Abstract:Objectives: Discussing the regulation effect of government in health care. Methods: Theoretical discussion is based on the literature review. Results: At present, Chinese health system is being faced a serious trust crisis. The roots of the issue are a deficit of system and the key point is the lack of governance and supervision by the government. The existing problems have to solve by means of leading role of government and sufficiently using market competition. The professional moral,ethnics,trust and the dignity and responsiveness are the important relationship between doctors and patients. Government regulation should be separating between rowing and steering, governance and administration,and management by classification. Government will transform its role by doing fewer rows and more steers through comprehensive economic, legislative and administrative means. The formulation of health policy must be people-oriented and timely. Conclusions: The targets of the success in Chinese health reform should be:(1)reaching to the accessible and affordable health services, solving or diminishing the problem on difficulties to search the doctor and suffer the high medical costs; (2)having a fairness of health financing, establishing an universal health insurance system is the future direction; (3) Having a good health status in Chinese population; (4) having an innovative health system and operational mechanism.
