Abstract:A wireless communication system based on nRF24E1 was developed to realize the wireless data transmission between FOG and computer and reduce the error of the environment in FOG's performance test.The system can improve the FOG's performance test system.The apparatus is small,simple and stable.

Abstract:The paper presents a high speed high precision data transmission system that solves the electromagnetic interference problem in wire data transmission of FOG performance measurements.Based on the RF chip with system grade,bidirectional wireless communication module is constructed.The system realizes high speed precision data transmission under electromagnetic interference environment.The FOG’s scale factor measurement indicates that the system has the feature of anti-electromagnetism,high speed and low error rate.

Abstract:A wireless communication system with high speed is developed to realize the high speed data transmission between FOG and computer and reduce the error of the environment in FOG's dynamic test. The system based on nRF24E1 forms the wireless communication module with high speed using the RADIO port on chip and embedded 8051 MCU and can transmit the FOG’s data at 2.4 GHz frequency. The apparatus is small, simple and stable.

Abstract:A test system was demonstrated to realize the measurement of pure lag time,which is an important factor for characterizing the dynamic performance of fiber optical gyroscope (FOG).In this test system,velocity shock was generated by a designed impact structure,and the measurement results were gotten through data analysis.The system can achieve pure lag test without changing the working status of FOG compared with previous test systems.The designing scheme and operating principle were analyzed in detail.Then the pure lag of a typical fiber-optic gyroscope product was experimentally tested.The measurement accuracy of the system depends on test times.The probability of realizing an accuracy of ±25 μs can be more than 99% with 31 times of tests.

Abstract:The development of wireless communication has indeed promoted cloud fog automation in the industry. It also introduces new issues of reliability and latency for control systems. This study sought to investigate the impacts of the commonly used industrial wireless network on the control performance parameters using a ball-and-beam (BB) time-critical balancing control system. An internal model control-inspired latency-aware wireless control framework (IMC-LA) is presented and employed in the BB system to handle the time delays and instability-creating elements introduced by wireless communication. A preliminary control assessment of the BB system under two new-generation wireless technologies, Wi-Fi 6 and 5G, was delivered. The correlation between network performance and control performance was analyzed statistically compared to the wired Ethernet condition. Test results show a dramatic decrease in position error after utilizing the proposed latency-aware wireless control framework. This study provides practical insights into the potential impacts of industrial wireless networks on control systems with a workable latency-aware wireless control approach.

Abstract:To meet the needs of high speed and good environmental adaptability for data transmission in industrial robot servo systems, this paper presents a wireless transmission technology on a data acquisition control terminal. The system is based on STM32F103RET6 processor and reads cache data from the SRAM of FPGA in DMA method, and communicates with a WIFI chip, Marvell 88w8686, through the SDIO interface. A host computer segments and filters the data received by the WIFI chip and sends control commands back to STM32. The functions of the hardware and software of the system contains data compression and storage, wireless data transmission, data display, and control-command transmission. An experimental platform has been built. It carries out real-time transmission of 8-16 digits based on the TCP/IP protocol with expected performance.

Abstract:As many robot applications become more reliant on wireless communications, wireless network latency and reliability have a growing impact on robot control. This article proposes a network hardware-in-the-loop (N-HiL) simulation framework to evaluate the impacts of wireless on robot control more efficiently and accurately, and then improve the design by employing correlation analysis between communication and control performances. The N-HiL method provides communication and robot developers with more trustworthy network conditions, while the huge efforts and costs of building and testing the entire physical robot system in real life are eliminated. These benefits are showcased in two representative latency-sensitive applications: 1) safe multirobot coordination for mobile robots, and 2) human-motion-based teleoperation for manipulators. Moreover, we deliver a preliminary assessment of two new-generation wireless technologies, the Wi-Fi6 and 5G, for those applications, which has demonstrated the effectiveness of the N-HiL method as well as the attractiveness of the wireless technologies.

