Abstract:in the present age of consumption and information, the existing ways of architectures and cities have had a considerable change, this article summarizes the characteristic of contemporary architectures and cities effected by new social environment as "rupture": which includes "rupture" of time and space, "rupture" between architectures and cities and "rupture" between skin and interior of building. taking the theory of Rem Koolhaas, such as "Hyper-Building" and "Generic City", and the theory of Toyo Ito, such as "Temporary Building" and "Flowing Skin" for example, it explores the new way in which architectures and cities exist in the context of "rupture".

Abstract:There is a widely accepted concept that sentimental people are much more than rational people. People usually make their purchasing choices by visual perceptions. In this study, we want to gain the main visual perceptions of materials in some special furnitures in the early phases in user experience design. We used Ethnography and self-reporting to study. We discovered that the main visual perceptions of materials in furniture user experience design of the target users in the near future of the next 1-2 years are comfortable, emotional, and simple. We proposed three basic solutions of emotional user experience design, which were based on context and scenarios. The actual demand of the target users could be more easily understood by designers, and more visual solutions could be used by designers.

Abstract:Why are the product design of the Apple Inc. are so successful in the dog-eat-dog market? One of the most important reasons is that the mental imageries of product user experience design of Apple Inc. are close to the user's expectant material mental imageries.In this study, we want to gain the main mental imageries of information product materials user experience design of the target users(18-28 years old university students or the recent graduates in the east of China) in the near future of the next 1-2 years. We used Culture Scan, Contextual Inquiry, Semantic Differential Method, and the Coordinate of Mental Imagery to study. We discovered that the main mental imageries of information product materials user experience design of the target users in the near future of the next 1-2 years are high-technological and fashionable. We built a bridge from the the material mental imagery of the user to the material mental imagery of the designer. The actual demand of the consumers could be more easily understood by the company.

Landscape Architecture Frontiers

Abstract:Landscapes and human desires are inseparable: from survival and physiological needs, to the sense of belonging and identity, and self-actualization, all of which arise from landscapes. In other words, the landscape is the tangible representation of human desires. However, human’s desires are endless. They would lead to the unrestrained creation and change, or even irreversible damages to the landscape. Eventually, human beings may bury ourselves in the abyss of desire. Fortunately, such a doom could be avoided if humans can wisely utilize the ecosystem services (landscape services) obtained from nature, instead of immoderately consuming natural resources, to maintain the harmonious relationship between human (desires) and nature (landscapes). This can not only meet human’s primary needs like survival and safety, but also realize higher-level desires.

Abstract:With the research on the "territoriality of space", the core content of Deleuze's Smooth space theory, this article establishes the thought of territoriality architectural creation that can reflect the features of the times and adapt to the development needs of architecture and space environment. The thought of territoriality architectural creation is to coordinate and restructure the difference elements between the environment and the buildings. It can improve the creative logic between the contemporary architecture and the environment. From the perspective of territoriality, the buildings are actually placed in the overall urban environment or a large landscape. Territoriality architecture is created based on the relationship between the material and non-material factors of the urban environment.

Abstract:This article deals with the "scenery", "horizons", and perspectives constituting the subject's place and situation from the psychoanalyst's limited perspective. Moving away from the body and its "embodiments" and places, many of which are institutionalized, including language itself, we look into such matters as velocity and other "conjectures" associated with technique. In addition, we also consider the body and nature as a whole as sites of action and presentations, which in several scenes lead to representations of the world in view of the peculiarities in the subject's experiences. All virtualities, together with the "disembodiment of physical presence", add one more variable to our thoughts. Recent endeavors like the feminist and homeless movements have shed new light on our understanding of the desire to possess and govern a territory. Art (and here drama plays an essential role) seems to be the perfect system towards which perceptions and syntheses are directed in search of new concepts and directions for understanding (which, in turn, has recently undergone an unprecedented crisis). Still, we should point out that the latter issue, not dealt with in this article, will be discussed at a suitable opportunity.
