Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(26)H(33)N(3)O(4), there are two crystallographically independent mol-ecules. The two cyclohexane rings are trans-fused; the ring neighboring the phenyl group is in a half-chair conformation and the other is in a chair conformation. The two nitro groups and the benzene ring of the dinitro-phenyl group are almost coplanar. Intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed.

Abstract:The title compound [systematic name: 1-(7-isopropyl-1,4a-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthren-1-ylmeth- yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole], C35H40N2, was obtained via the one-pot three-component condensation of benzil, formaldehyde and dehydroabietylamine, which is a fungal toxin. The two substituent phenyl groups and the imidazole ring form a conjugated system. The dihedral angles between the imidazole ring and the phenyl rings are 70.18 (9) and 12.77 (12)degrees. In the crystal structure, there are one intramolecular and two intermolecular hydrogen-bonding C-H center dot center dot center dot pi contacts. Furthermore, a weak C-H center dot center dot center dot N intramolecular hydrogen bond is observed.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H17N3O 3S, was synthesized via the reaction of 2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2- ylsulfanyl)benzoic acid and aniline in dichloromethane using dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as catalyst. The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine plane and the planes of the two benzene rings are 71.2 (2) and 62.7 (2)°; the dihedral angle between the planes of the two benzene rings is 68.4 (4)°. The molecular components are stabilized via pi -pi stacking interactions between adjacent benzene rings of the Schiff base units; the centroidtocentroid distance is 3.834 ( 3) angstrom. Abstract:In the title compound, C(27)H(23)N(3)O·H(2)O, the benzimidazole ring system has an r.m.s. deviation of 0.0071 Å and makes dihedral angles of 34.51 (2), 55.22 (3) and 41.05 (5)° with the central and N-bonded phenyl rings, respectively. In the crystal, the water mol-ecular is connected to the organic mol-ecule by inter-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds also occur.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H18BrN3O3, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-methanesulfonyl-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine and N-(2-bromophenyl)-2-hydroxybenzylamine in tetrahydrofuran. There are three different planes in the molecule, each of which is conjugated. The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine plane and the planes of the two phenyl rings are 107.85 (4) and 77.38 (2) degrees, and the dihedral angle between the planes of the two phenyl rings is 103.15(3)degrees.

Abstract:Two new Schiff bases based on 5-chloro-3-methyl-l-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carb aldehyde, namely, N-((5-chloro-3-methyl-1-pheny1-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)methylene)-4-morpholino aniline (IIIa) and N-(5-chloro-3-methyl-l-phenyl-lH-pyrazol-4-y1)methylene)-3-fluoro-4-morpholinoaniline (IIIb), were synthesized and characterized by IR, LC-MS, H-1 NMR and C-13 NMR spectroscopy. Meanwhile, the three-dimensional configurations of the two title compounds were further characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Both the compounds are thermodynamically stable trans-isomers. Moreover, the fluorescence properties and antioxidant activities against DPPH of the two target compounds have been investigated, and the results showed that the title compounds both have fluorescence performance and certain antioxidant activities against DPPH radical.

Abstract:The title anilide–imine compound, C24H26N2O, features an intramolecular N—H⋯N hydrogen bond involving the imine and anilide groups to generate an S(6) ring motif. The molecule displays an E configuration about the imine C=N double bond, with the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings being 86.5°. Abstract:The title compound (C18H13ClF3N3O) were synthesized and recrystallized from CH3OH. The compound was characterized by H-1 NMR, MS, HRMS, and X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallized in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 8.2354 (14), b = 12.686 (2), c = 16.633 (3) angstrom, alpha = 90, beta = 97.951 (3), gamma = 90 degrees, V = 1721.0 (5) angstrom(3), Z = 4, and R = 0.0376 for 1933 observed reflections with I > 2 sigma(I). X-ray analysis reveals that intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot N interactions exist in the adjacent molecules. Theoretical calculation of the title compound was carried out with HF/6-31G (d,p), B3LYP/6-31G (d, p). The full geometry optimization was carried out using 6-31G (d, p) basis set and the frontier orbital energy. The optimized geometric bond lengths and bond angles obtained by using HF and DFT (B3LYP) showed the best agreement with the experimental data.
