Abstract:Imidacloprid was prepared with 3-methylpridine as starting material via four steps included oxidzation,acylation,chlorination,condensation.The product structure was characterized by elemental analyses,IR spectra and 1 H NMR.It was an economical method to prepare imidacloprid with high yield and good purity.

Abstract:An improved synthesis technology of 1-methyl-3-trifluoromethyl-4-pyrazole carboxylic acid which is an important intermediate of pesticides was studied.The title compound was synthesized by sodium cyanoacetate via condensation,acylation,cyclization and hydrolysis.The suitable reaction conditions were found as follows.The condensation reaction was carried out at 40~45℃ for 5 h,and in which the ethanol was used as solvent,the molar ratio of sodium cyanoacetate to N-(methoxymethylene)-N,N-dimethylaminium methanesulfonate is 1:2.5,and under above conditions the yield was improved from 67%(reported in the literatures) to 93.7%.During acylation,TEA was used as acid-capturer,trifluoroacetyl chloride was used to replace phosgene as acylating reagent and the yield of 78.6% was obtained when the molar ratio of 3-(dimethylamino)acrylonitrile,trifluoroacetyl chloride and TEA is 1:1.5:2.The cyclization reaction was carried out in a mixed solvent of methanol and water,and the product yield of 74.3% was obtained.The structures of the intermediates and product were confirmed by 1H-NMR.The proposed process has quite good industrial value because of its high yields,cheap and easily available raw materials,moderate reaction conditions and convenient operations.

Abstract:2-Amino-3-methyl pyridine was prepared with 2-cyano-methylpyridine as raw material via hydrolysis in dilute basic solution using H_2O_2 as oxidant and Hofmann degradation with NaBrO.The feasible reaction conditions were as follows:hydrolysis,(50°C),5% NaOH,3.5 h,10% of H_2O_2;Hofmann degradation,(60°C),12% NaOH,0.5 h.The overall yield was 74%(mol).The product obtained was identified by GC-MS、IR、()~1H NMR and elemental analysis.

Abstract:A version of carbon-14 labelled imidacloprid,(E)-N-(1-((6-chloropyridin-3-yl) [14 C]methyl)imidazolidin-2-ylidene)nitramide (1354.2 MBq),was synthesized from barium [14 C]carbonate via Grignard reaction, reduction, bromination, nucleophilic substitution reaction and purified by preparative HPLC with the overall yield of 51％.The labelled prod-uct was identified by using ESI-MS and 1 H NMR.Its radiochemical and chemical purity are more than 98％,determined by TLC-IIA,HPLC-LSC,HPLC-FSA,and HPLC-PDA, respectively.The specific activity of the product is 1871.46 GBq/mol.This product can beused as radiotracer in the study of the directional accumulation and metabolism of imidaclo-prid in plants.

Abstract:3-Hydroxybenzylhydrazine dihydrochloride was synthesized from 3-hydroxybenzaldehyde and methoxycarbonylhydrazine via condensation, hydrogenation, decarboxylation and salt formation in a total yield of 77.1%. The yield of condensation was 94.6% and of hydrogenation was 99.8% by using Pd/C (5%) which can be reused 3 times at the optimal quantity of 3% (W/W). The yield of salt formation was 81.7%. This route is easy to industrialize for its simple operation, mild reacting condition and low cost.

Abstract:Pyridazine was prepared by hydrogenolysis of 3,6-dichloropyridazine obtained via chlorination of 3,6-pyridazine diol with phosphorus oxychloride.3,6-Pyridazine diol was prepared by cyclization of hydrazine dihydrochloride and maleic anhydride.The feasible reaction conditions were as follows: cyclization: the mole ratio of maleic anhydride to hydrazine dihydrochloride was 1∶1,100°C,3 h;chlorination: the mole ratio of 3,6-pyridazine diol to phosphorus oxychloride was 1∶12.5,100～105°C,5 h;catalytic hydrogenolysis: the mole ratio of 3,6-dichloropyridazine to triethylamine was 1∶2.6,50°C,H_2 0.5 MPa,6 h.The overall yield was 62.2%(mol).The product was identified by melting point test,()~1H NMR and elemental analysis.

