Surfaces and Interfaces
Abstract:Owing to the property of biomedical energy conversion, Magnetoelastic generators are extensively used in wearable electronic sensors with distinct properties of short recovery time, high current output, sensitivity, selectivity, and stability. Conventionally noble materials such as textile substrate, gold, silver, platinum, FeCo, TbDyFe2 (Terfenol-D), and GaFe (Galfenol) were preferred to be used as chemical sensors in biotechnology, microelectronics or flexible electronics, optoelectronics, and most energy-related devices. However, concerning the aspect of designing skin-integrated electronics that interfere directly with machines, the trend is shifting towards the design of the developing metaverse. This way the development of a wearable as well as a skin like textured waterproof, low cost and low power interface has become inevitable. With the growing research scope in the design of flexible wearable sensors there is still an enormous desire to create a prudent interaction between humans and machines through the development of bio sensors, which this review article paves way for through an extensive study on the surface modified advanced magnetoelastic sensors for biomedical engineering. The design of these gadgets which serve as both a biological sensor and as a wearable power generator opens up new avenues for the scope of designing flexible magnetoelastic human-body applications. This review offers an extensive discussion on the key challenges and opportunities of the wearable and flexible bio sensors that paves the way for the invention ahead.
