Abstract:Taking the construction project of the organic chemistry laboratory of Tongji University as an example, this paper introduces various measures for the construction and transformation of the laboratory, including adopting transparent vision design, planning the open layout of the laboratory, and realizing the conversion between the teaching and research uses of the laboratory. Through scientific calculation of the required ventilation, we design the air circulation path in the laboratory, it replaces the VAV system to maintain the air flow under micro negative pressure in the laboratory, standardizes the storage of hazardous chemicals and improves the laboratory safety management. In the whole construction process, the concept of environmental protection and health in the EHS system is introduced, and the information and intelligence factors are integrated. After that, the EHS concept continues to be integrated into the subsequent operation and management of the laboratory. This case, as a useful exploration in the field of the construction of smart chemical laboratories, provides a typical example for the transformation and upgrading of old laboratories and accumulates experience for subsequent work.
