Abstract:Laboratory Animals, Ahead of Print. Pig skin is commonly used in the medical industry as an injection model due to its compelling physiological affinity to human skin. However, the pig neck skin microflora remains largely uncharacterized, which may have undesirable implications for the translatability of results to humans. This study aimed to characterize pig neck skin microbiome with direct comparison with human skin microflora at emblematic injection sites to appraise its suitability as an injection model. Ten minipigs were sampled with tape strips and swabs and analysed by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry and 16S/ITS high throughput sequencing and confocal laser scanning microscopy. Results were directly compared with previous investigations of human injection sites. Pig skin was dominated by phyla 94.8% Firmicutes, 3% Proteobacteria, and 2.2% Actinobacteria. Staphylococcus spp. prevailed (44.4%) at the genus level with S. capitis and S. chromogenes present in all samples. Pig skin revealed populations in the 104 colony-forming units (CFU)/cm2 range with 3% identified as Gram-negative and increased alpha diversity (compared with 102 CFU/cm2 and 10% in humans). While notable taxonomical differences on species levels were seen, pig skin encompassed 97.1% of genera found in human samples. The increased population and variation found support the pig neck as an imperfect but fidelitous subcutaneous injection model that can adequately challenge devices from a microbial standpoint.

Abstract:Two morphologically different cell types are involved in the production of immunological sensitization against many antigens, namely, macrophages and lymphocytes (e.g., 4, 15, 22, 3). Applying antisera specifically directed against either of these cells may result in a delay or suppression of the primary immunological response. This has been proved to be true for antithymocyte sera (ATS) (e.g., 23, 8, 14, 1). Also, studies on the in vivo action of antimacrophage sera (AMS) revealed prolongation of allogeneic skin graft survival time in rats (17). The present work intends to elucidate morphologically whether or not the apparently similar effect of these antisera (prolongation of skin graft survival time) is caused by a specific action on different target cells (lymphocytes and macrophages) in vivo. Therefore, we studied the morphological alterations in popliteal lymph nodes following local application of either antiserum. The electron microscopic observations presented here are added to recently published light microscopic and enzyme histochemical studies (19, 20).

Cutaneously applied erythromycin base reduces various types of inflammatory reactions in mouse ear

Abstract:Erythromycin base was tested by brushing a solution onto the skin in various models of non-immune and immune inflammation produced in mouse ear, namely inflammations induced by croton oil and cantharidin, primary irritation by picryl chloride, and contact hypersensitivity reactions to oxazolone and picryl chloride. On the non-immune inflammations, erythromycin displayed a greater effect than indomethacin, phenylbutazone or acetylsalicylic acid, though less than that of hydrocortisone acetate. It inhibited the hypersensitivity reactions less well. These results suggest some participation of an anti-inflammatory mechanism in the clinical effectiveness of cutaneously applied erythromycin base in some forms of acne.
Immunological alteration and changes of gut microbiota after dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) administration in mice

Abstract:Ulcerative colitis (UC) is characterized by chronic inflammation of the colonic mucosa. Administration of dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) to animals is a frequently used model to mimic human colitis. Deregulation of the immune response to the enteric microflora or pathogens as well as increased intestinal permeability have been proposed as disease-driving mechanisms. To enlarge the understanding of the pathogenesis, we have studied the effect of DSS on the immune system and gut microbiota in mice. Intestinal inflammation was verified through histological evaluation and myeloperoxidase activity. Immunological changes were assessed by flow cytometry in spleen, Peyer′s patches and mesenteric lymph nodes and through multiplex cytokine profiling. In addition, quantification of the total amount of bacteria on colonic mucosa as well as the total amount of lactobacilli, Akkermansia, Desulfovibrio and Enterobacteriaceae was performed by the use of quantitative PCR. Diversity and community structure were analysed by terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP) patterns, and principal component analysis was utilized on immunological and T-RFLP patterns. DSS-induced colitis show clinical and histological similarities to UC. The composition of the colonic microflora was profoundly changed and correlated with several alterations of the immune system. The results demonstrate a relationship between multiple immunological changes and alterations of the gut microbiota after DSS administration. These data highlight and improve the definition of the immunological basis of the disease and suggest a role for dysregulation of the gut microbiota in the pathogenesis of colitis.

