Abstract:We characterize the sequences of complex numbers $(z_{n})_{n \in \mathbb{N}}$ and the locally complete $(DF)$-spaces $E$ such that for each $(e_{n})_{n \in \mathbb{N}} \in E^\mathbb{N}$ there exists an $E$-valued function $\mathbf{f}$ on $(0,\infty)$ (satisfying a mild regularity condition) such that $$\int_{0}^{\infty} t^{z_{n}} \mathbf{f}(t) dt = e_{n}, \qquad \forall n \in \mathbb{N},$$ where the integral should be understood as a Pettis integral. Moreover, in this case, we show that there always exists a solution $\mathbf{f}$ that is smooth on $(0,\infty)$ and satisfies certain optimal growth bounds near $0$ and $\infty$. The scalar-valued case $(E = \mathbb{C})$ was treated by Durán [Math. Nachr. 158 (1992), 175-194]. Our work is based upon his result.

Abstract:A great open problem is: can one learn the topology of the non-smooth path spaces with an L2 Hodge-deRham theory This one hopes to establish through a suitable complex of differential forms. Since the space is a Banach manifolds, and the Hodge theory is based on Hilbert spaces, it is trick to find such a complex. The relatively simpler Bismut tangent spaces and their tensor products, whose dual spaces are natural candidates for the complex, cannot be used, because these spaces are not necessarily closed under the Lie bracket operation if there is the effect of curvature. In this article we seek out a class of nice vector fields whose brackets behaves are calculable and behave nicely the damped tensor vector fields, using an Itô mp, which is also used by the authors in `Special Itô maps and an L2 Hodge theory for one forms on path spaces. Abstract:A famous result of Stieltjes relates the zeroes of the classical orthogonal polynomials with the configurations of points on the line that minimize a suitable energy. The energy has logarithmic interactions and an external field whose exponential is related to the weight of the classical orthogonal polynomials. The optimal configuration satisfies an algebraic set of equations: we call this set of algebraic equations the Stieltjes--Fekete problem or equivalently the Stieltjes--Bethe equations. In this work we consider the Stieltjes-Fekete problem when the derivative of the external field is an arbitrary rational complex function. We show that its solutions are in one-to-one correspondence with the zeroes of certain non-hermitean orthogonal polynomials that satisfy an excess of orthogonality conditions and are thus termed "degenerate". This generalizes the original result of Stieltjes.

Abstract:A class of stochastic delay equations in Banach space $E$ driven by cylindrical Wiener process is studied. We investigate two concepts of solutions: weak and generalised strong, and give conditions under which they are equivalent. We present an evolution equation approach in a Banach space $\Ep{p}:=E\times L^p(-1,0;E)$ proving that the solutions can be reformulated as $\Ep{p}$-valued Markov processes. Based on the Markovian representation we prove the existence and continuity of the solutions. The results are applied to stochastic delay partial differential equations with an application to neutral networks and population dynamics.

Abstract:A class of scalar Stieltjes like functions is realized as linear-fractional transformations of transfer functions of conservative systems based on a Schrödinger operator T_h in $L_2[a,+\infty)$ with a non-selfadjoint boundary condition. In particular it is shown that any Stieltjes function of this class can be realized in the unique way so that the main operator $\bA$ of a system is an accretive (*)-extension of a Schrödinger operator T_h. We derive formulas that restore the system uniquely and allow to find the exact value of a non-real parameter h in the definition of T_h as well as a real parameter $\mu$ that appears in the construction of the elements of the realizing system. An elaborate investigation of these formulas shows the dynamics of the restored parameters h and $\mu$ in terms of the changing free term $\gamma$ from the integral representation of the realizable function. It turns our that the parametric equations for the restored parameter h represent different circles whose centers and radii are determined by the realizable function. Similarly, the behavior of the restored parameter $\mu$ are described by hyperbolas.

Abstract:In this paper, we first give a coefficient inequality for holomorphic functions on the unit disc ${\mathbb {U}}$ in ${\mathbb {C}}$ which are subordinate to a holomorphic function p on ${\mathbb {U}}$ with $p'(0)\ne 0$. Next, as applications of this theorem, we will give the Fekete-Szegö inequality for subclasses of normalized starlike mappings and normalized quasi-convex mappings of type B on the unit ball ${\mathbb {B}}$ of a complex Banach space. We also give the Fekete-Szegö inequality for $(1+r)J_r$, where $J_r=J_r[f]$ is the nonlinear resolvent of a mapping f in the Carathéodory family ${{\mathscr {M}}}({\mathbb {B}})$. Various particular cases will be also considered.

A Maximum Modulus Theorem for functions admitting Stokes phenomena, and specific cases of Dulac's Theorem

Abstract:We study large classes of real-valued analytic functions that naturally emerge in the understanding of Dulac's problem, which addresses the finiteness of limit cycles in planar differential equations. Building on a Maximum Modulus-type result we got, our main statement essentially follows. Namely, for any function belonging to these classes, the following dichotomy holds: either it has isolated zeros or it coincides with the identity. As an application, we prove that the non-accumulation of limit cycles holds around a specific class of the so-called superreal polycycles.

