Abstract:Milkreplacer is one of the most important sources of liquid feed for calves.They are very economical and,in many situations,more easily adapted to the manual labor and facilities needs of calf-raising operations than either whole or waste milk.The nutritional availability of protein sources used for milk-replacers is a critical factor in determining the outcome and economy of the feeding program based on the source of feed used.The application,research progresses of protein sources in milk-replacers were reviewed to provide theoretical direction and references in this article.
