Abstract:Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is a well-established and well-understood technique, widely used for fault diagnosis of a wide range of systems. In this paper. a fault diagnosis system for electric vehicle charging devices is designed and developed based on FTA, in order to accurately locate and quickly solve the fault problems of the charging devices. Firstly, a four-layer structure of the fault diagnosis system framework is constructed concretely, which is made up with client layer, service layer, communication layer and equipment layer. Secondly, the fault tables are set up by analyzing the actual fault of the charging pile and the charging generator. Then, according to the fault tables, we design the fault tree and put forward the flow of fault diagnosis. Finally, the fault diagnosis system is tested in the actual project, which can realize the fast location of the fault and greatly shortened the maintenance time.

Abstract:This paper studies the common troubleshooting and identification process of automobile air conditioning refrigeration systems based on smart sensors. First, it analyzes the automobile air conditioning system through the flexible adjustment of the air humidity, temperature, cleanliness, flow speed and other parameters in the car, which not only strengthens the ride in the car. The environment can also remove or prevent the fog and frost attached to the glass. The automobile air-conditioning refrigeration system has frequent failures. For contemporary people with a faster pace of life, the ability to quickly diagnose and determine the cause of the failure and perform maintenance tests the skills of the auto repair personnel. level.

Model-based Fault Detection and Diagnosis for HVAC.

Abstract:Recently intelligent preventive maintenance is gaining more and more interests for HVAC systems. The key to preventive maintenance is a cost-effective fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) method. This paper presents a model-based FDD method. First, the model of a single zone HVAC system is developed. Based on the model, the characteristics of several faults (cooling coi1 fouling/blockage, re-circulation damper malfunction and supply fan speed decrease) are investigated. Based on computer simulation, it is shown that by analysing the variation of the states of the system, these faults can be detected. Furthermore, a neural network classifier is developed to recognize the faults. This model based fault detection and diagnosis can help to maintain the health of the HVAC systems, improve the indoor thermal comfort level and save energy.

Abstract:A control and signal processing system is designed and implemented for fault detection of cab electric circuit in various types of vehicles.The acquisition,input and processing of analogue and digital signals and the simulation on sensor signals of cab instruments are realized for different detected objects of cab electric circuit respectively.Databases for cab electric circuit and its detecting results are also set up for real time display and subsequent inquiry,including remote inquiry by intranet.The trial operation on cab production line shows that the system functions stable and reliable.

Abstract:As a part of the aircraft air management system,the air-conditioning system is the key controller to keep the cabin warm and comfortable.So the air-conditioning system fault detection and diagnosis is important to keep it in normal working states.At first,analyzed the structure of the air-conditioning system,and then the single-stage loop structure is built,and the mathematical model of each link is obtained as well.The adaptive digital filter method and the 3σ criterion are applied to the fault detection.And based on the adaptive digital filter and the mathematical model,the joint fault diagnosis method is proposed for fault location and fault type judgment.At last,this method is verified by the simulation experiments.And the results demonstrate that the Joint fault diagnosis method can be successfully applied to ffault detection and fault type judgment.

Abstract:Fault diagnosis for air source heat pumps (ASHPs) is essential to maintain system’s operational efficiency and safety. This paper reports a new extension theory-based fault diagnosis method for an ASHP system. An experimental ASHP was set up in environment chambers. Using the experimental ASHP, abnormal operations under five single faults imposed, including compressor valve leakage, reversing valve leakage, condensing airflow faulting, refrigerant liquid line restriction, and refrigerant charge fault, were implemented, and the related fault data obtained. The extension diagnosis method based on the extended correlation function and the matter-element model was then proposed to identify the different fault types. The diagnosis results showed that the proposed fault diagnosis method was able to detect the malfunction types occurring in the experimental ASHP system correctly and promptly.