Abstract:This note is propaedeutic to the forthcoming work \cite{sil}; here we develop the terminology and results required by that paper. More specifically we introduce the concept of scalarly essentially integrable locally convex vector-valued tensor fields on a smooth manifold, generalize on them the usual operations, in case the manifold is oriented define the weak integral of scalarly essentially integrable locally convex vector-valued maximal forms and finally establish the extension of Stokes theorem for smooth locally convex vector-valued forms. This approach to the basic theory of scalarly essentially integrable and smooth locally convex vector-valued tensor fields seems to us to be new. Specifically are new (1) the definition of the space of scalarly essentially integrable locally convex vector-valued tensor fields as a $\mathcal{A}(U)$-tensor product, although motivated by a result in the usual smooth and real-valued context; (2) the procedure of $\mathcal{A}(U)$-linearizing $\mathcal{A}(U)$-bilinear maps in order to extend the usual operations especially the wedge product; (3) the exploitation of the uniqueness decomposition of the $\mathcal{A}(U)$-tensor product with a free module in order to define not only (a) the exterior differential of smooth locally convex vector-valued forms, but also (b) the weak integral of scalarly essentially integrable locally convex vector-valued maximal forms; (4) the use of the projective topological tensor product theory to define the wedge product.

Abstract:This manuscript concerns with cyclic vectors in the Fock-type spaces of multi-variable cases, with positive parameters and . The one-variable case has been settled by the authors. Here, it is shown that for a positive number , a function f in the Fock-type space is cyclic if and only if f is non-vanishing. However, the case of s being a positive integer turns out to be more complicated. Different techniques and methods are developed in multi-variable cases for a complete characterization of cyclic vectors in for positive integers s .

Abstract:For any integer $k\geq 1,$ define $L_k: \mathbb{R}^\mathbb{N}\to \mathbb{R}^\mathbb{N}$ by $(a_n)_{n\in\mathbb{N}}\mapsto (a'_n)_{n\in\mathbb{N}}$ where $a'_n=\det(a_{n+i+j})_{i,j=0}^{k-1}$. Previously, Zhu showed that $L_k$ preserves the Stieltjes moment (SM) property of sequences (Proc. Am. Math. Soc., 2019). The proof used the characterization of SM sequences in terms of positive semidefinite Hankel matrices. In this note, we give another proof by viewing SM sequences as weighted enumerations of closed walks on $\mathbb{N}$. Our proof is essentially a double-counting argument that views a $k$-tuple of non-crossing Dyck paths as a single closed walk on some bipartite subgraph of $\mathbb{N}^k.$

Abstract:We study the exponential Hilbert series (both coarsely- and finely-graded) of the Stanley-Reisner ring of an abstract simplicial complex, $\Delta$, and we introduce the $e$-vector of $\Delta$, which relates to the coefficients of the exponential Hilbert series. We explore the relationship of the $e$-vector with the classical $f$-vector and $h$-vector of $\Delta$ while simultaneously investigating the geometric information that the $e$-vector encodes about $\Delta$. We then prove a simple combinatorial identity for the $e$-vector in the case where $\Delta$ is an Eulerian manifold.

Abstract:We study vector spaces associated to a family of generalized Euler integrals. Their dimension is given by the Euler characteristic of a very affine variety. Motivated by Feynman integrals from particle physics, this has been investigated using tools from homological algebra and the theory of $D$-modules. We present an overview and uncover new relations between these approaches. We also provide new algorithmic tools.

Abstract:We consider the indefinite Sturm–Liouville differential expression where is defined on a finite or infinite open interval I with and the coefficients r and w are locally summable and such that r ( x ) and are positive a.e. on I . With the differential expression we associate a nonnegative self-adjoint operator A in the Krein space which is viewed as a coupling of symmetric operators in Hilbert spaces related to the intersections of I with the positive and the negative semi-axis. For the operator A we derive conditions in terms of the coefficients w and r for the existence of a Riesz basis consisting of generalized eigenfunctions of A and for the similarity of A to a self-adjoint operator in a Hilbert space . These results are obtained as consequences of abstract results about the regularity of critical points of nonnegative self-adjoint operators in Krein spaces which are couplings of two symmetric operators acting in Hilbert spaces.

Abstract:In this note we establish an expression for the Steklov spectrum of warped products in terms of auxiliary Steklov problems for drift Laplacians with weight induced by the warping factor. As an application, we show that a compact manifold with connected boundary diffeomorphic to a product admits a family of Riemannian metrics which coincide on the boundary, have fixed volume and arbitrarily large first non-zero Steklov eigenvalue. These are the first examples of Riemannian metrics with these properties on three-dimensional manifolds.
