Abstract:In logistic transport industry, individual demands and diversity requirements are matters in transport operation; this paper focused on solving vehicle routing problem (VRP) by using the immune genetic algorithm (IGA). In this algorithm, firstly, establish the mathematical model of VRP. Secondly, design the IGA of which use natural number coding method to encode antibodies; apply R continuous method to calculate the affinity between antibodies; use the roulette wheel selection method to select good individuals; adopt partial matching method to improve the crossover operation; use simple inversion mutation method for mutation operation. Finally, example analysis proves that using the IGA can find out the optimal path quickly and efficiently.

Abstract:SummaryWith advanced information technologies and industrial intelligence, Industry 4.0 has been witnessing a large scale digital transformation. Intelligent transportation plays an important role in the new era and the classic vehicle routing problem (VRP), which is a typical problem in providing intelligent transportation, has been drawing more attention in recent years. In this article, we study multidepot VRP (MDVRP) that considers the management of the vehicles and the optimization of the routes among multiple depots, making the VRP variant more meaningful. In addressing the time efficiency and depot cooperation challenges, we apply the artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm to the MDVRP. To begin with, we degrade MDVRP to single‐depot VRP by introducing depot clustering. Then we modify the ABC algorithm for single‐depot VRP to generate solutions for each depot. Finally, we propose a coevolution strategy in depot combination to generate a complete solution of the MDVRP. We conduct extensive experiments with different parameters and compare our algorithm with a greedy algorithm and a genetic algorithm (GA). The results show that the ABC algorithm has a good performance and achieve up to 70% advantage over the greedy algorithm and 3% advantage over the GA.

Abstract:In this paper, stochastic demand vehicle routing problem and model are studied. Hybrid algorithm based on immune algorithm and genetic algorithm is proposed in order to gain solution. IA-GA use basic principles and processes of genetic algorithm, and includes the promotion-inhibition function and memory function of immune algorithm. The premature convergence problem of genetic algorithm is conquered, and we can get different offspring with improved crossover. Comparing experiment shows that IA-GA has better computing performance.

Abstract:The logistics distribution VRP is a hot topic in logistics research. It is a NP problem and hard to get an optimal and satisfactory solution. On the basis of the mathematic model for Logistics Distribution VRP, this paper presented an Immune Clone Algorithm (ICA) to solve this problem. The concepts of clonal selection, clonal deletion, receptor editing, somatic hypermutation and antibody supplement were introduced. Experimental calculation results showed that ICA could converge to global optimal solution rapidly and solve the logistics distribution VRP effectively. It can avoid the convergence to the local optimal solution and overcome the slow convergence velocity of the Genetic Algorithm.

Abstract:This paper presents a vehicle routing problem with backhauls and builds the model of the problem based on natural description.Then builds a immune genetic algorithm to solve the problem in which a nature number coding method,the adaptive mechanism of crossover operators,and evaluate function are introduced.The computational results compared with other heuristic algorithms demonstrate that the high quality solutions to the vehicle routing problem with backhauls can be obtained by using the new immune genetic algorithm,and the new algorithm is also efficient and robust.

Abstract:In this paper,in accordance with the characteristic of express distribution,we mainly studied the vehicle routing problem in the express distribution to the various branching points of the distribution center which practiced express delivery and simultaneous collecting and dispatching.Assuming the traveling time of the vehicles between the points followed normal distribution,the distriobution points were constrained by a soft time window and the number of the express parcels collected followed the Poisson distribution,we established the model of the problem and designed the genetic algorithm for its solution,which,through the strategy of selection based on fitness ranking and optimal unit reservation and adaptive crossover probability,ensured the superiority of the result obtained.At the end,we used the matlab programming in a numerical example to validate the feasibility of the algorithm.

Abstract:Vehicle routing problem(VRP)is an important content of logistics management research,which plays a crucial role in raising service quality and reducing cost.Based on the introduction of the basic principle of an immune monoclonal algorithm,the mathematic model of vehicle route optimization and its basic calculation process were given.The calculation results of an example show that the immune monoclonal algorithm can quickly obtain the overall optimum result and its effect is good through inducing join degree maturation,cloning,and memory mechanism,and utilizing corresponding calculation operator.

Abstract:Vehicle routing problem (VRP) is a classic combinatorial optimization problem and has many applications in industry. Solutions of VRP have significant impact on logistic cost. In most VRP models, the shortest distance is used as the objective function, which is not the case in many real-word applications. To this end, a VRP model with fixed and fuel cost is proposed. Genetic algorithm (GA) is a common approach for solving VRP. Due to the premature issue in GA, a tabu bee colony-based GA is employed to solve this model. The improved GA has three characteristics that differentiate from other similar algorithms: (1) The maximum preserved crossover is proposed, to protect the outstanding sub-path and avoid the phenomenon that two identical individuals cannot create new individuals; (2) The bee evolution mechanism is introduced. The optimal solution is selected as the queen-bee and a number of outstanding individuals are as the drones. The utilization of excellent individual characteristics is improved through the crossover of queen-bee and drones; (3) The tabu search is applied to optimize the queen-bee in each generation of bees and improve the quality of excellent individuals. Thus the population quality is improved. Extensive experiments were conducted. The experimental results show the rationality of the model and the validity of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract:This study considers the application of a genetic algorithm (GA) to the basic vehicle routing problem (VRP). A hybrid of this GA with neighborhood search methods is different from the traditional GA. The hybrid GA carries out with the initial population by a special means. The ranking replacement method is used, so that the size of the population remains constant. The experimental result show that the hybrid GA is competitive with tabu search and simulated annealing.

