Abstract:Single-crystal turbine blades are the core hot-end components of aero engines, typically manufactured by investment casting through directional solidification. The stress generated in the blade during the casting process is one of the crucial factors influencing the quality and service life of the blade. Research into turbine blade stress predominantly relies on finite element method (FEM). However, the directional solidification of blades is a complex thermo-fluid-solid coupled process, making it difficult to establish precise mathematical models, thereby compromising the accuracy and reliability of FEM. This study establishes a digital twin (DT) model of turbine blades based on graph convolutional network, serving as a surrogate model for FEM to simulate the Von Mises stress distribution in turbine blades. By embedding the finite element mesh into a graph, training a predictive model using simulated data, and subsequently fine-tuning the predictive model through message passing between graph vertices based on sensor-measured data. The stress prediction performance of the proposed model was verified through casting experiments. The results indicate that the stress prediction of the fine-tuned DT model compared to X-ray diffraction measurements had a mean absolute error of 10.59 MPa and a mean absolute percentage error of 1.65 %, affirming the proposed method's capability to precisely depict the stress distribution in turbine blades.
