INVESTIGATION OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION MANAGEMENT IN SCHOOLS AND KINDERGARTENS

Abstract:[Objective] To explore the situation of infectious disease control and prevention in schools and kindergartens and to provide the basis to next steps of enhancing the infectious management in schools.[Methods] Used multiplestage sampling method to select schools and kindergartens;all selected schools and kindergartens were surveyed.[Results] Total number of schools and kindergartens was 280.80.71% of them had the system about infectious diseases reporting.72.50% had the health examination in the morning.But only 60.71% of all schools kept the records of morning examination.Only 30% had records about missing school.40.85% of all schools had no school doctor which was required by the school regulation.97.47% of staff working in dining-room had the health certificates.[Conclusion] Both regulations establishment and implementation in urban schools are better than that in rural schools.Most of the schools and kindergartens have the systems about infectious disease prevention and control.But there are still some of risk factors of infectious disease epidemic / outbreaks in schools and kindergartens.Sanitation supervise should be enhanced.Methods should be developed to increase the ability of infectious disease prevention and control in educational institute.
