Abstract:Convex and concave fuzzy mappings are considered in this paper. Based on the seminal work of Nanda and Kar on the definition of convex fuzzy mapping, the operations of convex fuzzy mapping are established. Some of the important concepts such as positively homogeneous, infimal convolution, right scalar multiplication, and convex hull are introduced and the corresponding theorems are demonstrated by using the parametric representation of fuzzy numbers.

Abstract:Many authors discussed the interpolation mechanism of fuzzy logic system applied in control. The input and output of fuzzy control system are always restrained in (fuzzy) numbers-associated with fuzzification and defuzzification procedure. In artificial intelligence area we need use common fuzzy sets to represent vague and fuzzy concept. In this paper, we propose a "local relation mapping" theory, which is a corresponding result of interpolation mechanism of fuzzy logical system without fuzzification and defuzzification. This local relation mapping property holds in Mamdani algorithm (Max-Min fuzzy reasoning model). We find that each CRI fuzzy reasoning method based on the multi-valued logic implication operator has an approximate Mamdani algorithm. The fuzzy relation matrix of CRI fuzzy inference method based on the multivalued logic implication operator has an enveloping surface of Mamdani algorithm. So most CRI fuzzy reasoning methods have local relation mapping property approximately

Abstract:The k-valued Kleene functions over Kleene algebra (instead of over Post algebra) are defined. Multivalued logic and fuzzy logic are studied in the light of lattice theory. It is shown that all Kleene k-valued logic (k = 3 or more) have the same algebraic structure as fuzzy logic through lattice isomorphism. As a by-product, an asymptotic formula and upper bound for enumeratinlg fuzzy switching functions of n variables is obtained. Some conditions for minimizing Kleene functions are discussed, and an efficient generalized Karnaught map method is described. An application is made of the above Kleene multivalued logic to the fault diagnosis of combinational circuits. The fault norm of a combinational circuit is introduced and it is shown that this norm contains all the information about the fault situation of the circuit, and can hence be used to solve such problems as fault analysis, fault diagnosis, and detection of circuit redundance and fault masking.

From these discussions, some kind of measure of nonlinearity of the fuzzy controllers is proposed. Abstract:This paper further studies the fuzzy rough sets based on fuzzy coverings. We first present the notions of the lower and upper approximation operators based on fuzzy coverings and derive their basic properties. To facilitate the computation of fuzzy coverings for fuzzy covering rough sets, the concepts of fuzzy subcoverings, the reducible and intersectional elements, the union and intersection operations are provided and their properties are discussed in detail. Afterwards, we introduce the concepts of consistent functions and fuzzy covering mappings and provide a basic theoretical foundation for the communication between fuzzy covering information systems. In addition, the notion of homomorphisms is proposed to reveal the relationship between fuzzy covering information systems. We show how large-scale fuzzy covering information systems and dynamic fuzzy covering information systems can be converted into small-scale ones by means of homomorphisms. Finally, an illustrative example is employed to show that the attribute reduction can be simplified significantly by our proposed approach.

Abstract:This study aimed to investigate the degree to which an L -fuzzy subset of a vector space could be considered an L -fuzzy vector subspace. Characterizations of this relationship were provided, and a novel approach to the fuzzification of a vector space was introduced. In the case where L was a complete distributive lattice, an L -fuzzy convex structure was obtained using L -fuzzy vector subspace degrees, thereby forming an L -fuzzy convex space. Additionally, it was proved that a linear mapping between vector spaces precisely corresponded to an L -fuzzy convexity-preserving mappings and L -fuzzy convex-to-convex mappings.

Abstract:A differential theory of convex fuzzy mapping is established in this paper. We first study the fuzzy extremum problems. The problems of minimizing and maximizing a convex fuzzy mapping are considered, and the necessary and/or sufficient optimality conditions are developed. We discuss the concept of saddle-points and minimax theorems under fuzzy environment. The results obtained are used to the Lagrangian dual of fuzzy programming. Lagrangian dual and KKT conditions for convex fuzzy programming are derived. Furtheromore, the above results are applied to fuzzy linear programming and fuzzy quadratic programming.

Abstract:In digital-based information boom, the fuzzy covering rough set model is an important mathematical tool for artificial intelligence, and how to build the bridge between the fuzzy covering rough set theory and Pawlak's model is becoming a hot research topic. In this paper, we first present the $\gamma-$fuzzy covering based probabilistic and grade approximation operators and double-quantitative approximation operators. We also study the relationships among the three types of $\gamma-$fuzzy covering based approximation operators. Second, we propose the $\gamma^{\ast}-$fuzzy coverings based multi-granulation probabilistic and grade lower and upper approximation operators and multi-granulation double-quantitative lower and upper approximation operators. We also investigate the relationships among these types of $\gamma-$fuzzy coverings based approximation operators. Finally, we employ several examples to illustrate how to construct the lower and upper approximations of fuzzy sets with the absolute and relative quantitative information.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a tabu search technique to approximately solve fuzzy optimization problems. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed method by applying it to an elementary fuzzy optimization problem. Other applications of the method to fuzzy linear programming, fuzzy regression and the training of fuzzy neural networks are also presented.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a notion of complex compact intervals on which Minkowski addition and scalar multiplication operators are well defined to form the space of complex fuzzy numbers whose α -cuts are complex intervals. Some basic fuzzy partial ordering relations among the complex numbers with " ≤C ", the complex intervals with "≪", the complex fuzzy numbers with " ⪯C ̃ " and the discrete fuzzy complex-valued functions with ≲ are studied. Based on these fundamental properties, we introduce a concept of Caputo fractional sum and difference for the discrete fuzzy complex-valued functions and establish some of their basic results. Moreover, by introducing the complex monotone iterative technique combined with the method of upper and lower solutions, the existence of extremal solutions for discrete complex fuzzy Caputo fractional difference equations is investigated. In each section, several examples are presented to show the feasibility of our obtained results.

