Abstract:The major impetuses of factor movements and industry shifting in the economic integration in the Yangtze Delta Region have caused changes in spatial structures and industrial structures and promoted economic integration.First of all,through analyzing the frames of new spatial economics,an industry shifting theory of ″Flying Geese Pattern″ is worked out.A theoretical frame of ″Concentration-dispersing″ with industry shifting as major impetuses is set up and is used to explain the development of industry shifting and spatial structures.Secondly,based on the related theory of competition advantage in regional industry,the appraisal model of industry shifting is established and used to carry out quantitative appraisal on the competitive advantage of 25 two-digital code industries in Shanghai and Zhejiang in the two typical years of 1990 and 2004.It reveals the objective path of the central shifting and the development of industrial and spatial structures in the region.Thirdly,based on the devolvement course of industry shifting and through an analysis of dynamic variety in average income per capita from 1980 to 2003,it is defined that a long-term economic development in the Yangtze River Delta is a typical ″Concentration-dispersing″ evolvement duration with industry as a carrier and Shanghai as a center.In the 1980th,the main ″Center-Periphery″ system covers ″Shanghai-peripheries of Shanghai + peripheries of the Yangtze River Delta″.At the beginning of the 21 Century,the main ″Center-periphery″ system is developed,covering the Yangtze River Delta —— Peripheries of the Yangtze River Delta.
