medicine teachers; 2) Integration of judicial expertise into the combined theory and experiment teaching in forensic medicine. 3) Teaching remodeling with the help of "internal"and informatization plats. Our mode may provide the references for the English teaching of forensic medicine for the international medical students and improve the quantity of inter national medical education.

Abstract:Aiming at the problems in the post competency training of eight year clinical medical students such as the deficiency of humanistic spirit and communication ability,insufficient capacity of clinical skills training and clinical problem-solving,the lacl of academic research ability and innovative spirit,and according to the practical requirements for clinical personnel,we elaborated the required post competence for eight-year medical students on the basis of its basic concept and intention.We proposed strengthening the cultivation of eight-year medical students by improved course plan and cultivation process,perfected assessment system,enhanced construction of teachers in order to make the students competent to their posts,and we also made some beneficial attempts in formulating and implementing the talent training scheme based on post competency.

Abstract:Clinical practice is an important ingredient of stomatology education.In most of the schools,the students need to practice in different specialized departments in turn.General clinic has been established to be used in clinical practice teaching in Peking University School & hospital of Stomatology.Through 3 years' practice,it was found that general clinic has advantages in clinical practice teaching as follow:① Strengthening the integrity of teaching; ② Offering the patient combined therapy; ③ Promoting the students' thoughts of the combined diagnosis and treatment; ④ utilizing the medical resource more efficiently.Lack of patients in certain specialities was the major problem.It could be mitigated through adjusting the medical resource in different specialties.Training of the doctors and nurses to obtain teaching ability in general dentistry is the keypoint to solve this problem,which also agrees with requirement of the standardized training for interns nowadays.

Abstract:In view of the problems and shortcomings of the domestic ophthalmic microsurgery training system, drawing lessons from the training programs of famous ophthalmic centers abroad, our hospital has explored a set of hierarchical comprehensive training system for ophthalmic microsurgery. Through the four levels-eight scales microsurgery training, the hierarchical comprehensive training system organically integrates the multimedia theoretical teaching, the microscopic practice of Wet-Lab laboratory, microscopic training of surgical simulator and the clinical practice to achieve a better teaching effect in clinical practice, being widely praised by teachers and students.
