Effect of Volleyball Scoring Performance Analysis on the Women's VNL 2021 Championship Team

Abstract:Analysis of the performance of the women's volleyball team in the 2021 Volleyball Nation League provides an important performance indicator for scoring in the competition and an idea of the loss of points in the competition of the winning team against the team that competed. It was 17 matches and 112 sets. It compares the scoring performances of the championship team and the team competing with it using an independent t-test at a statistical significance level of.05 to analyze statistics. Performance analysis showed that attack (10.89±3.83 points per set), touch block (2.51±2.43 points per set), and block (2.09±1.50 points per set) were the most effective scores, and free points from opponents (4.30±2.24 points per set) were also secondary points from attacks. In terms of points loss, it was found that failing to get the ball (8.89±3.91 point per set) was the highest, followed by error attack (3.02±3.70 point per set), out (2.22±3.41 point per set), and touch (3.04±2.28 point per set) with similar points loss values. Scoring performance is a measure that creates a competitive chance to win a match. And scoring efficiency is a metric that needs to be produced in the least competitive way possible to give a team the opportunity to create an effective offensive game. A comparison of scoring and loss performance differences between the championship team and the rival team showed that attack, block, and serve were statistically different scoring performances and that scoring gains from digs and errors received were statistically significant (.05).