Abstract:A new and efficient method for the synthesis of 4-methoxyl-2,3,5-trimethylpyiidine with an overall yield of 76% from cheap and easily available 2,3,5-trimethylpyridine was developed. The structure of related compounds was identified by IR, H-1 NMR and C-13 NMR. The method could be carried out economically on a huge scale.

Abstract:ZJ273,propyl 4-[2-[(4,6-dimethoxy-2-pyrimidinyl)oxy]benzylamino]benzoate,is a novel herbicide.The microsynthetic method of the compound was developed from 4,6-dimethoxy-2-pyrimidine,propyl(4-benzylamino) benzoate and phenol,and then purified by preparative-HPLC.The yield of end product was 53%.Its chemical structure was characterized by means of()~1H-NMR,MS,UV,and its chemical purity was determined to be exceed 98% by HPLC.The microsynthetic method of propyl 4[2-[(4,6-dimethoxy-2-pyrimidinyl)oxy] benzylamino]benzoate developed sets up a basis to synthesize the radioisotopic labeled target compound.

Abstract:2-Chloromethyl-3,5-dimethyl-4-nitropyridine hydrochloride, an important intermediate of omeprazole which is a very effective drug for the treatment of gastric ulcer, was prepared by N-oxidation with phosphotungstic acid as catalyst without solvent、nitration、rearrangement with acetic anhydride、hydrolysis in acidic condition and chlorination. The overall yield was over 70% and the molecular structure of the title compound was confirmed by ()~1H NMR.

Abstract:The target compounds——3-aminopyrrolidine dihydrochloride and its acetate are the key intermediates of tosufloxacin and other quinolone antibiotics. One of the synthetic routes of the target compounds is from benzylamine and ethylacrylate, which lead to 3-benzylaminopropionate by additional reaction, then affords 3-[N-(methoxycarbonylmethene)benzylamino]propionate through N-alkylation with methyl chloroacetate, further by Dieckmann cyclization, decarboxylation to obtain 1-benzyl-3-pyrrolidine, then oximate and hydrogenate it to gain the intermediate 3-amino-1-benzy1-pyrrolidone, which can be changed to target compounds easily. This route is much of industrial value because of the cheap and easily gained materials. But the original method presents many weakness such as low overall yield and troublesome operate process. We carried out our research work to improve the above method and got an obvious increase of N-alkylation yield from 62.4% to more than 95%, and also some improvement in some reaction process. Thus we succeed in getting an industrial route characterized by cheap and easily gained materials, convenient operate process and low cost.

Abstract:Disodium minodronate was synthesized from imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine by Mannich reaction,quaternarization with ethyl bromide, cyano displacement and then hydrolysis to give 2-(imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl)aceticacid which reacted with PCl3 followed by salification in an overall yield of 24%.

Abstract:Using 3,4-dichlorobenzenamine as raw material,5,6-dichloro-2-methylbenzimidazole was prepared by four unit reactions(acylation,nitration,reduction and cyclization).It has been showed that the acylation of 3,4-dichlorobenzenamine and the followed nitration could be finished in one pot,yielding 4,5-dichloro-2-nitrobenacetylamine in 85.9%.Reduction of 4,5-dichloro-2-nitrobenacetylamine with zinc dust offered 4,5-dichloro-2-aminobenzenamine in yield of 87.2%.Then 4,5-dichloro-2-aminobenzenamine was cyclized with acetic acid to give final 5,6-dichloro-2-methylbenziminazole in yield of 88.5%.

Abstract:p-trifluoromethylbenzonitrile was prepared from p-(trifluoromethyl)chlorobenzene and potussium cyanide catalyzed by tris(triphenylphosphine)nickle(0), which was prepared from anhydrous NiCl2 and triphenylphosphine in the presence of zinc.And then, the produced intermideate, p-trifluoromethylbenzonitrile was treated with hydrogen sulfide to give p-(trifluoromethyl)thiobenzamide and the yield of 90% with the purity of 99.7% was obtained for the objective product.The structure is correct through IR and GC-MS testing.The operation process is simple and reaction condition is moderate.