Abstract:The Vehicle Routing Problem's focal point is no longer a single objective to get a shortest routing or satisfy customer's time demand, but a multiple objective which include nearly every aspect in the distribution network such as the cost of delivery, shipping time, and distance of transportation. Most of these aspects are very significant in the delivery network. Classic VRP models cannot take real-time reaction to the traffic jam. In this paper, a two-layer model including multiple objective and real-time road information is established. The genetic algorithm, NSGA II and ESGA, is used to optimize this model. This optimization algorithm could find the optimal result very soon.

Abstract:In the fast-developing logistics and supply chain management fields, one of the key problems in the decision support system is that how to arrange, for a lot of customers and suppliers, the supplier-to-customer assignment and produce a detailed supply schedule under a set of constraints. Solutions to the multi-depot vehicle scheduling problems (MDVRP) help in solving this problem in case of transportation applications. The objective of the MDVSP is to minimize the total distance covered by all vehicles, which can be considered as delivery costs or time consumption. The MDVSP is one of nondeterministic polynomial-time hard (NP-hard) problem which cannot be solved to optimality within polynomial bounded computational time. Many different approaches have been developed to tackle MDVSP, such as exact algorithm (EA), one-stage approach (OSA), two-phase heuristic method (TPHM), tabu search algorithm (TSA), genetic algorithm (GA) and hierarchical multiplex structure (HIMS). Most of the methods mentioned above are time consuming and have high risk to result in local optimum. In this paper, a new search algorithm is proposed to solve MDVSP based on Artificial Immune Systems (AIS), which are inspirited by vertebrate immune systems. The proposed AIS algorithm is tested with 30 customers and 6 vehicles located in 3 depots. Experimental results show that the artificial immune system algorithm is an effective and efficient method for solving MDVSP problems.

Abstract:The vehicle routing problem whose solution is a key to improve efficiency of logistics problem is a clas- sical NP- hard problem,and it is usually difficult for traditional methods to obtain satisfying solutions so as to high logistics costing. In this paper,in order to reduce logistics costs,the hybrid genetic algorithm was selected to solve the VRP problem. This paper established the VRP mathematic model at first. Second,the improvement using Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure(GRASP) was focused on the local search ability of basic genetic algorithm to generate the initial solution. The genetic algorithm was used to find the best solution from the initial solutions in the end. The calculation result shows that this improved genetic algorithm can solve the vehicle routing problem better than the basic one and reduce logistics costing effectively.

Abstract:This paper improves the mathematical model for the vehicle routing problem with time windows where a limited number of vehicles is given, which not only reflects the feature of the limited number of vehicles in the depot, but also is compatible with VRPTW; redefines the distance between the customers used in the customer clustering, designs the customer clustering assignment algorithm, which can help achieve the initialization of the genetic algorithm and provides a new method for VRPTW customer clustering assignment; proposes an improved chromosome representation on the basis of customer, which can denote the different vehicle number sent by the depot and the customers unserviced; designs the genetic algorithm to solve m-VRPTW, and proves the validity of the algorithm by the experiments.

Abstract:A bi-level programming model of mixed transportation network design was given to study the heuristic algorithm for solving mixed transportation network design with the goal of minimizing the road construction cost and network cost.The immune regulation,clone selection,immune memory were brought into standard genetic algorithm to design genetic immune algorithm for solving mixed transportation network design in view of the limitations of standard genetic algorithm and based on immunity theory.A numerical example verified the effectiveness of the algorithm,and the genetic immune algorithm was compared with standard genetic algorithm.The result shows that genetic immune algorithm gets a better solution than standard genetic algorithm in solving mixed transportation network design.

The paper describes the mathematics model of the vehicle routing problem and the overview of the immune algorithm, introduces a hybrid immune-genetic algorithm based on the affinity of the antibody; mends the crossover operator ; applys the hybrid immune-genetic algorithm to solve the vehicle scheduling problem with limited route length. Experiment result shows the hybrid immune-genetic algorithm can find the optimal or nearly optimal solution effectively compaied with the genetic algorithm.

Abstract:To study stochastic Vehicle Routing Problems(VRP) with uncertain demand and travel time,a stochastic programming model was formulated and an improved genetic algorithm with self-adaptive mechanism was proposed for routes optimization.Self-adaptive selection mechanism was introduced for amending the fitness value to overcome the premature convergence effectively and a new crossover operator was developed in the algorithm.Computational simulations and comparisons based on two kinds of stochastic VRP problems with different size were provided.Results demonstrated that the proposed algorithm obtained better results with higher convergence speed.