Kinetic Characterization of the Immune Response to Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Subcutaneous Skin Infection

Abstract:Staphylococcus aureus is a leading cause of skin and soft tissue infections (SSTIs). Studies examining the immune response to S. aureus have been conducted, yet our understanding of the kinetic response to S. aureus subcutaneous skin infection remains incomplete. In this study, we used C57BL/6J mice and USA300 S. aureus to examine the host-pathogen interface from 8 h postinfection to 15 days postinfection (dpi), with the following outcomes measured: lesion size, bacterial titers, local cytokine and chemokine levels, phenotype of the responding leukocytes, and histopathology and Gram staining of skin tissue. Lesions were largest at 1 dpi, with peak necrotic tissue areas at 3 dpi, and were largely resolved by 15 dpi. During early infection, bacterial titers were high, neutrophils were the most abundant immune cell type, there was a decrease in most leukocyte populations found in uninfected skin, and many different cytokines were produced. Histopathological analysis demonstrated swift and extensive keratinocyte death and robust and persistent neutrophil infiltration. Gram staining revealed subdermal S. aureus colonization and, later, limited migration into upper skin layers. Interleukin-17A/F (IL-17A/F) was detected only starting at 5 dpi and coincided with an immediate decrease in bacterial numbers in the following days. After 9 days, neutrophils were no longer the most abundant immune cell type present as most other leukocyte subsets returned, and surface wounds resolved coincident with declining bacterial titers. Collectively, these data illustrate a dynamic immune response to S. aureus skin infection and suggest a key role for precisely timed IL-17 production for infection clearance and healthy tissue formation.

Injection of irritants into an air pouch in rats or mice induces an inflammatory response that can be quantified by the volume of exudate produced, the infiltration of cells, and the release of inflammatory mediators. Injection Technique and Pen Needle Design Affect Leakage From Skin After Subcutaneous Injections

Abstract:Background: After a subcutaneous injection fluid might leak out of the skin, commonly referred to as leakage or backflow. The objective was to examine the influence of needle design and injection technique on leakage after injections in the subcutaneous tissue of humans and pigs. Method: Leakage data were obtained from a post hoc analysis of clinical trial data and from a pig study. Data from the clinical study were used to determine leakage as a function of injection volume, speed and region. Data from the pig study were used to determine leakage as a function of needle wall thickness, needle taper, injection angle, and wait time from end of injection to withdrawal of needle from skin. Results: Leakage volume was positively related to injection volume. Injections in the abdomen caused less leakage than thigh injections. A 32G needle caused less leakage than a 31G and a 32G tip (tapered) needle, and a “straight in” 90° needle insertion angle caused less leakage than an angled (~45°) insertion. Wait times of minimum 3 seconds caused less leakage than immediate withdrawal of the needle after injection. Needle wall thickness and injection speed did not influence leakage. Conclusions: Leakage will be minimized using a thin needle, using 90° needle insertion in the abdomen, injecting maximum 800 μL at a time, and waiting at least 3 seconds after the injection until the needle is withdrawn from the skin.
Systemic dissemination and cutaneous damage in a mouse model of staphylococcal skin infections

Abstract:Serious staphylococcal infections frequently begin in the skin. The present study used a mouse model of such infections to evaluate the ability of Staphylococcus aureus to disseminate from the skin and to determine if cutaneous damage from the infections was required for dissemination. The mice were inoculated with S. aureus onto flank skin prepared by a tape-stripping method that caused minimal disruption of the epidermal keratinocyte layers. After these inoculations the staphylococci were found to disseminate to the spleen and kidneys of almost all animals within 6h. Induction of leucopenia did not affect this process. Cutaneous damage was prominent in these experimental infections and included loss of the epidermis, neutrophil infiltration into the epidermis, and complete necrosis of the dermis. The latter also occurred in cyclophosphamide-treated animals, indicating that the organisms themselves and not the host inflammatory responses were responsible. Dermal necrosis did not develop until 48h after inoculation, a time by which dissemination had already occurred. Therefore, in this mouse model system S. aureus is capable of penetrating the epidermal keratinocyte layers and disseminating rapidly after inoculation; the experimental infections do produce significant dermal damage, but the latter develops after dissemination has already taken place.

