Strontium Ferrite Prepared by Multi-Stage Sintering

Abstract:Sr-ferrite was prepared by multi-stage sintering and wet pressing under magnetic field, and vibrtaing sample magnetometer and scanning electron microscope were uesed to measure and observe its magnetic properties and microstructure, respectively. It shows that with increasing initial (first-stage) sintering temperature the saturation magnetization increases significantly, with maximun saturation magnetization of 64.46 A·m2/kg for 1250℃sintering;saturation magnetization increases slightly with extending sintering time. Therefore, the saturation magnetization of Sr-ferrite can be improved by both reasonably increasing initial sintering temperature and extending sintering time.
