Abstract:In this paper, we mainly establish the existence of at least three non-trivial solutions for a class of nonhomogeneous quasilinear elliptic systems with Dirichlet boundary value or Neumann boundary value in a bounded domain $\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^N $ and $N\geq 1$. We exploit the method which is based on [6]. This method let us obtain the concrete open interval about the parameter $\lambda$. Since the quasilinear term depends on $u$ and $\nabla u$, it is necessary for our proofs to use the theory of monotone operators and the skill of adding one dimension to space.

Abstract:We consider the existence of periodic boundary value problems of nonlinear second order ordinary differential equations. Under certain half Lipschitzian type conditions several existence results are obtained. As applications positive periodic solutions of some ϕ-Laplacian type equations and Duffing type equations are investigated.

Abstract:In this paper, we are interested in the existence of multiple nontrivial $ T $-periodic solutions of the nonlinear second ordinary differential equation $ \ddot{x}+V_x(t, x) = 0 $ in $ N(\geq 1) $ dimensions. Using homological linking and morse theory, we get at least two critical points of the functional corresponding to our problem. And, we also prove that two critical points are different by critical groups. Then, we obtain there are at least two nontrivial $ T $-periodic solutions of the problem.

Abstract:The existence of three solutions for nonlinear operator equations is established via index theory for linear self-adjoint operator equations, critical point reduction method, and three critical points theorems obtained by Brezis-Nirenberg, Ricceri, and Averna-Bonanno. Applying the results to second-order Hamiltonian systems satisfying generalized periodic boundary conditions or Sturm-Liouville boundary conditions and elliptic partial differential equations satisfying Dirichlet boundary value conditions, we obtain some new theorems concerning the existence of three solutions.

Abstract:In this article, applying variational technique as well as critical point theory, we establish a series of criteria to ensure the existence and multiplicity of nontrivial periodic solutions to a second-order nonlinear partial difference equation. Our results generalize some known results. Moreover, numerical stimulations are presented to illustrate applications of our major findings.

Abstract:In this paper, we study positive periodic solutions to the repulsive singular perturbations of the Hill equations. It is proved that such a perturbation problem has at least two positive periodic solutions when the anti-maximum principle holds for the Hill operator and the perturbation is superlinear at infinity. The proof relies on a nonlinear alternative of Leray–Schauder type and on Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem on compression and expansion of cones.

In the repulsive case, i.e. beta < 0, under some suitable decay assumptions but without any symmetric assumptions on the potential a(x), we prove the existence of infinitely many solutions for the problem (P).

Abstract:This paper is concerned with a class of nonhomogeneous quasilinear elliptic system driven by the locally symmetric potential and the small continuous perturbations in the whole‐space RN . By a variant of Clark's theorem without the global symmetric condition and Moser's iteration technique, we obtain the existence of multiple solutions when the nonlinear term satisfies some growth conditions only in a circle with center 0, and the perturbation term is any continuous function with a small parameter and no any growth hypothesis.

Abstract:In this paper, we study a nonlinear higher-order three-point eigenvalue problems with first-order derivative on time scales. Under certain growth conditions on the nonlinearity, sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of nontrivial solutions, which are easily verifiable, are obtained by using the Leray-Schauder nonlinear alternative.
