Abstract:In this manuscript, a novel general class of contractions, called Jaggi–Suzuki-type hybrid ( G - α - φ )-contraction, is introduced and some fixed point theorems that cannot be deduced from their akin in metric spaces are proved. The dominance of this family of contractions is that its contractive inequality can be specialized in various manners, depending on multiple parameters. Nontrivial comparative examples are constructed to validate the assumptions of our obtained theorems. Consequently, a number of corollaries that reduce our result to some prominent results in the literature are highlighted and analyzed. Additionally, we examine Ulam-type stability and well-posedness for the new contraction proposed herein. Finally, one of our obtained corollaries is applied to set up unprecedented existence conditions for solution to a class of integral equations. For future aspects of our results, an open problem is noted concerning the discretized population balance model, whose solution may be analyzed using the techniques established herein.

Abstract:We discuss Jachymski's fixed point theorems Jachymski (2008) [4] for contractions defined on a metric space with a directed graph. We use the chain approach studied by Turinici to prove the results without verifying the existence of the initial point in the Picard sequence. The technique we use defines an appropriate metric or a quasi-metric which relaxes the conditions attached to the directed graph. Using this technique, we not only deduce Jachymski's results but obtain new supplement results as well. We also discuss Hutchinson's theorem for a finite family of contractions defined on a directed graph which was recently proved by Gwóźdź-Łukawska and Jachymski (2009) [2].

Abstract:We introduce two new classes of single-valued contractions of polynomial type defined on a metric space. For the first one, called the class of polynomial contractions, we establish two fixed point theorems. Namely, we first consider the case when the mapping is continuous. Next, we weaken the continuity condition. In particular, we recover Banach's fixed point theorem. The second class, called the class of almost polynomial contractions, includes the class of almost contractions introduced by Berinde [Nonlinear Analysis Forum. 9(1) (2004) 43--53]. A fixed point theorem is established for almost polynomial contractions. The obtained result generalizes that derived by Berinde in the above reference. Several examples showing that our generalizations are significant, are provided.

Abstract:In this manuscript, we use the concept of multidimensional fixed point in a generalized space, namely, C -distance space with some nonlinear contraction conditions, such as Jaggi- and Dass-Gupta-type contractions. We provide results with a Jaggi-type hybrid contraction for the mentioned space. Moreover, we use control functions to get the desired results. After each theorem, we compare our results with previous ones to show that they are generalized. We provide examples to support our results. An application is also performed to solve the system of integral equations.

Abstract:It is the purpose of the present paper to obtain certain fixed point outcomes in the sense of $ C^* $-algebra valued metric spaces. Here, we present the definitions of the gauge function, the Bianchini-Grandolfi gauge function, $ \alpha $-admissibility, and $ (\alpha, \beta) $-admissible Geraghty contractive mapping in the sense of $ C^* $-algebra. Using these definitions, we define $ (\alpha, \beta) $-Bianchini-Grandolfi gauge contraction of type I and type II. Next, we prove our primary results that the function satisfying our contraction condition has to have a unique fixed point. We also explain our results using examples. Additionally, we discuss some consequent results that can be easily obtained from our primary outcomes. Finally, there is a useful application to integral calculus.

Abstract:In the present work, we will establish and prove some fixed point theorems for mappings that satisfy a set of conditions in controlled metric type spaces introduced by Mlaiki et al. [N. Mlaiki, H. Aydi, N. Souayah, T. Abdeljawad, Controlled metric type spaces and the related contraction principle. Mathematics 2018, 6,194]. Our technique in constructing our new contraction conditions is to insert the control function $ \theta(u, l) $ that appears on the right hand side of the triangular inequality of the definition of the controlled metric spaces in the right hand side of our proposed contraction conditions. Our results enrich the field of fixed point theory with novel findings that generalize many findings found in the literature. We provide an example to show the usefulness of our results. Also, we present an application to our results to show their significance.

Abstract:In this manuscript, we present a novel concept termed graphical Θc-Kannan contraction within the context of graphically controlled metric-type spaces. Unlike traditional Kannan contraction, this novel concept presents a modified method of contraction mapping. We discuss the significance and the existence of fixed point results within the framework of this novel contraction. To strengthen the credibility of our theoretical remarks, we provide a comparison example demonstrating the efficiency of our suggested framework. Our study not only broadens the theoretical foundations inside graphically controlled metric-type spaces by introducing and examining visual Θc-Kannan contraction, but it also demonstrates the practical significance of our innovations through significant examples. Furthermore, applying our findings to second-order differential equations by constructing integral equations into the domain of Fredholm sheds light on the broader implications of our research in the field of mathematical analysis and contributes to the advancement of this field.