Abstract:Standard experimental set-ups for the assessment of skin penetration are typically performed on skin explants with an intact skin barrier or after a partial mechanical or chemical perturbation of the stratum corneum, but they do not take into account biochemical changes. Among the various pathological alterations in inflamed skin, aberrant serine protease (SP) activity directly affects the biochemical environment in the superficial compartments, which interact with topically applied formulations. It further impacts the skin barrier structure and is a key regulator of inflammatory mediators. Herein, we used short-term cultures of ex vivo human skin treated with trypsin and plasmin as inflammatory stimuli to assess the penetration and biological effects of the anti-inflammatory drug dexamethasone (DXM), encapsulated in core multishell-nanocarriers (CMS-NC), when compared to a standard cream formulation. Despite a high interindividual variability, the combined pretreatment of the skin resulted in an average 2.5-fold increase of the transepidermal water loss and swelling of the epidermis, as assessed by optical coherence tomography, as well as in a moderate increase of a broad spectrum of proinflammatory mediators of clinical relevance. The topical application of DXM-loaded CMS-NC or DXM standard cream revealed an increased penetration into SP-treated skin when compared to untreated control skin with an intact barrier. Both formulations, however, delivered sufficient amounts of DXM to effectively suppress the production of interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-8 (IL-8) and Thymic Stromal Lymphopoietin (TSLP). In conclusion, we suggest that the herein presented ex vivo inflammatory skin model is functional and could improve the selection of promising drug delivery strategies for anti-inflammatory compounds at early stages of development.

Abstract:Dissolving microneedles (MNs) is a promising alternative way to traditional subcutaneous injection delivery of insulin. At present, there are numerous soluble materials have been used to fabricate dissolving MNs for insulin delivery. However, during insulin delivery of dissolving MNs, the effect of the MNs to the skin and the safety of the matrix material remained in the skin should be seriously considered, especially for the diabetes who need frequent and long-term self-administration of insulin. In this work, we investigated the long-term effects of hyaluronic acid (HA) MNs on mice after daily insertion in a period of 3 months. The general conditions, hematology and blood biochemistry of mice were examined at different time. The main organs of the mice administrated by the HA MNs were dissected at 90 days, and the organ coefficients and histological evaluation were measured and recorded. The results showed that there was no erythema and inflammation happened on the skin at the HA MNs insertion sites and no significant histopathological abnormalities were observed in the treated mice compared with the control mice in 90 days.

Abstract:Scabiosa artropurperea var.maritima is a plant widely distributed in the Mediterranean region and used as a traditional medicine. The present study evaluated the biochemical composition and the potential toxicity of aqueous extract of whole Scabiosa artropurperea var.maritima through acute toxicity oral administration in male mice. Phytochemical analysis of the Scabiosa artropurperea var.maritima revealed high levels of reductor sugars and significant flavonoid and total phenol content. The aqueous extract of Scabiosa artropurperea var.maritima was daily oral administered to mice at doses of 300 (group 1), 2000 (group 2) and 4000 (group 3) mg/kg body weight per day for 14 days. We observed no significant difference in the consumption of food, body weight and relative organ weights except for an increase in the seminal vesicles weight in group 3. Hematological parameters revealed the non-adverse effects of prolonged oral consumption of Scabiosa artropurperea var.maritima except for a slight increase but significant of percentage of hematocrit in group 1 and 3 and a decrease in percentage of granulocytes in group 2. The histopathologic examination did not show any differences in vital organs. We also observed non-adverse effects on the reproductive parameters including testosterone concentration, spermatozoa motility and morphologies. Based on our findings, the aqueous extract of Scabiosa artropurperea var.maritima could be considered safe for oral medication in animals.