Abstract:Aiming at various faults in an air conditioning system,the fault characteristics are analyzed.The influence of the faults on the energy consumption and thermal comfort of the system are also discussed.The simulation results show that the measurement faults of the supply air temperature can lead to the increase in energy consumption.According to the fault characteristics,a data-driven method based on a neural network is presented to detect and diagnose the faults of air handling units.First,the historical data are selected to train the neural network so that it can recognize and predict the operation of the system.Then,the faults can be diagnosed by calculating the relative errors denoting the difference between the measuring values and the prediction outputs.Finally,the fault diagnosis strategy using the neural network is validated by using a simulator based on the TRNSYS platform.The results show that the neural network can diagnose different faults of the temperature,the flow rate and the pressure sensors in the air conditioning system.

Abstract:Before developing an automated fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) system, it is important to identify the most important faults to consider. This paper firstly analyzes the common faults of air source heat pump water heater/chiller (ASHPWHC) units in heating mode on the basis of fault tree analysis (FTA). Then the results of the faults survey conducted among the major Chinese ASHPWHC unit users and service technicians are presented in terms of frequency Of Occurrence and relative cost to repair. Base on the analysis and survey, many of the important and difficult to diagnose ASHPWHC unit faults were identified. This will provide firm foundations to invest an automated fault FDD system of ASHPWHC units.

Abstract:Air conditioning is an integral part of a moving train, and when it fails, it will affect passenger satisfaction and electrical safety on the train. By analyzing the principle and failure modes of the air-conditioning system of a certain type of domestic rolling stock, a fuzzy fault tree is constructed in this article, which has the 33 minimum cut sets, for further quantitative analysis. Then, according to the experience of relevant technical personnel and the analysis of air conditioning failure data, the occurrence probabilities of the bottom events are evaluated using the popular triangular fuzzy number. This fault tree can be analyzed quantitatively to find out the probability of the top event and the fuzzy probability importance of the bottom events. Accordingly, we can know the parts of the air-conditioning system of rolling stock that are relatively prone to failure. Through the verification and analysis of real data, it is proved that this is an effective method to locate the weak parts in the air-conditioning system, which can help to identify the possible failure modes and causes, and guide failure diagnosis and prediction of the air-conditioning system, as well as optimize the maintenance program.

Abstract:A wavelet neural network(WNN) fault diagnosis strategy is proposed based on the air-conditioning unit in the common sensor faults.Sensor fault diagnosis system is based on the analysis of the primary failure of air-conditioning unit sensors.By comparing residuals of the sensor's actual measuring data and forecast data,it verifies the ability of fault diagnosis based on WNN.Besides,the residuals ratio in fault diagnosis base on the WNN and BP neural network is analyzed.Simulation shows that the fault diagnosis system based on the WNN has the advantages of simple structure,fast convergence rate,accurate diagnosis,and higher precision.

Abstract:The development of truck crane is rapid, however, due to the constraint of working condition, the fault diagnosis and elimination are difficult. Pertaining to the electrical system of truck crane, the electrical system is analyzed. The electrical system is divided into four parts, including power supply system, startup system, ignition system and the whole-car circuit. The fault phenomenon is sorted and the causes of faults are analyzed. Then the detection and repairing methods of common faults are put forward, thereby save time consumption of maintenance, improve the maintenance efficiency and provide theoretical basis for actual maintaining operation.

Abstract:The timely and effective fault diagnosis method is critical to the operation of the air-conditioning system and energy saving of buildings. In this study, a novel fault diagnosis method was proposed. It is combined with the signal demodulation method and machine learning method. The fault signals are demodulated by the demodulation method based on time-frequency analysis and principal component analysis (DPCA). The modulation characteristics of the principal component and DPCA sets with stronger features are obtained. Compared with time domain sets, the correct rate was increased by 16.38%. Then, as a machine learning method, the Visual Geometry Group—Principal Component Analysis (VGG-PCA) model is proposed in this study. The application potential of this model is discussed by using evaluation indexes of fault diagnosis performance and two typical faults of air conditioning systems. Compared with the other two convolution neural network models, the correct rate was increased by 17.1% and 20.32%, and the running time was reduced by 69.25% and 64.53%, respectively. A large number of tests are used to investigate the optimal range of model parameters. This provides the reference and guarantee for further model optimization.
