Abstract:Let M be a k-vector space and R is an element of Hom(M-circle timesp, M-circle timesq), we present a general version of,the FRT-construction, we provide a method for examining whether an FRT-bialgebra A(R) has-a pre-braided structure and whether M can be regarded as an A(R)-dimodule. We show that the FRT-relation plays a fundamental role in determining the algebra structure on the FRT-bialgebra and the compatibility condition of relevant dimodule. As an example, we give a Hopf algebra approach for solving both homogeneous and non-homogeneous nonlinear (algebraic) equations.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish a structure theorem for connected graded Hopf algebras over a field of characteristic 0 by claiming the existence of a family of homogeneous generators and a total order on the index set that satisfy some desirable conditions. The approach to the structure theorem is constructive, based on the combinatorial properties of Lyndon words and the standard bracketing on words. As a surprising consequence of the structure theorem, we show that connected graded Hopf algebras of finite Gelfand-Kirillov dimension over a field of characteristic 0 are all iterated Hopf Ore extensions of the base field. In addition, some keystone facts of connected Hopf algebras over a field of characteristic 0 are observed as corollaries of the structure theorem, without the assumptions of having finite Gelfand-Kirillov dimension (or affineness) on Hopf algebras or of that the base field is algebraically closed.

Abstract:Let H be a Hopf algebra over a base field. If H has an ℕ-filtration such that the associated graded ring is connected graded noetherian and has enough normal elements, then H is Gorenstein. This gives a partial solution to a question of Brown and Brown-Goodearl. As a consequence, every quotient Hopf algebra of a generic quantized coordinate ring of a connected semisimple Lie group is Auslander-Gorenstein and Cohen-Macaulay. The last statement answers a question of Goodearl-Zhang.

Abstract:For a field k and two finite groups G and X, when G acts on X from the right by group automorphisms, there is a Hopf algebra structure on k-space (kX op )* ⋇ kG (see Theorem 2.1), called a non-balanced quantum double and denoted by D X (G). In this paper, some Hopf algebra properties of D X (G) are given, the representation types of D X (G) viewed as a k-algebra are discussed, the algebra structure and module category over D X (G) are studied. Since the Hopf algebra structure of non-balanced quantum double D X (G) generalizes the usual quantum double D(G) for a finite group G, all results about D X (G) in this paper can also be used to describe D(G) as a special case and the universal R-matrix of D X (G) provides more solutions of Yang-Baxter equation.

Abstract:We use Hopf algebroids to formulate a notion of a noncommutative and non-cocommutative Hopf 2-algebra. We show how these arise from a bicrossproduct Hopf algebra with Peiffer identities. In particular, we show that for a Hopf algebra $H$ with bijective antipode, the mirror bicrossproduct Hopf algebra $H\triangleright\!\!\!\blacktriangleleft H_{cop}$ is a Hopf 2-algebra. We apply the theorem on Sweedler's Hopf algebra as an example.

Abstract:In[3]and[6],the Hopf algebra structures of path algebra and path coalgebra on a Hopf quiver and a covering quiver respect to a weight sequence respectively were introduced independently.The main aim of this paper is to show the dually one-to-one correspondent relations between their structures(see Theorems 2.1 and 2.4).As applications,firstly,the authors obtain some important results about the Hopf algebra structure on the quotient of path algebra on a cycle;then,they prove that the Sweedler's fourdimensional Hopf algebra H4 is not only quasi-triangular but also co-quasi-triangular.Lastly,they characterize the graded automorphism group of the Hopf algebras on the path algebra of a Schurian covering quiver, according to that on the path coalgebra of a Schurian Hopf quiver.

Abstract:The particles with a scattering matrix R(x) are defined as operators Φi(z) satisfying the relation ∑i′,j′Ri,jj′,i′(x1/x2)Φi′(x1)Φj′(x2)=Φi(x2)Φj(x1). The algebra generated by those operators is called a Zamolochikov algebra. We construct a new Hopf algebra by adding half of the Faddeev–Reshetikhin–Takhtajan–Semenov-Tian-Shansky (FRTS) construction of a quantum affine algebra with this R(x). Then we double it to obtain a new Hopf algebra such that the full FRTS construction of a quantum affine algebra is a Hopf subalgebra inside. Drinfeld realization of quantum affine algebras is included as an example.
Hopf-algebraic structures on mixed graphs

Abstract:We introduce two coproducts on mixed graphs (that is to say graphs with both oriented and unoriented edges), the first one by separation of the vertices into two parts, and the second one given by contraction and extractions of subgraphs. We show that, with the disjoint union product, this gives a double bialgebra, that is to say that the first coproduct makes it a Hopf algebra in the category of right comodules over the second coproduct. This structure implies the existence of a unique polynomial invariant on mixed graphs compatible with the product and both coproducts: we prove that it is the (strong) chromatic polynomial of Beck, Bogart and Pham.Using the action of the monoid of characters, we relate it to the weak chromatic polynomial, as well to Ehrhart polynomials and to a polynomial invariants related to linear extensions. As applications, we give an algebraic proof of the link between the values of the strong chromatic polynomial at negative values and acyclic orientations (a result due to Beck, Blado, Crawford, Jean-Louis and Young) and obtain a combinatorial description of the antipode of the Hopf algebra of mixed graphs.