Abstract:The present paper aims to introduce the concept of weak-fuzzy contraction mappings in the graph structure within the context of fuzzy cone metric spaces. We prove some fixed point results endowed with a graph using weak-fuzzy contractions. By relaxing the continuity condition of mappings involved, our results enrich and generalize some well-known results in fixed point theory. With the help of new lemmas, our proofs are straight forward. We furnish the validity of our findings with appropriate examples. This approach is completely new and will be beneficial for the future aspects of the related study. We provide an application of integral equations to illustrate the usability of our theory.

Abstract:In this paper, we give some properties of fuzzy Riesz homomorphism on fuzzy Riesz space. We give definitions of fuzzy quotient spaces, and some characterizations of fuzzy Archimedean quotient spaces. We prove the properties which fuzzy Riesz homomorphism is fuzzy order continuous, and study the extension of fuzzy lattice homomorphism and the extension of fuzzy order continuous lattice homomorphism. Finally, we investigate the factorization by fuzzy Riesz homomorphisms.

Abstract:This paper discusses some convergence properties in fuzzy ordered proximal approaches defined by {(gn,Tn)}—sequences of pairs, where g:A→A is a surjective self-mapping and T:A→B, where Aand Bare nonempty subsets of and abstract nonempty set X and (X,M,∗,≺̲) is a partially ordered non-Archimedean fuzzy metric space which is endowed with a fuzzy metric M, a triangular norm * and an ordering ≺̲. The fuzzy set M takes values in a sequence or set {Mσn} where the elements of the so-called switching rule {σn}⊂Z+ are defined from X×X×Z0+ to a subset of Z+. Such a switching rule selects a particular realization of M at the nth iteration and it is parameterized by a growth evolution sequence {αn} and a sequence or set {ψσn} which belongs to the so-called Ψ(σ,α)-lower-bounding mappings which are defined from [0, 1] to [0, 1]. Some application examples concerning discrete systems under switching rules and best approximation solvability of algebraic equations are discussed.

Abstract:This paper investigates the polynomial fuzzy controller design methodology for continuous-time positive polynomial fuzzy (PPF) systems to enlarge their feasible area. An improved Chebyshev membership function-dependent (MFD) convexification method is proposed to handle the nonconvex stability conditions and positivity conditions. Compared with the previous MFD convexification method, this improved convexification method removes the positive restriction imposed on the slack matrices, so it reduces the conservatism of the analysis results and helps to expand the system feasible area. In addition, this improved convexification method can also be extended to the saturated PPF systems (SPPF), and together with the convexification method proposed for the nonconvex estimation conditions of the polyhedron domain of attraction (DOA), the more relaxed results can be derived to obtain a larger estimation of DOA. In both cases, without and with input saturation constraints, a numerical example is used to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed controller design methodology and novel convexification methods in enlarging the feasible area and estimation of DOA.

Abstract:System of fuzzy equations is a widespread problem in many applied fields, such as production planning, resource management, optimization decision, and so on, and the variation description of fuzzy variables is the bottle neck problem of realizing solution operation. Starting from the structure-feature of fuzzy information and the essential characteristic of fuzzy decision, this paper proposes the concept of quasi-linear fuzzy number, and establishes a solution model based on metric and uncertainty restriction for system of fuzzy equations (denoted by FESM-M+U, for short); further, on the basis of quasi-linear fuzzy number and principle operation strategy, then gives a genetic algorithm named by FGA-QL+PO; finally, considers its convergence using Markov chain theory and analyzes its performance through an example. All these indicate that, FGA-QL+PO can not only effectively reflect decision consciousness, but has good global convergence, and be suitable for all systems of fuzzy equations, so it can be widely used in many problems.

Abstract:Fuzzy difference equations are becoming increasingly popular in fields like engineering, ecology, and social science. Difference equations find numerous applications in real-life problems. Our study demonstrates that the logarithmic-type fuzzy difference equation of order two possesses a nonnegative solution, and an equilibrium point, and exhibits asymptotic behavior. Where, x i represents the sequence of fuzzy numbers, and the parameters α , β , A , along with the initial conditions x −1 and x 0 , are positive fuzzy numbers. The characterization theorem is employed to convert each single logarithmic fuzzy difference equation into a set of two crisp logarithmic difference equations within a fuzzy environment. We evaluated the stability of the equilibrium point of the fuzzy system. Utilizing variational iteration techniques, the method of g-division, inequality skills, and a theory of comparison for logarithmic fuzzy difference equations, we investigated the governing equation dynamics, including its boundedness, existence, and both local and global stability analysis. Additionally, we provided some numerical solutions for the equation describing the system to verify our results.
