On the characterization of the structure of distributive uninorms

Abstract:This paper focuses on distributive uninorms, which induce structures of commutative ordered semirings. We will show that the second uninorm must be locally internal on $A(e)$, and will present a complete characterization of the structure of such uninorms.

Abstract:Recently, Qiao studied the distributive laws of uninorms over overlap functions when the uninorms were one of the usual classes U-min and U-max, the family of representable uninorms or uninorms continuous in (0, 1)(2) and obtained some partially characterizations. This article will continue to consider the characterizations of this kind of distributivity equations when the uninorms lie in the family of uninorms continuous in (0, 1)(2). First of all, we investigate the distributive laws of continuous t-norms over overlap functions and give their full characterizations. Then, we give the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solutions of the distributivity equations when uninorms are continuous in (0, 1)(2).

Abstract:In this paper, we further investigate new construction methods for uninorms on bounded lattices via given uninorms. More specifically, we first construct new uninorms on arbitrary bounded lattices by extending a given uninorm on a subinterval of the lattices under necessary and sufficient conditions on the given uninorm. Moreover, based on the new uninorms, we can give another sufficient and necessary condition under which $S_{1}^{*}$ is a $t$-conorm ($T_{1}^{*}$ is a $t$-norm) in \cite{SS06}. Furthermore, using closure operators (interior operators), we also provide new construction methods for uninorms by extending the given uninorm on a subinterval of a bounded lattice under some additional constraints and simultaneously investigate the additional constraints carefully and systematically. Meanwhile, some illustrative examples for the above construction methods of uninorms on bounded lattices are provided.

Abstract:Recently, some authors studied the distributive laws of continuous t-norms and some families of the common classes of uninorms over overlap and grouping functions in [33], [41], but until now a complete characterization of the distributivity on idempotent uninorms over overlap or grouping functions widely used in image processing is still unresolved. Moreover, authors in [55] characterized the distributivity equations of uni-nullnorms with continuous Archimedean underlying operators over the above two functions. In this paper, we proceed with the distributivity characterization of idempotent uni-nullnorms over them which obviously generalizes the corresponding results of idempotent uninorms over these two functions. During the process, we introduce a class of weak overlap and grouping functions with weak coefficients, and obtain the full characterizations of the above functions by considering the different values of the underlying uninorms' associated functions of idempotent uni-nullnorms on the interval endpoints and comparing the values with the weak coefficients. These obtained results totally answer the question on the distributive solutions of idempotent uninorms over overlap functions, which have been mentioned as their future works in [33]. In additions, we also obtain that overlap and grouping functions have particular structures with a constant domain where its value equals to the neutral element of the idempotent uninorm when they are distributive over idempotent uninorms.

Abstract:In this article, we study new methods for constructing uninorms on bounded lattices. First, we present new methods for constructing uninorms on bounded lattices under the additional constraints and prove that some of these constraints are sufficient and necessary for the uninorms. Second, we show that the additional constraints on $t$-norms ($t$-conorms) and $t$-subnorms ($t$-subconorms) of some uninorms are exactly sufficient and necessary. At last, we give new constructions of uninorms on arbitrary bounded lattices by interation based on $t$-conorms and $t$-conorms.

In this article, we use commutativity to reduce the complexity in the proof of associativity. Moreover, some methods for constructing uninorms on an arbitrary bounded lattice are introduced. These methods generalize some construction methods in the literature.

Abstract:In recent years, there are many works about conditional distributivity for aggregation functions, which is closely related to integration theory and utility theory. In this paper, our main idea is to solve conditional distributivity equations from left and right for semi-t-operators over uninorms. One part focuses on these equations involving semi-t-operators over t-norms and obtains some complete characterizations. The other part gives the necessary and sufficient conditions of conditional distributivity for semi-t-operators over uninorms in U max and U min under the condition 0 < U( x, y) < 1, which transforms it into the conditional distributivity between t-norms and t-conorms (semi-t-norms and t-conorms, semi-t-conorms and t-norms).

When either (i)R is a ring with identity andI and Λ are infinite, or (ii)R is a strong IBN and fully Dedekind-finite ring with identity and eitherI or Λ is finite, in Section 2, the regularity of the Munn ringM(R; I, Λ; P) is characterized; in Section 3, for a completely 0-simple semigroupS =M°(G; I, Λ; P), the regularity ofRS is characterized. Abstract:The main purpose of this paper is to solve the problem proposed by Çaylı about uninorms on bounded lattices and build close relationships among uninorms constructed in this paper. Based on the known construction methods and researchers' work, we obtain new uninorms on L with the given t-norm and t-conorm by using closure (interior) operators. The new construction methods provide answers to the problem presented by Çaylı. All classes of uninorms constructed via closure (interior) operators in this paper can be closely connected in a quadruple from the views of the logics of finite observations.

Abstract:The modularity between aggregation functions is an important property which has close links with both distributivity condition requisite in fuzzy connectives and associative law that is rather useful within fuzzy set theory. Moreover, overlap function and grouping function as two special aggregation functions which need not be associative or have the neutral element are applied to many realms such as image processing, classification. In Zong et al. (Inf Sci 477:506–527, 2018), authors discussed most general classes of 2-uninorms, some of whose structures are not indefinite. And we note that until now all studies on 2-uninorm such as Drygaś and Rak (Fuzy Sets Syst 29:82–97, 2016), Yager and Rybalov (Fuzzy Sets Syst 80:111–120, 1996) were only confined to quite special classes of 2-uninorms mentioned in Akella (Fuzzy Sts Syst 158:1631–1651, 2007), but there are not any relevant research on the general 2-uninorm. The present paper makes an attempt to explore the modularity properties of overlap (grouping) function and all general classes of 2-uninorms. During the process, we get the equivalent conditions and full structures of related aggregation operators on modularity equation, which generalize and extend the existing relevant results.

In this paper, we introduce some new classes of uninorms on bounded lattices via t-subnorms and t-subconorms with a neutral element e under some constraints. We also give some illustrative examples to help understand the structure of these new uninorms. Moreover, we provide an answer to the open problem raised by <a class="workspace-trigger" href="#br0070">[7]</a>. Finally, the differences between our methods and existing approaches are assessed.