Abstract:Aiming at the parts quality measurement process in the digital closed-loop manufacturing,a wireless terminal for on-machine measurement system of parts quality was designed.Firstly,framework of the on-machine measurement system was given,and functional requirements of the wireless terminal were presented afterwards.Then,hardware module selection and design,software module and worlflow of the wireless terminal were introduced,and the PC configuration software of WiFi network was designed.With a core embedded STM32 chip,the terminal was composed of RS485 communication module,WiFi and GRPS wireless network communication modules,etc.The terminal software was composed of the quality data collection,data format processing,wireless communications networks,field equipment control and GPIO interface module,etc.The results indicate that,as a critical component in the connection of field equipment and cloud server,this terminal can be used for the parts quality data acquisition,remote equipment monitoring,and parts quality control based on the cloud computing technology.

Abstract:Aiming at the problems of the complex environment of modern construction site,the random distribution of tower cranes and the hard and expensive physical connection between the tower cranes,the technology of industry wireless communication was investigated.On the basis of Token Bus Network,the wireless communication based on token passing was presented.The function of auto login and logout system and fault detection was also added to the wireless communication protocol.Finally,the flow of this wireless communication and the format of frames were given.The results indicate that this wireless communication mode can not only make the system fast and real-time but also have the good expandability.

Abstract:As automatic test technology advances, the number of programmable instruments in a single test system increases. Traditional wired communication methods have a limited range and involve complex cable layouts. Single-function wireless converters provide a viable alternative, but they have limitations. These include complicated configuration, issues with multi-system collaboration, and data blocking. This paper proposes a wireless ad hoc network platform for multi-bus instruments based on a low-cost ESP-12H WiFi module. The platform supports GPIB, RS232, RS485, and CAN bus interface instrument access. It features easy configuration, ad hoc networking, and self-repairing capabilities. A relay multi-hop network with a tree topology expands capacity and coverage. Additionally, a dynamic window-receiving mode and an improved multi-priority queue ensure data transmission integrity. The experimental results show that the platform's networking time is less than 10 s, and the coverage range reaches 50 m in complex indoor environments. It also shows good stability when running for a long time. However, due to hardware and software design limitations, the actual upload speeds fall short of the theoretical values. For example, RS232 and RS485 are about 10% slower than the theoretical values, and GPIB is about 80% slower. Further optimization is required in the future.

Abstract:The wireless image monitoring system in pig house was designed to solve the high costs and the low efficiency problem of pig house security management based on the technology of nRF905 and WiFi. The union of wireless multime- dia sensor networks and Internet was realized by the WiFi technology. The performance of the wireless multimedia sensor of the pig house monitoring system was analyzed. The results showed that environment parameter information and the growth conditions of the monitoring area were monitored accurately and transmitted reliably by the pig house monitoring system, which will provide the research foundation and methods to the design of the wireless multimedia image data transmission.

Abstract:Protocol testing has been one of the most active fields in computer networks. In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), before directly employing protocols on hardware testbed, we expect an effective test framework to verify the logical correctness of protocols on computers, which could facilitate the whole test process. Towards this goal, this paper introduces an upper test framework in WSNs, namely Protocol Testing Framework for WSNs (PTFW). PTFW is a visual client-server test framework which is built upon the unique features of WSNs. It is based on the layered architecture of WSNs and uses Finite State Machine (FSM) theory as the kernel. The proposed test framework is developed on Linux Operating System (OS) and coded in standard C language for the consideration of compatibility for real-world implementation. PTFW provides the standards/specifications of conformance testing for test on hardware testbed. To validate the performance and effectiveness of PTFW, we apply it to a real-world WSNs protocol. The results show that PTFW exhibits excellent visual and real-time features, which bring considerable convenience to the later employments on testbed.

