Abstract:Let X1,X2,… be i.i.d. random variables, and set Sn = X1 + … + Xn, Mn = max k≤n|Sk|,n ≥ 1. The precise rates in the law of the logarithm for Mn are obtained under sufficient and necessary conditions.