Establishment of Sj(o)gren's syndrome models by immunization with α-Fodrin: experiment with mice

Abstract:Objective To explore the possibility to establish Sjogren's syndrome models by immunizing mice with α-fodrin. Methods Twenty-four 4-week-old BALB/C mice were randomly divided into 4 equal groups to undergo subcutaneous injection of α-Fodrin, submaxillary gland homogenate and glutathione S-transferase (GST) or phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) ( negative control groups) on days 0, 14, 35, and 56 respectively. The drinking amount of water was measured. Blood samples were collected every 2-3 weeks. Munofluorescence assays and ELISA were used to examine the presence of anti-Fodrin, anti-type 3 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor polypeptide (M3RP), anti-SSA, anti-SSB, rheumatoid factor (RF), and antinuclear antibody (ANA). Immunochemistry was used to detect the levels of interferon (IFN)-γ , interleukin (IL)-2, and IL-10. One mouse was killed from each group every 2-3 weeks. The salivary glands were examined. Results (1) No auto-immune antibody was found in the serum samples of the mice before immunization. Antibodies against α-Fodrin and M2RP, and ANA were positive in the serum samples of the α-Fodrin and submaxillary gland homogenate groups since the 35th day after immunization, and were all negative in the 2 control groups. However, no antibodies against SSA, SSB and RF were found in all 4 groups. (2) Lymphocytic infiltration could be seen in the salivary glands of the immunized animals since 50th days after the first immunization of α-Fodrin and submaxillary gland homogenate. Immunohistochemistry showed α-Fodrin expression in the submaxillary glands of the α-Fodfin and submaxillary gland homogenate groups, but not in the PBS and GST controls. (3) The serum IFN-α levels of the α-Fodrin and submaxillary gland homogenate groups were ( 81.6±7.1 ) and ( 90.5±4.9 ) pg/ml respectively, both significantly higher than those of the GST and PBS groups [ ( 30.1±5.9) and (19.3± 6.4) pg/ml respectively, both P< 0.05 ]. The serum IL-2 levels of the α-Fodrin and submaxillary gland homogenate groups were ( 18.7±2.3 ) and ( 19.8±0.9) pg/ml respectively, both significantly higher than those of the GST and PBS groups [ (4.9±1.1 ) and (3.5±1.6) pg/ml respectively, both P< 0.05]. No difference was found in the level of serum IL-10 among the 4 groups. (4) There was no significant difference in the volume of water volume drunk among the 4 groups. Conclusion (1) It is possible to establish mouse mice SS models by immunization with α-Fodrin or submaxillary gland homogenate that are reminiscent of human SS. (2) The appearance of multiple antibodies may be related to the antigen epitope spreading. (3) The pathogenesis of SS may be related to Thl type response.
Mechanisms of the inflammatory response induced by extracts of Schistosoma mansoni larvae in guinea pig skin.

Abstract:Abstract Penetration of skin by cercariae of Schistosoma mansoni is associated with a local inflammatory response characterised by leukocyte accumulation and tissue swelling. The significance of the inflammation and its relevance to infection of the host is unknown. In this study, we have investigated the mechanisms of the local inflammatory response induced by injecting extracts of Schistosoma mansoni cercariae into guinea pig skin. Intradermal injection of cercarial homogenate or cercarial transformation fluid induced a dose-dependent increase in local edema formation and accumulation of intravenously injected 111In-labeled eosinophils and neutrophils. The responses were rapid in onset and independent of new protein synthesis. The capacity of extracts to induce edema formation and leukocyte accumulation correlated significantly with their proteolytic activity. In addition, extract-induced inflammation was reduced by co-injection with Trasylol, soybean trypsin inhibitor, PMSF, or heparin. A combination of PMSF and heparin virtually abolished extract-induced inflammation. The known inhibitory effect of Trasylol on kallikrein prompted an investigation into the role of kinins in inducing local edema formation. The bradykinin antagonist HOE 140 substantially reduced extract-induced edema whereas bradykinin itself was weak at inducing leukocyte accumulation. The cyclooxygenase inhibitor ibuprofen, the platelet-activating factor antagonist WEB 2086, and the 5-lipoxygenase inhibitor PF5901 had no effect on edema formation. In contrast, extract-induced eosinophil accumulation was reduced by WEB 2086 and PF5901, suggesting that endogenous PAF and leukotriene B4 were involved in recruiting these cells to inflammatory sites. Thus, cercarial proteases induce a local inflammatory response in guinea pig skin that can be attributed, in part, to known mediators of inflammation. It remains to be established whether the response is protective for the host or whether it is beneficial for the parasite. Further understanding of the underlying mechanisms may provide a target for the pharmacologic control of infection in schistosomiasis.