Abstract:In this paper, we define the notion of Hopf crossed square for cocommutative Hopf algebras extending the notions of crossed squares of groups and of Lie algebras. We prove the equivalence between the category of Hopf crossed squares and the category of double internal groupoids in the category of cocommutative Hopf algebras. The Hopf crossed squares turn out to be the internal crossed modules in the category of crossed modules in the category of cocommutative Hopf algebras.

Abstract:The Hopf dual $H^circ$ of any Poisson Hopf algebra $H$ is proved to be a co-Poisson Hopf algebra provided $H$ is noetherian. Without noetherian assumption, it is not true in general. There is no nontrivial Poisson Hopf structure on the universal enveloping algebra of a non-abelian Lie algebra. The Poisson Hopf structures on $A=k[x_1, x_2, cdots, x_d]$, viewed as the universal enveloping algebra of a finite-dimensional abelian Lie algebra, are exactly linear Poisson structures on $A$. The co-Poisson structures on polynomial Hopf algebra $A$ are characterized. Some correspondences between co-Poisson and Poisson structures are also established.

Abstract:In this paper, we mainly give some equivalent characterisations of Hopf braces, show that the category $\mathcal{CB}(A)$ of Hopf braces is equivalent to the category $\mathcal{C}(A)$ of bijective 1-cocycles, and prove that the category $\mathcal{CB}(A)$ of Hopf braces is also equivalent to the category $\mathcal{M}(A)$ of Hopf matched pairs. Moreover, we construct many more Hopf braces on polynomial Hopf algebras, Long copaired Hopf algebras and Drinfel'd doubles of finite dimensional Hopf algebras, and give a sufficient and necessary condition for a given bicrossed coproduct $A\bowtie H$ to be a Hopf brace if $A$ or $H$ is a Hopf brace.

Hopf algebraic structures on hypergraphs and multi-complexes

Abstract:Using the formalism of species and twisted objects, we introduce two structures of cointeracting bialgebras on hypergraphs, induced by two notions of induced sub-hypergraphs. We study the associated unique morphisms of cointeracting bialgebras from hypergraphs to the polynomial algebra in one indeterminate: in the first case, this gives the chromatic polynomial of a graph attached to the considered hypergraph. In the second case, we obtained Helgason's notion of chromatic polynomial of a hypergraph. We obtain Hopf-algebraic proves of results about the values of this chromatic polynomial in -1 or about its coefficients, with the help of the action of a monoid of characters. This allows to give multiplicity-free formulas for the antipodes of these objects, using various notions of acyclic orientations of hypergraphs. Mixing the two notions of induced sub-hypergraphs, we obtain a third Hopf algebra, firstly described by Aguiar and Ardila. We obtain negative results on the existence of a second coproduct making it a cointeracting bialgebra. Anyway, it is still possible to obtain a polynomial invariant from this structure, which is the chomatic polynomial described by Aval, Kharagbossian and Tanasa. We nally study Iovanov and Jaiung's Hopf algebra of multi-complexes, making it a cointeracting bialgebra which has for quotient one of the preceding cointeracting bialgebras of hypergraphs.

Abstract:This paper introduces the concepts of cylinder coalgebras and cylinder coproducts for quasitriangular bialgebras,and points out that there exists an anti-coaigebra isomorphism (H,■)■(H,■),where (H,■) is the cylinder coproduct,and (H,■) is the braided coproduct given by Kass.For any finite dimensional Hopf algebra H,the Drinfel'd double (D(H),■D(H)) is proved to be the cylinder coproduct.Let (H,H,R) be copaired Hopf algebras.If R∈Z(H■ H) with inverse R~(-1) and skew inverse ■,then the twisted coalgebra (H■)~(R~(-1)) is constructed via twice twists,whose comultiplication is exactly the cylinder coproduct.Moreover,for any generalized Long dimodule,some solutions for Yang-Baxter equations,four braid pairs and Long equations are constructed via cylinder twists.

Abstract:We construct a Hopf action, with an invariant trace, of a bicrossed product Hopf algebra $\cH=\big( \cU(\Fg_1) \acr \cR(G_2) \big)^{\cop}$ constructed from a matched pair of Lie groups $G_1$ and $G_2$, on a convolution algebra $\cA=C_c^{\ify}(G_1)\rtimes G_2^{\delta}$. We give an explicit way to construct Hopf cyclic cohomology classes of our Hopf algebra $\cH$ and then realize these classes in terms of explicit representative cocycles in the cyclic cohomology of the convolution algebra $\cA$.