Abstract:2‐Chloro‐3‐amino‐4‐methylpyridine (1), a key intermediate in the synthesis of nervirapine, was prepared from 2‐cyanoacetamide and 4,4‐dimethoxyl‐2‐butanone via condensation, cyclization, one‐pot reaction of chlorination and hydrolysis, and Hofmann reaction. Utilization of the quadratic orthogonal test resulted in a high yield (62.1%) of the whole process.

Abstract:As one kind of tetrahydrophthalimide herbicides with high efficiency to control the weed in corn and soybean fields,flumiclora-pentyl was firstly synthesized by Sumitomo Chemical.Based on the traditional synthesis process,using p-fluorophenol as a starting material,a new synthesis process of flumiclora-pentyl was developed with several steps such as chlorination,etherification,nitrification,reduction and condensation.The yield of the product was 33%,and the purity was higher than 95%.The structures of the product and the intermediate were confirmed by Elementary Analysis,1H-NMR,MS and IR methods.
Technological Optimization of the Preparation of Imidacloprid

Abstract:In order to reduce the production cost of imidacloprid, the preparation technology for the direct combination of 2-chloro-5-chloromethylpyridine and 2-nitryliminoglyoxaline has been optimized in a 101, stirred tank reactor with a new solvent, butanone, and a new catalyst, benzyl triethyl-ammonium chloride (BTEAC), which was proved to be more profitable for the production of imidacloprid. Three main affecting factors (the reaction temperature, the molar ratio of BTEAC to 2-nitryliminoglyoxaline and the concentration of 2-nitryliminoglyoxaline) for the production of imidacloprid were investigated and the optimum operating conditions were found. Based on the above technological optimization, an industrial process for imidacloprid with a production capacity of 50 tons per year was put in operation using a 2500 L stirred tank reactor under the same operating conditions. Good yield and purity of imidacloprid was also obtained in the industrial production.

Abstract:A new process for the direct combination of 2-chloro-5-chloromethylpyridine and 2-nitroiminoimidazolidine under benzyltriethylammonium chloride (BTEAC) as the catalyst and butanone as the solvent to yield imidacloprid in an 11.5 L jet loop reactor was developed. Five main reaction conditions including reaction temperature, molar ratio of BTEAC to 2-nitroiminoimidazolidine, concentration of 2-nitroiminoimidazolidine, jet liquid flow rate, and the ratio of the inside diameter of the draft tube to that of the reactor were investigated and optimized. The average molar yield and purity of imidacloprid increased to approximately 80% and 92% under the optimum operating conditions, respectively. Finally, a comparison of the efficiency for the preparation of imidacloprid between the jet loop reactor and the stirred tank reactor under the same operating conditions was conducted.

Abstract:[Methods]As an important intermediate of pesticides,1-(4-chlorophenyl)pyrazolidin-3-one could besynthesized by the cyclization and oxidation from the raw material 4-chlorophenylhydrazine.[Results]Under the optimalcondition,the total yield was 72.5%based on 4-chlorophenylhydrazine and the purity was 99.2%.The structure of theresulting product was confirmed by IR and1H NMR.[Conclusions]The process exhibited mild reaction conditions andhigh yield,and is suitable for industrial production.

Abstract:An interesting approach to functionalized imidazolidines is described. These compounds are obtained in a copper(I)-catalyzed domino three-component coupling and cyclization reaction involving two formaldehyde-derived imine units and a terminal alkyne. Alternatively, imidazolidines can be obtained from propargylamines and formaldehyde-derived imines. This strategy provides a straightforward and atom-economic pathway to construct imidazolidines with high yields and benefits from readily available starting materials, convenient one-pot operations.

Abstract:chloro 5 methyl pyridine is an important intermediate for producing high efficient,low poisonous,low residual pesticides such as imidacloprid,acetamiprid,etc.The different technical routes of 2 chloro 5 methyl pyridine at home and abroad are considerably described,as well as their advantages and disadvantages.There are seven methods to synthesize 2 chlor methyl pyridine: such as oxidation of 3 methylpyridine,cyclocondensation of benzyl amine,diazotization,melting salt,cyclization,pyridone,one step chlorination of 3 methylpyridine.The problems existing in the synthesis of 2 chloro 5 methyl pyridine and solutions for it are put forward.Prospect of its developing tendency is also forecasted.
