Abstract:In this article, we study new methods for constructing uninorms on bounded lattices. First, we present new methods for constructing uninorms on bounded lattices under the additional constraints and prove that some of these constraints are sufficient and necessary for the uninorms. Second, we show that the additional constraints on $t$-norms ($t$-conorms) and $t$-subnorms ($t$-subconorms) of some uninorms are exactly sufficient and necessary. At last, we give new constructions of uninorms on arbitrary bounded lattices by interation based on $t$-conorms and $t$-conorms.

Abstract:In this paper, we further investigate new construction methods for uninorms on bounded lattices via given uninorms. More specifically, we first construct new uninorms on arbitrary bounded lattices by extending a given uninorm on a subinterval of the lattices under necessary and sufficient conditions on the given uninorm. Moreover, based on the new uninorms, we can give another sufficient and necessary condition under which $S_{1}^{*}$ is a $t$-conorm ($T_{1}^{*}$ is a $t$-norm) in \cite{SS06}. Furthermore, using closure operators (interior operators), we also provide new construction methods for uninorms by extending the given uninorm on a subinterval of a bounded lattice under some additional constraints and simultaneously investigate the additional constraints carefully and systematically. Meanwhile, some illustrative examples for the above construction methods of uninorms on bounded lattices are provided.

Abstract:The construction of uninorms on bounded lattices has been a attractive research area. In this paper, we introduce some new classes of uninorms on bounded lattices via t-subnorms and t-subconorms with a neutral element e under some constraints. We also give some illustrative examples to help understand the structure of these new uninorms. Moreover, we provide an answer to the open problem raised by <a class="workspace-trigger" href="#br0070">[7]</a>. Finally, the differences between our methods and existing approaches are assessed.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the construction methods for uninorms on bounded lattices via functions with the given uninorms and $q\in \mathbb{L_{B}}$ (or $p\in \mathbb{L_{B}}$). Specifically, we investigate the conditions under which these functions can be uninorms on bounded lattices when $q\in (0,\mathfrak{e})\cup I_{\mathfrak{e}}^{\varrho}$ and $q\in I_{\varrho}^{\mathfrak{e}}$ (or $p\in (\mathfrak{e},1)\cup I_{\mathfrak{e}}^{\sigma}$ and $p\in I_{\sigma}^{\mathfrak{e}}$), respectively. Moreover, some illustrative examples and figures are provided.

Abstract:The main purpose of this paper is to solve the problem proposed by Çaylı about uninorms on bounded lattices and build close relationships among uninorms constructed in this paper. Based on the known construction methods and researchers' work, we obtain new uninorms on L with the given t-norm and t-conorm by using closure (interior) operators. The new construction methods provide answers to the problem presented by Çaylı. All classes of uninorms constructed via closure (interior) operators in this paper can be closely connected in a quadruple from the views of the logics of finite observations.

Abstract:This article intends to characterize triangular norms on a finite lattice. We first give a method for generating a triangular norm on an atomistic lattice by the values of atoms. Then we prove that every triangular norm on a non-Boolean atomistic lattice is not left-continuous and $T_M$ is the uniquely left-continuous triangular norm on an atomistic Boolean lattice. Furthermore, we show that each atomistic Boolean lattice can be represented by a family of triangular norms on an atomistic lattice with the same number of atoms. Finally, we construct a triangular norm on a finite lattice by restricting a triangular norm on an extended atomistic lattice of the finite lattice to the finite lattice.

Abstract:The ordinal sum construction provides a very effective way to generate a new triangular norm on the real unit interval from existing ones. One of the most prominent theorems concerning the ordinal sum of triangular norms on the real unit interval states that a triangular norm is continuous if and only if it is uniquely representable as an ordinal sum of continuous Archimedean triangular norms. However, the ordinal sum of triangular norms on subintervals of a bounded lattice is not always a triangular norm (even if only one summand is involved), if one just extends the ordinal sum construction to a bounded lattice in a naïve way. In the present paper, appropriately dealing with those elements that are incomparable with the endpoints of the given subintervals, we propose an alternative definition of ordinal sum of countably many (finite or countably infinite) triangular norms on subintervals of a complete lattice, where the endpoints of the subintervals constitute a chain. The completeness requirement for the lattice is not needed when considering finitely many triangular norms. The newly proposed ordinal sum is shown to be always a triangular norm. Several illustrative examples are given.

In this article, we use commutativity to reduce the complexity in the proof of associativity. Moreover, some methods for constructing uninorms on an arbitrary bounded lattice are introduced. Abstract:This paper mainly focuses on new methods of constructing triangular norms as well as triangular conorms on a bounded lattice. At first, we propose the definition of a partition element and show that the definition is well-defined. Then, we construct a t-norm (t-conorm) on a bounded lattice with the help of an interior (a closure) operator and a given t-subnorm (t-subconorm). For the sake of clarity, we give some interpretive examples of the new methods and show that the conditions restricting the elements are indispensable in the construction process. Moreover, we discuss the relationships among the construction methods proposed in this paper and the methods that already exist. Finally, we generalize the new construction methods to modified ordinal sum methods by iteration.

Abstract:We control the number of critical points of a height function arising from the Nash isometric embedding of a compact Riemanniann-manifoldM. The Ln/2 curvature norm ∥R∥ and a similar scalar ∥R∥ are introduced and their integralR(M) andR(M) overM. We prove thatR(M) is bounded below by a constant depending only onn and the Betti numbers ofM. Thus a new sphere theorem is proved by eliminating allith Betti numbers fori = 1, .…n −1. Abstract:In this paper, we construct uninorms on a bounded trellis based on t-(co)norms on a ∧(∨) -semi-trellis and closure (interior) operators. The key is how to ensure the monotonicity of the constructed binary operation, which is closely related to the neutral element. We propose the uninorms on bounded trellises and study some basic properties. Specially, the neutral element must be middle-transitive if there is a uninorm on a bounded trellis. Based on this, we introduce the construction method according to the left- and middle-transitive neutral element via t-norms, t-superconorms and closure operators on bounded trellises satisfying (CC1). Similarly, we provide the construction method when the neutral element is right- and middle-transitive via t-conorms, t-subnorms and interior operators on bounded trellises satisfying (CC2). Finally, we give two methods of constructing uninorms if the neutral element is middle-transitive and is not in any cycle.

Abstract:The ordinal sum of t-norms on a bounded lattice has been used to construct other t-norms. However, an ordinal sum of binary operations (not necessarily t-norms) defined on the fixed subintervals of a bounded lattice may not be a t-norm. Some necessary and sufficient conditions are presented in this article for ensuring that an ordinal sum on a bounded lattice of two binary operations is, in fact, a t-norm. Abstract:Narain lattices are unimodular lattices {\it in} $\R^{r,s}$, subject to certain natural equivalence relation and rationality condition. The problem of describing and counting these rational equivalence classes of Narain lattices in $\R^{2,2}$ has led to an interesting connection to binary forms and their Gauss products, as shown in [HLOYII]. As a sequel, in this paper, we study arbitrary rational Narain lattices and generalize some of our earlier results. In particular in the case of $\R^{2,2}$, a new interpretation of the Gauss product of binary forms brings new light to a number of related objects -- rank 4 rational Narain lattices, over-lattices, rank 2 primitive sublattices of an abstract rank 4 even unimodular lattice $U^2$, and isomorphisms of discriminant groups of rank 2 lattices.
