Abstract:As people become more conscious of the importance of protecting the environment, the development of new energy vehicles has gained momentum. However, vehicles face challenges related to electromagnetic protection and acoustic absorption, which can have a serious impact on comfort and safety. This paper has designed a novel electromagnetic protection and sound insulation material using discarded feathers as a resource. The material takes advantage of the excellent properties of discarded feathers, such as their surface structure, ion adsorption, and sound absorption. It also adopts a completely green surface treatment method and a two-step method for surface metallization by electroless plating. By leveraging the hollow and porous structure of the feather and the interwoven fibers, the material can effectively absorb and disperse electromagnetic interference, especially at a frequency of 10 K Hz, with an excellent effect value of 45 dB. Through simulation calculations, researchers have explored the role of the material's structure in its electromagnetic shielding and sound absorption performance, paving the way for its potential use in the future.