Abstract:In this study, we give a generalization of the well-known Reich fixed point in the setting of general topological spaces with τ-distances. As applications of the obtained result, we prove some fixed point theorems for new contraction types in metric spaces. Moreover, we establish the existence and the uniqueness of solutions for a class of functional equations arising in dynamic programming.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce two multivalued contractive mappings within the framework of Hausdorff controlled metric spaces, employing concepts of admissibility and C ‐class functions. The first mapping is a (β∗,ζ) ‐generalized contractive multivalued mapping, and the second is a (β,W(ζ,ξ)) ‐multivalued mapping. We establish conditions guaranteeing the existence of fixed points for these mappings. To support our theoretical findings, we provide a numerical example, demonstrating the independence of the contractive conditions for the mappings. Furthermore, we apply our results to a specific problem in polynomial equations. These findings complement several existing results in the literature.

Abstract:The article presents a systematic investigation of an extension of the developments concerning $ F $-contraction mappings which were proposed in 2012 by Wardowski. We develop the notion of $ F $-contractions to the case of non-linear ($ F $, $ F_{H} $)-dynamic-iterative scheme for Branciari Ćirić type-contractions and prove multi-valued fixed point results in controlled-metric spaces. An approximation of the dynamic-iterative scheme instead of the conventional Picard sequence is determined. The paper also includes a tangible example and a graphical interpretation that displays the motivation for such investigations. The work is illustrated by providing an application of the proposed non-linear ($ F $, $ F_{H} $)-dynamic-iterative scheme to the Liouville-Caputo fractional derivatives and fractional differential equations.

Abstract:Since the topological properties of a b-metric space (which generalizes the concept of a metric space) seem sometimes counterintuitive due to the fact that the "open" balls may not be open sets, we review some aspects of these spaces concerning compactness, metrizability, continuity and fixed points. After doing so, we introduce new types of contractivities that extend the concept of Banach contraction. We study some of their properties, giving sufficient conditions for the existence of fixed points and common fixed points. Afterwards, we consider some iterative schemes in quasi-normed spaces for the approximation of these critical points, analyzing their convergence and stability. We apply these concepts to the resolution of a model of integral equation of Urysohn type. In the last part of the paper, we refine some results about partial contractivities in the case where the underlying set is a strong b-metric space, and we establish some relations between mutual weak contractions and quasi-contractions and the new type of contractivity.

Abstract:The goal of this study is to describe the class of modified Sehgal–Guseman-like contraction mappings and set up some fixed-point results in S-metric spaces. The class of generalized Sehgal–Guseman-like contraction mappings contains enhancements of Banach contractions, Kannan contractions, Chatterjee contractions, Chatterjee-type contractions, quasi-contractions, Ćirić–Reich–Rus-type contractions, Hardy–Rogers-type contractions, Reich-type contractions, interpolative Kannan contractions, interpolative Chatterjee contractions, among others, with their generalizations in S-metric spaces. We offer significant examples to substantiate the reliability of our results. This study also establishes consequential fixed-point results and applies them to nonlinear fractional differential equations and the boundary value problem for homogeneous transverse bars. At the end of the manuscript, we present an important open problem.

Abstract:The present paper aims to introduce the concept of weak-fuzzy contraction mappings in the graph structure within the context of fuzzy cone metric spaces. We prove some fixed point results endowed with a graph using weak-fuzzy contractions. By relaxing the continuity condition of mappings involved, our results enrich and generalize some well-known results in fixed point theory. With the help of new lemmas, our proofs are straight forward. We furnish the validity of our findings with appropriate examples. This approach is completely new and will be beneficial for the future aspects of the related study. We provide an application of integral equations to illustrate the usability of our theory.

Abstract:The class of O-metric spaces generalize several existing metric-types in literature including metric spaces, b-metric spaces, and ultra metric spaces. In this paper, we discuss the properties of the topology induced by an O-metric and establish in the setting, fixed point theorems of contractions and generalized contractions. The proofs of the theorems rely heavily on polygon O-inequalities which are a natural generalization of the triangle inequality, and the construction of which leads to the notion of O-series following a pattern of functions.
