Abstract:In this article, we present the system development of Virtual EMC Lab (“Virtual Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory”). It is a toolkit developed for the electronic and electric product/system design, modelling, simulation, analysis, diagnosis and assessment tailored to the electromagnetic compatibility problems. The toolkit includes a solid modelling front-end which simplifies the geometrical structure of equipment under test (EUT), analytical and numerical solvers for different applications, and visualization tools. It is dedicated to solve electromagnetic interference, immunity and emission problems in board level and system level.

Abstract:This paper presents a virtual experiment system integrated by signal generator, oscilloscope, and signal analysis instrument. Using MATLAB Web server and Java technology, this system is designed as a virtual signal processing and analysis platform. Through the Internet, client computers can use a Web browser (such as Internet Explorer) to realize remote signal processing and analysis for research.

Abstract:This paper designs a household ECG monitoring system based on virtual instrument technology. Its mobile terminal collects the ECG information, and then the information is transmitted to the virtual analyzer via the wireless communication module, so that realizing information sharing with medical institutions through the Internet. The paper introduces the design and implementation of the mobile terminal and virtual analyzer. Experiments show that the household ECG based on virtual instrument technology has a humanity interface, powerful analysis and extension function, in accordance with the trend of miniaturization, modularization and networking.

Abstract:The concept and the theory model of the virtual testing based on virtual reality are studied.In terms of the mapping relation between the vehicle vibration testing system and the virtual testing system of vehicle vibration based on virtual reality(VTSVVBVR),the system framework design and the implementation method of the VTSVVBVR,which consists of virtual reality subsystem,modeling subsystem and virtual instrument subsystem,are proposed.The VTSVVBVR is designed,and the display of the virtual testing results of the vehicle vibration is presented,which has shown that the theory model of the virtual testing based on virtual reality is suitable for the VTSVVBVR design,and the vehicle vibration and its signals of time domain and frequency domain could be observed simultaneously in three observation models respectively by the aid of the system.

Abstract:In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a web-based electronic circuit simulation system named ECVlab. This system combines technologies as rich client technology, XML, and circuit simulation, and provides the user with vivid interface, convenient operation and powerful simulation capability. At the moment, ECVlab has been implemented and successfully applied in an undergraduate course in Zhejiang University and it was evaluated by undergraduate students. Students made statistically significant learning gains as a result of using ECVlab, and rated them positively in terms of improving operation capability, enhancing interests for digital circuit and offering opportunity to inspire innovation and exploration. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.

Abstract:With the development of E-learning technology, web-based virtual laboratory has aroused more and more attention of educators. In this paper, we describe the design of a web-based electronic circuit virtual laboratory system for digital circuit This system provides the user with real expression, convenient operation and powerful simulation capability. Furthermore, we designed segment-simulation mechanism and circuit status persistence mechanism to realize the simulation process in digital circuit. At the moment, ECVlab (Electronic Circuit Virtual Laboratory) has been implemented and successfully applied in an undergraduate course in Zhejiang University and has gained positive evaluation from the undergraduate students.

Abstract:With the gradual increasing of the transmission voltage level, the situation of interference on secondary side equipment in smart substations is becoming more serious. The authors tested the interference waveforms caused by the circuit breaker’s operation at the smart substation, which showed the severity of the electromagnetic (EM) environment. This paper takes the electronic current transformer acquisition card as an example. The influence of EM interference sources on the reliability of the acquisition card is analyzed. Then, standardized electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) immunity tests of the international electrotechnical commission (IEC) for different interferences are implemented. Typical output characteristics of acquisition cards for different tests are analyzed. Innovatively, this paper proposes a quantitative evaluation method of output waveform disturbance to evaluate the acquisition card’s performance. This disturbance distortion is of great significance to the EM environment estimation of the acquisition card.

Abstract:Testing and monitoring the parameters and performance of aircraft AC, DC power systems and their components are a general method for finding their anomaly states. To troubleshoot latent faults and guarantee flight security, the testing and monitoring are very important in the maintenance procedure. Virtual instrument technology, computer control technology and variable frequency speed adjusting technology are used to implement testing and monitoring of the parameters and performance of aircraft AC, DC power systems and their components. The hardware and software design, AC generator output voltage measurement and its anomaly state discrimination are introduced. In order to improve the maintainability and scalability of the system software, LabWindows/CVI is utilized as the development tool. Laboratory and field test results indicate that the test accuracy and efficiency are improved; the anomaly state can be detected and found in time, the accuracy demand of the maintenance regulation is met. This integrated detection system has been employed in the maintenance work of aircraft electrical power systems and good practical application results are achieved.

Abstract:For the leak detecting system of water pipeline based on virtual instruments,its acoustic emission measurement and correlation are adopted for detecting orientation.The hardware consists of a host computer,a host wireless data transfer device,some subordination wireless data transfer devices and a data gather instrument.The software includes some modules of data analyzing and processing,data communication,the results query and display,system configuration etc.The system works well in practice.

Abstract:Based on the perturbation theory, an automatic measurement system of virtual instrumentation by advanced vector network analyzer was developed for measuring electromagnetic parameters of nano-magnetic thin films materials under microwave frequency. By means of this system, the complex permittivity of thin films samples and its complex permeability can be measured quickly and accurately. LabVIEW, a kind of graphic programming language can reduce development time and improve programming efficiency.

Abstract:This article introduces a kind of ultrasonic testing system based on virtual instrument technical. It is constituted of hardware and a control and analysis software. The article mainly introduces each module of the control and analysis software,and these modules are independence. This system is a set of integrated ultrasonic testing system,which can create a number of stimulation pulses,collect echo signal,realize signal de-noising,locate the defect,and extract the feature of the defect. By calling of the dll database function of the data card base on the LabVIEW software,it realizes the echo signal collecting. In this paper,a method that combines the signal wave with array extraction is presented to locate the defect,it also proposes a method that according to the ascend velocity of the wave and the descend velocity of the wave to judge the type of the defect. The results of experiment indicated that the defect could be located precisely and identified correctly.

Abstract:More and more attention is paid to radio frequency identification(RFID)technologies for logistics management application.However it takes a long time to develop a new RFID hardware for a new standard,which limits the further development of RFID technologies and its applications to some extent.Thus,based on virtual instrument and digital signal processing technologies,a method was systematically investigated using software instead of hardware to realize the basic functions of a RFID reader specified by ISO/IEC 18000-3 Mode 1.The measurement results show that the performances of the RFID virtual instrument have achieved the design goals regarding bandwidth,power,modulation accuracy and etc.,and the system has realized the basic functions of a RFID reader such as modulation/demodulation,filtering,encoding/decoding,cyclic redundancy check,logic control and so on.

Abstract:This paper introduced the design and implementation of data acquisition and analysis software for EMAT inspection device,based on virtual instrumentation technology.Voltage signal from EMAT receiver coil was acquired through high speed DAQ card,then analyzed,processed and stored on the computer.This software has friendly user interface,provides powerful functions including spectrum analysis,MATLAB environment interaction and automatic signal magnitudes continuous measurement,and simplifies the EMAT signals acquisition and measurement operations.

Abstract:In this article,an electric machine testing and monitoring system based on technology of virtual instrument has been built up.Hardware structure and software design flow are presented.This system has realized data collection and management for multi-voltage and multi-current,calculated the motor input power,power factor and other physical parameters.Based on interrelative theory,measured voltage and current signal,realtime data monitoring can be fulfilled.Experiment results show that the testing and monitoring system of the electric machine is available and efficient.