Abstract:Calpain-mediated proteolysis regulates cytoskeletal dynamics and is altered during aging and the progression of numerous diseases or pathological conditions. Although several cytoskeletal proteins have been identified as substrates, how localized calpain activity is regulated and the mechanisms controlling substrate recognition are not clear. In this study, we report that phosphoinositide binding regulates the susceptibility of the cytoskeletal adhesion protein α-actinin to proteolysis by calpains 1 and 2. At first, α-actinin did not appear to be a substrate for calpain 2; however, phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PtdIns(3,4,5)P3) binding to α-actinin resulted in nearly complete proteolysis of the full-length protein, producing stable breakdown products. Calpain 1 was able to cleave α-actinin in the absence of phosphoinositide binding; however, PtdIns(3,4,5)P3 binding increased the rate of proteolysis, and phosphatidylinositol 4,5-diphosphate (PtdIns(4,5)P2) binding significantly inhibited cleavage. Phosphoinositide binding appeared to regulate calpain proteolysis of α-actinin by modulating the exposure of a highly sensitive cleavage site within the calponin homology 2 domain. In U87MG glioblastoma cells, which contain elevated levels of PtdIns(3,4,5)P3, α-actinin colocalized with calpain within dynamic actin cytoskeletal structures. Furthermore, proteolysis of α-actinin producing stable breakdown products was observed in U87MG cells treated with calcium ionophore to activate the calcium-dependent calpains. Additional evidence of PtdIns(3,4,5)P3-mediated calpain proteolysis of α-actinin was observed in rat embryonic fibroblasts. These results suggest that PtdIns(3,4,5)P3 binding is a critical determinant for α-actinin proteolysis by calpain. In conclusion, phosphoinositide binding to the substrate is a potential mechanism for regulating susceptibility to proteolysis by calpain.

Abstract:This study demonstrated that AH Plus Jet triggered a milder inflammatory tissue response than BioRootTM RCS (BR) when implanted into the mice subcutaneous tissue after 7 and 21 days, but not after 63 days. Furthermore, only BR triggered the precipitation of calcium compounds in the reactionary tissue. To evaluate the inflammatory tissue response to BioRootTM RCS (BR) and AH Plus Jet (AHPJ) sealers implanted in mice subcutaneous tissue. It was hypothesized that the inflammatory tissue response to BR would be milder than to AHPJ. An in vivo study was carried out using isogenic mice. The sealers were implanted during standardized surgical procedures. The inflammatory response was evaluated by microscopic analysis and von Kossa reaction in the reactionary tissue around the specimens after 7, 21, and 63 days. For comparisons, a zinc oxide and eugenol sealer (ZOE) was used as a positive control, in addition to a negative control without a sealer (n = 10 per group/period). All statistical analyses considered a significance level of 5%. All endodontic sealers triggered an inflammatory tissue response after 7 days. Assessment of dermal sensitization by nickel salts in a novel humanized TLR-4 mouse model

Abstract:The fundamental goal of this study was to determine the potential utility of a novel humanized Toll-like receptor-4 (hTLR-4) mouse model for future in vivo studies of nickel allergy. First, mice of both sexes and hTLR-4 expression profiles were incorporated into a Local Lymph Node Assay (LLNA) to assess skin sensitization. Next, a set of hTLR-4 hTLR-4-positive mice (female and male groups) was similarly exposed to vehicle control (VC) or 10% NiSO 4 on Days 1, 2, and 3. Mice were euthanized on Day 10, lymph node (LN) cellularity was assessed, LN and spleen cells were phenotyped, and serum was collected to quantify circulating cytokine and IgE levels. In the LLNA, hTLR-4-positive mice of both sexes exhibited enhanced responsivity to nickel. NiSO 4 (10%) had a stimulation index (SI) of 3.7 (females) and 3.8 (males) in hTLR-4-positive animals, and an SI of 0.5 (females) and 0.8 (males) in hTLR-4 hTLR-4-negative mice. In the 10d study, hTLR-4-positive mice exposed to 10% NiSO 4 exhibited increased LN cellularity (6.0× increase in females, 3.2× in males) and significantly higher concentrations of circulating IgE (4.1× increase in females, 3.4× in males). Significant increases in serum interferon (IFN)-γ, interleukin (IL)-4, and IL-5 levels were seen in female mice, while altered concentrations of IL-4 and IL-10 were detected in male mice. The results of this study ultimately demonstrate that murine expression of hTLR-4 confers enhanced susceptibility to dermal sensitization by nickel, and consequently, the hTLR-4 mouse model represents a viable approach for future studies of nickel allergy in vivo .

