Abstract:In this paper, we mainly study some properties of elementary n-Lie algebras, and prove some necessary and sufficient conditions for elementary n-Lie algebras. We also give the relations between elementary n-algebras and E-algebras.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a new algebraic structure, n-Lie H-pseudoalgebras, which generalize both Lie H-pseudoalgebras and Filippov algebras. Furthermore, we discuss the structure of n-Lie H-pseudoalgebras, and display an analogue of Engel's classical theorem for Lie algebras. Finally, we explain the good prospects of the n-Lie H-pseudoalgebras theory in physics.

Abstract:In this paper, we study (n-1)-order deformations of an n-Lie algebra and introduce the notion of a Nijenhuis operator on an n-Lie algebra, which could give rise to trivial deformations. We prove that a polynomial of a Nijenhuis operator is still a Nijenhuis operator. Finally, we give various constructions of Nijenhuis operators and some examples.

Abstract:Nongraded simple Lie algebras appear naturally in mathematical physics. In this paper, a new class of nongraded simple Lie algebras are presented based on the pairs (A, D) consisting of a commutative associative unital algebra A and a finite dimensional commutative derivation subalgebra D such that A is D-simple. The isomorphism classes of these nongraded Lie algebras are also determined and the structure space of these algebras is given explicitly.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the notions of a [Formula: see text]-[Formula: see text]-algebra and a 3-Lie 2-algebra. The former is a model for a 3-Lie algebra that satisfy the fundamental identity up to all higher homotopies, and the latter is the categorification of a 3-Lie algebra. We prove that the 2-category of 2-term [Formula: see text]-[Formula: see text]-algebras is equivalent to the 2-category of 3-Lie 2-algebras. Skeletal and strict 3-Lie 2-algebras are studied in detail. A construction of a 3-Lie 2-algebra from a symplectic 3-Lie algebra is given.

Abstract:The occurrence of stable decagonal quasicrystalline phase in Al-Co-Ni and Al-Cu-Co alloys through conventional solidification is well established. Earlier, we have studied the effect of Cu substitution in place of Co in the Al70 Co15Ni15 alloy. Here we report the structural/micro-structural changes with substitution of Cu for Ni in rapidly solidified Al-Co-Ni alloys. The melt-spun ribbons have been characterized using X-ray diffractometry (XRD), Scanning and transmission electron microscopy (SEM & TEM). With an increase in Cu content in the melt spun Al70 Co15Cux Ni15-x (x=0 to 15) alloys, the relative amount of the decagonal phase decreased up to 10 at% of Cu. At this composition the quaternary alloy showed the coexistence of decagonal quasicrystal and superstructure of tau 3 vacancy ordered crystalline phases. The decagonal phase containing Cu showed more disordering compared to Al-Co-Ni alloys. The implication of the structural / microstructural changes due to Cu substitution in stable decagonal quasicrystal will be discussed

Abstract:For a given n-Lie algebra A, n-Lie algebra structures on the vector space An = { (x1, · · · , xn) | xi ∈ A, 1 ≤ i ≤ n } are constructed. For each s ≥ 2, the n-Lie product [, · · · , ]s is defined on the vector space An , which is called the exterior direct sum n-Lie algebra of the n-Lie algebra A. And it is proved that, n-Lie algebra A can be embedded into its exterior direct sum n-Lie algebras. And some ideals and subalgebras of (An , [, · · · , ]s) are obtained.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce the concept of $n$-Lie-isoclinism on non-Lie Leibniz algebras. Among the results obtained, we provide several characterizations of $n$-Lie-isoclinic classes of Leibniz algebras. Also, we provide a characterization of $n$-Lie-stem Leibniz algebras, and prove that every $n$-Lie-isoclinic class of Leibniz algebras contains a $n$-Lie-stem Leibniz algebra.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the representations for the filiform Lie superalgebras Lm,n, a particular class of nilpotent Lie superalgebras. We determine the minimal dimension of a faithful module over Lm,n using the theory of linear algebra. In addition, using the method of Feingold and Frenkel (1985), we construct some finite and infinite dimensional modules over Lm,n on the Grassmann algebra and the mixed Clifford–Weyl algebra.
