Abstract:In this paper, a new definition of the entropy of functions and α-entropy points (α≥1) will be introduced. These concepts will be used to explore the possibility of internal disruptions (introducing a virus in the phase space) in order to receive an α-chaotic point.

Abstract:In many papers, the concept of chaos is associated with positive topological entropy. The points around which chaos is concentrated are also often examined. In this paper we distinguish places of chaos generation and its realization. Moreover, we will consider the possibility of approximation of continuous function by functions having full entropy point x0 (there is chaos generated by any neighbourhood of it) but simultaneously x0 is not a focal entropy point (chaos is realized at some distance from the considered point).

Abstract:The results of this study are continuation of the research of Poincaré chaos initiated in papers (Akhmet M, Fen MO. Commun Nonlinear Sci Numer Simulat 2016;40:1-5; Akhmet M, Fen MO. Turk J Math, doi:<a class="link-https link-external" data-doi="10.3906/mat-1603-51" href="https://doi.org/10.3906/mat-1603-51" rel="external noopener nofollow">https://doi.org/10.3906/mat-1603-51</a>, accepted). We focus on the construction of an unpredictable function, continuous on the real axis. As auxiliary results, unpredictable orbits for the symbolic dynamics and the logistic map are obtained. By shaping the unpredictable function as well as Poisson function we have performed the first step in the development of the theory of unpredictable solutions for differential and discrete equations. The results are preliminary ones for deep analysis of chaos existence in differential and hybrid systems. Illustrative examples concerning unpredictable solutions of differential equations are provided.

Abstract:In paper [1] unpredictable points were introduced based on Poisson stability, and this gives rise to the existence of chaos in the quasi-minimal set. This time, an unpredictable function is determined as an unpredictable point in the Bebutov dynamical system. The existence of an unpredictable solution and consequently chaos of a quasi-linear system of ordinary differential equations are verified. This is the first time that the description of chaos is initiated from a single function, but not on a collection of them. The results can be easily extended to different types of differential equations. An application of the main theorem for Duffing equations is provided.

Abstract:This work investigates topological chaos for homeomorphisms of the open annulus, introducing a new set of sufficient conditions based on points with distinct rotation numbers and their topological relation to invariant continua. These conditions allow us to formulate classic methods for verifying annular chaos in a finitely verifiable version supported on basic properties of the map. The results pave the way for simple computer-assisted proofs of chaos in a wide range of annular maps, including many well known examples, and we present these proofs for some analytic families, demonstrating the effectiveness of the method. On the theoretical side, one of the consequences of the established conditions permits the proof of a folkloric conjecture about the relation between topological entropy and rotation sets.

Ergodic and chaotic properties of some biological models

Abstract:In this note we present two types of biological models which have interesting ergodic and chaotic properties. The first type are one-dimensional transformations, like a logistic map, which are used to describe the change in population size in successive generations. We study ergodic properties of such transformations using Frobenius--Perron operators. The second type are some structured populations models, for example a space-structured model, or a model of maturity-distribution of precursors of blood cells. These models are described by partial differential equations, which generate semiflows on the space of functions. We construct strong mixing invariant measures for these semiflows using stochastic precesses. From properties of invariant measures we deduce some chaotic properties of semiflows such as the existence of dense trajectories and strong instability of all trajectories.

Abstract:For a continuous or action on a compact space, we introduce the notion of Bohr chaoticity, which is an invariant of topological conjugacy and which is proved stronger than having positive entropy. We prove that all principal algebraic actions of positive entropy are Bohr chaotic. The same is proved for principal algebraic actions of with positive entropy under the condition of existence of summable homoclinic points.

Abstract:This paper has two main objectives. The first is to introduce a notion of entropy that is well suited for the analysis of nonlinear input-output systems that have a Chen-Fliess series representation. The latter is defined in terms of its generating series over a noncommutative alphabet. The idea is to assign an entropy to a generating series as an element of a graded vector space. The second objective is to describe the entropy of generating series originating from interconnected systems of Chen-Fliess series that arise in the context of control theory. It is shown that one set of interconnections can never increase entropy as defined here, while a second set has the potential to do so. The paper concludes with a brief introduction to an entropy ultrametric space and some open questions.

Abstract:This paper presents a new method of generating chaotic maps that do not have fixed points. The method uses an appropriate transformation of functions defined on the unit square in such a way that the newly created projection has no fixed points. In this way, countless new chaotic mappings can be created, both piecewise linear and nonlinear, that belong to the family of systems with hidden attractors. The new family of maps is presented in three examples showing phase diagrams, bifurcation diagrams, and space parameters of the Lyapunov exponent. The discussed examples of mappings were created by appropriate logistic and tent mapping transformations, and their combination. In addition, this paper analyzes the applications of the new families of chaotic mappings in chaotic cryptography. Furthermore, an algorithm for generating pseudorandom bit values (PRBG) is also presented based on the examples of proposed mappings.

We will use local analysis to study the connection between the existence of asymptotic pairs, chaotic sets and stable sets. Examples are given for the case of integer lattice groups, the Heisenberg group, and the groups of integral unipotent upper triangular matrices.

Abstract:First notions of entropy point and uniform entropy point are introduced using Bowen's definition of topological entropy. Some basic properties of the notions are discussed. As an application it is shown that for any topological dynamical system there is a countable closed subset whose Bowen entropy is equal to the entropy of the original system.Then notions of C-entropy point are introduced along the line of entropy tuple both in topological and measure-theoretical settings. It is shown that each C-entropy point is an entropy point, and the set of C-entropy points is the union of sets of C-entropy points for all invariant measures.

If the initial functions are from some weighted space X , then we prove that there exists an invariant mixing measure and X is the topological support of this measure. Abstract:It is an open problem whether a homeomorphism on a compact metric space satisfying that each proper pair is either positively or negatively Li--Yorke, called completely Li--Yorke chaotic, can have positive entropy. In the present paper, an affirmative answer to this question is given. In fact, for each homeomorphism $T$ with positive entropy such that each proper pair is not two-sided asymptotic, a completely Li--Yorke chaotic homeomorphism with positive entropy associated with the given homeomorphism can be constructed.

Abstract:<p>We examine the chaotic behavior of certain continuous linear operators on infinite-dimensional Banach spaces, and provide several equivalent characterizations of when these operators have infinite topological entropy.</p><p>For example, it is shown that infinite topological entropy is equivalent to non-zero topological entropy for translation operators on weighted Lebesgue function spaces. In particular, finite non-zero entropy is impossible for this class of operators, which answers a question raised by Yin and Wei.</p>

Abstract:We consider a process $\{X_t\}_{0\leq t\leq 1}$ in a fixed Wiener chaos $\mathcal{H}_n$. We establish some non-degenerate properties and related results for $\{X_t\}_{0\leq t\leq 1}$. As an application, we show that solution to SDE driven by $\{X_t\}_{0\leq t\leq 1}$ admits a density. Our approach relies on an interplay between Malliavin calculus and analysis on Wiener space.

Abstract:We study the properties of $\Phi$-irregular sets (sets of points for which the Birkhoff average diverges) in dynamical systems with the shadowing property. We estimate the topological entropy of $\Phi$-irregular set in terms of entropy on chain recurrent classes and prove that $\Phi$-irregular sets of full entropy are typical. We also consider $\Phi$-level sets (sets of points whose Birkhoff average is in a specified interval), relating entropy they carry with the entropy of some ergodic measures. Finally, we study the problem of large deviations considering the level sets with respect to reference measures.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that positive conditional entropy implies the existence of asymptotic pairs and scrambled sets on fibers.
