Abstract:As the main factors of city scenes,the judgment of city architectural style was fuzzy and arbitrary.Based on the mathematical multi-factor-weighted model,this paper expounds how to determine the city architectural style through choosing the influence factors,assigning factor weight,and optimum weight stacking,etc.The study of architectural style in Yuhuan is taken as an example,and it shows that this method can meet the needs of urban design and construction,and has a greater operability.

Abstract:This paper mainly describes observation,touch,experience and consideration of form when studying styling theory and basic design language,i.e.the design form is a thinking process from origin to change point.The concept and change relationship of design form are analyzed.The change process from origin to change point between form and thinking is discussed in combination with jar design change.Therefore,it is concluded that a designer's quality and his cultural education have a significant influence on form development.

Abstract:Form related to mathematics,physics,logic,metaphysics from the very beginning,characterizing by its ambiguity and a single phrase with abundant meanings.The essential attributes of form,for this reason,are not unitary and constant.It is impossible to give form a normative definition by genus and difference with precise intention and extension.The nature of form owned a remote source in logic,which has purely formal characteristics.Logic aims at pursuing universal truth about the understandable and formal truth concerning the world of reason.Form,logic,reason,mathematics,can not be regarded only as thinking medium,or scientific method,they are,in fact,propping up,regulating crucial concepts,propositions,features and topics in the field of metaphysics and epistemology.The exact determination of form should be fixed on either meta-category or non meta-category because of its specific complexity,ambiguity and flexibility.Form constituted one of perennial factors that has molded and displayed spiritual qualities of Western culture such as idea of two worlds,doctrine of essence,dichotomy of object and subject,causal determinism,exact analysis,etc..

Abstract:Based on the negative criticisms on the Formalism by mainstream critics, the paper analyses the origin and the achievements of the poetic school currently flourishing in America. It further investigates the differences between the New Formalists and the metrical poets of the 1950s and 1960s, concluding that New Formalism, as a unique literary phenomenon, is justified in its existence by the aesthetic virtues it advocates.

Abstract:The exploration of the formal language of Chinese painting has always been based on the "descriptive system"of classical theories of Chinese painting.In the descriptive system of form and technique,discussions are mainly on introductions of techniques.No effort has been made in the "descriptive system"of Chinese painting from a scientific and macro perspective.Based on the traditional framework of the formal language and technique system of Chinese painting,this paper aims to make a systematic study of the formal requirements and traditional elements in Chinese painting.This paper argues from an analytical point that there should be two states in Chinese painting,one for pure creation and the other for teaching.Reform of contemporary Chinese painting should start with the analytic point of"teaching".

Abstract:Research material is commonly supported by paintings. However, if paintings are viewed as the representation and re-composition of architecture, we can focus on the pattern of the selection, referencing, and re-composition of the form elements. This study applies semiotic theories to architectural studies of the Dunhuang frescoes. It extracts and analyzes the symbols (form elements) in the architectural images of the Northern Dynasties. It also interprets the underlying rules of the selection, adoption, and re-composition of the symbols by component analysis. The presence of commonly adopted components, as well as the semiotic structural system under which the components with distinctive characters can be continuously broken down, endow the seemingly simple Northern Dynasties architectural images with both unity and variation.

Abstract:Multiple longitudinal unified times are spread out laterally by this paper through analysis on ancient Greek temples, ancient Romanesque arched architecture, Gothic churches, domed architecture and other western classical architectural forms in various historical periods, and five types of relations between architectural forms and structures are found out through summarization in combination with contemporary technological characteristics. The conclusion is that harmonic coexistence of technology and art can be truly achieved through architectural form creation on basis of respect to the laws of structural science and through active cooperation between architects and structural engineers.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to discuss the laws of planar composition in interior design, analyze the role and use of basic elements such as points, lines and surfaces in interior design, as well as the analysis of the laws of composition such as contrast and symmetry, proportion and balance, rhythm and repetition. Firstly, the thesis introduces the importance of points, lines and surfaces as constituent elements in interior design, and discusses their influence on spatial atmosphere, visual effect and overall sense. Secondly, through the analysis of the compositional laws of contrast and symmetry, proportion and balance, rhythm and repetition, the paper elaborates on the principles and effects of the application of these laws in interior design. Then, the thesis discusses the application of planar composition in different styles, including modern minimalist style, European classical style, Chinese traditional style, etc., showing the characteristics and design techniques of planar composition in different styles. Finally, the paper discusses the optimal use of interior space from the perspective of plane composition, emphasizing the importance of the unity of functionality and aesthetics, spatial layout and flow design, and the collocation of materials and colors. Through in-depth analysis of the laws of plane composition in interior design, this paper aims to provide designers with certain theoretical guidance and practical reference, with a view to achieving better design effects and space utilization.
