Abstract:The effects of different stone dust (SD) content in manufactured sand (MS) on the compressive strength, permeability ofchloride ions and resistance to freezing of different strength grade concrete are investigated. The results show that with the increase ofSD content in MS, the resistance to chlorine permeability of low-strength concrete is improved, but the resistance to freezing de-creases. When the SD content is higher than 10% (the volume ratio of SD to cement exceeds 1:3.47), the MS concrete shows an ob-vious degradation of resistance to freezing. However, the workability of high-strength MS concrete drops when SD content exceeds7%. Otherwise, when the SD content is increased from 3.5% to 14%, resistance to chlorine ion permeation and resistance to freezingof high-strength MS concrete do not degrade.