Abstract:Sepsis is caused by dysregulated host inflammatory response to infection. During sepsis, early identification and monitoring of vascular leakage are pivotal for improved diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. However, there is a lack of research on noninvasive observation of inflammation-related vascular leakage. Here, we investigate the use of photoacoustic microscopy (PAM) for in vivo visualization of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced ear vascular leakage in mice using Evans blue (EB) as an indicator. A model combining needle pricking on the mouse ear, topical smearing of LPS on the mouse ear, and intravenous tail injection of EB is developed. Topical application of LPS is expected to induce local vascular leakage in skin. Inflammatory response is first validated by ex vivo histology and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Then, local ear vascular leakage is confirmed by ex vivo measurement of swelling, thickening, and EB leakage. Finally, PAM for in vivo identification and evaluation of early vascular leakage using the model is demonstrated. For PAM, common excitation wavelength of 532 nm is used, and an algorithm is developed to extract quantitative metrics for EB leakage. The results show potential of PAM for noninvasive longitudinal monitoring of peripheral skin vascular leakage, which holds promise for clinical sepsis diagnosis and management.

Abstract:Background Skin 16S microbiome diversity analysis indicates that the Staphylococcus genus, especially Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), plays a crucial role in the inflammatory lesions of acne. However, current animal models for acne do not fully replicate human diseases, especially pustular acne, which limits the development of anti‐acne medications. Aims The aim is to develop a mouse model for acne, establishing an animal model that more closely mimics the clinical presentation of pustular acne. This will provide a new research platform for screening anti‐acne drugs and evaluating the efficacy of clinical anti‐acne experimental treatments. Methods Building upon the existing combination of acne‐associated Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes) with artificial sebum, we will inject a mixture of S. aureus and C. acnes locally into the dermis in a 3:7 ratio. Results We found that the acne animal model with mixed bacterial infection better replicates the dynamic evolution process of human pustular acne. Compared to the infection with C. acnes alone, mixed bacterial infection resulted in pustules with a distinct yellowish appearance, resembling pustular acne morphology. The lesions exhibited redness, vascular dilation, and noticeable congestion, along with evident infiltration of inflammatory cells. This induced higher levels of inflammation, as indicated by a significant increase in the secretion of inflammatory factors such as IL‐1β and TNF‐α. Conclusion This model can reflect the clinical symptoms and development of human pustular acne, overcoming the limitations of animal models commonly used in basic research to study this situation. It provides support for foundational research and the development of new acne medications.

Inhibition of three novel Radix Scutellariae extracts on immediate hypersensitivity

Abstract:Background: Radix Scutellariae, a few papers reported its pharmacology activities including alleviate small intestines smooth muscles spasm, sedation, antihypertensive effect. However, the inhibition of its different organic extracts on immediate hypersensitivity has not bee researched. Materials and methods: To investigate the anti-immediate hypersensitivity of three extracts including ethanol extracts, acetone extracts, ethyl acetate extracts from Radix Scutellariae, four pharmacological screening model were chose, such as 4-Aminopyridine induced pruritus model, histamine-induced mouse paw edema model, PCA(passive cutaneous anaphylaxis) in ear of mouse, activie cutaneous anaphylaxismouse (mouse ear edema test), furthermore, total IgE level in the sensitized mice serum was evaluated deeply. Results: Ethanol group at 1.42 g/kg and 0.71 g/kg could greatly decrease the licking number to 1.2 and 12.7 respectively; also keep mice paw swelling at 0.29 ml and 0.51 ml at 15 min after injection of histamine. Both ear passive cutaneous allergic reaction and active cutaneous anaphylaxis-ear swelling test demonstrated that ethanol group exhibit great inhibition on immediate hypersensitivity.Low IgE level was found in ethanol group, but high in other two groups. Conclusion: The ethanol extracts exhibits obvious strong inhibition, however, the acetone ones and ethyl acetate showed a little.