Abstract:Wireless Sensor networks are gaining a role of importance in the research community. In this paper, we choose Imote2 to establish our testbed according to the analysis and the comparison of the hardware capabilities and software characteristics of the current WSNs products. Moreover, we present our hardware, software platforms and "30 motes" testbed to validate and evaluate our Fully Integrated Scheme of self-Configuration and self-Organization (FISCO) while further propose the rudiment of our general routing and data dissemination testbed. In the test stage, experimental results show that each mote in the network obtains the corresponding role and takes correct actions to handle every receiving message.

Abstract:Voice communication is the main part of wireless communication. ZigBee is a new wireless network technology, which includes low-rate, low-cost, low-energy consumption, and short distance. Although it is not designed for voice communication, its 250kbps bandwidth is enough to support the voice communication. In this paper, we achieve wireless real-time voice communication based on AMBE-1000, CC2530, and TI-Zstack protocol. We have five nodes, of which one is coordinator, one is end device, and the other three are routers. These five nodes constitute the wireless voice communication system. The system can be used in underground coal-mine equipment, earthquake disaster relief, fire fight rescue, etc.

Abstract:There are some problems in the traditional warehousing monitoring systems, such as complex wiring and high power consumption. Sometimes the warehousing is so remote that it is not quite convenient to supply the alternating current with cable. This paper introduces a new warehousing environment monitor system based on wireless sensor network (WSN), which can acquire real-time warehousing environment parameters and reduce the unnecessary loss caused by emergency such as fire. We adopt the CC2530 as a wireless data transceiver, SHT11 temperature and humidity sensors to realize the gathering of warehousing environment parameter, and voice module to realize audio acquisition. The communication system run the corresponding program for the coordinator nodes and terminal nodes under the IAR system, and realize data transmission between the nodes in a star network. The experimental results show that the system can realize the acquisition and processing of environmental temperature and humidity in a wide area.

Abstract:Using the self-designed embedded wireless network measurement and control platform as application object, this paper puts forward and takes three real-time measures improving system followed. The first step is to transplant μ C/OS-II, strong real-time operating system to improve the real-time response speed of the master node of the network center; the second step is to adopt the time-limited communication scheduling strategy of the nodes to reduce the waiting and delaying time of most nodes of the network. The third is to open the DuoCeiver mechanism to ensure that the urgent nodes are preferentially able to get service. The running results demonstrated these means are feasible and have effectively improved system's real-time capability.

Abstract:Aiming at the bridge test in the field and complex environment,an intelligent wireless data acquisition device is proposed,which equips with sensors,and integrates WiFi technology and 3G technology in one,can be applied to two different kinds of distributed bridge dynamic test systems.Firstly,the hardware implementation of the intelligent data acquisition device is described,and then the applications of WiFi technology and 3G technology in distributed bridge test system are given respectively.Because of the simple wiring,convenient data transmission,and coming with power,the device has brought great convenience for the bridge test in the field and complex environment.

Abstract:Through in-depth analysis of the typical international wireless sensor network experimental system, the current design generally lacks the real-time diagnosis of the health state of the fault node and the experimental platform, the management and control mechanism to minimize the interference of the experimental task, and the highly integrated and friendly experimental entrance, which will have an obvious distortion impact on the experimental results. In view of the above shortcomings, on the basis of fully absorbing the design advantages in this research field, this paper studies and designs a high fidelity WSN experimental system, which covers the elements of open source, heterogeneity, analysis visualization, and experimental repeatability and innovates the mechanisms of real-time diagnosis, hierarchical parallel control, and TDMA to collect a large amount of experimental data. In order to support a variety of applications based on IEEE802.15.4 band, a high-fidelity and user-friendly experimental platform software and hardware system with 15 clusters and 130 heterogeneous nodes is studied and designed, which can simulate outdoor mesh networks with more than 6 hops. This paper is designed and implemented on Linux open-source platform. The whole system has low cost and can be replicated. The design results have good reference and application value for the research and design of wireless sensor network experimental system.
