Abstract:Abnormal hips, arising from a clinical universal neonatal hip screening programme, were referred to a specialist paediatric orthopaedic surgeon for ultrasound (US) assessment. Two different methods of US screening were undertaken in consecutive years: (a) Clinically abnormal hips were assessed for dynamic stability without formal assessment of dysplasia; and (b) Morphologic and dynamic assessment was undertaken in clinically abnormal and "at risk" hips. US has been reported as an accurate method for initial diagnosis of instability of the hip joint. The incidence of late congenital dislocation of the hip (CDH) was not reduced by extending the US programme to include "at risk groups" and morphologic assessment of the hips. Morphologic assessment of the hip alone cannot be recommended as a secondary screening programme for the diagnosis of hip dislocation. However, it may be of value in evaluation of persistent dysplasia and its relationship with dislocation. Targeted screening programmes may reduce the rate of late CDH requiring operative procedures; further trials of US are necessary.
Socio-demographic determinants as predictors of oral hygiene status and gingivitis in schoolchildren aged 7-12 years old: A cross-sectional study

Abstract:OBJECTIVE: Gingivitis and poor oral hygiene status are the most prevalent oral diseases among primary school students. Poor oral hygiene status, gingivitis and socio-demographic determinants have been shown to be associated with periodontal diseases. There is limited information on the gingivitis and oral hygiene status among Iranian children. In the present study, the status of gingivitis, oral hygiene status, and their association with socio-demographic determinants among schoolchildren aged 7-12 years old in Hamadan were investigated.METHODS: In this cross-sectional study, 988 primary school students aged 7-12 years old were selected. The oral hygiene status was measured through Simplified Oral Hygiene Index (OHI-S) and Community Periodontal Index (CPI) was used to evaluate gingival bleeding and calculus. CPI was measured using a standardized protocol to investigate gum bleeding and calculus. The oral hygiene was classified as good, fair or poor based on calculus and debris measurements. Age, gender, educational level, occupation and residence district of parents, dental pain experience in the last year and whether parents supervised their children while brushing were assessed by the questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and logistic regression analysis.RESULTS: The oral hygiene status was good in 644 students (65.20%), fair in 341 (34.50%) and poor in three (0.30%). Moreover, the results of CPI depicted that 639 students (64.07%) had healthy periodontium, 320 (32.40%) had periodontal bleeding and 29 (2.9%) were with calculus. Higher percentage of the boys in the age group of 12 years old had periodontal bleeding and fewer good oral hygiene. The results of CPI and OHI-S scores depicted that more than half of the primary school students had healthy gums and periodontium (64.1%) and good oral hygiene status (65.2%). There were significant statistical associations between age and residence district with calculus measured by the CPI, also between gender, age, residence district, and mother's occupation with the gingival bleeding measured by the CPI. Furthermore, age and mother's occupation were significantly associated with OHI-S index.CONCLUSIONS: In general, the periodontal health status is poorer in students attending suburban schools compared to those in urban schools in Hamadan. Since there are significant associations between gender, school districts and mother's occupation with oral hygiene index among schoolchildren in primary schools, considering them in schools' oral health program design might be useful.

Abstract:A new class of fractional Smith predictors is proposed in this paper, associating Internal Model Control for the design of time delay controllers to the CRONE template in order to improve robustness to static gain variations. Numerical simulations illustrate intrinsic and structural robust performances of the fractional PI and PID predictors. Comparisons of the two controllers show that the Smith PID presents the greatest ability to reject gain variations and system structure uncertainty.

Abstract:Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify the prevalence of parafunctional oral habits among schoolchildren aged 6 to 12 years in Alexandria, Egypt. Materials and methods: A total of 255 Egyptian children, consisting of 158 males and 94 females were randomly examined. The examination included 1-Tongue thrusting: masseteric palpation 2-Thumb sucking: finger examination and intra-oral examination. 3-Mouth breathing: a. medical history. b. Mirror test (fog test) c. Jwemen’s Butterfly test. d. Water Holding Test (Masslers test). 4-Nail biting: fingers, nails examination and intraoral examination. Questionnaires were handed out to the parents to obtain information about the child’s gender, age, medical and dental history and any noticeable oral habits and collected a week later. Data was collected, sorted and registered. The subjects were assigned to different groups according to the habit. Percentile distribution of the subjects was calculated for different habit and their relation to each other, Categorical variables were analyzed using the chi-square test and Student t-test. Significance of the obtained results was judged at the 5% level (P ≤ 0.05). Results: the majority of subjects shows with 41.07% of the subjects had nail biting followed by tongue thrust with 29.4% then mouth breathing with 15.9% and the least prevalent oral habit was thumb sucking with 14.73%. 32.1% of the subjects had no habits at all and 67.9% had at least one habit. conclusion: Nail biting was the most dominant oral habit and the least common was thumb sucking, no patients were found practicing more than 3 habits.

Abstract:When technical methods were developed for the assay of the coagulant activity of antihemophilic factor (factor VIII), optimism arose that these methods would allow detection of the carrier state for classic hemophilia. Unfortunately, the wide range of values in both normal women and in known carriers made this expectation fail. In all, in only about one-fourth of carriers was the titer of functional antihemophilic factor significantly below that of normal In 1970, Bennett reported that she was able to detect the carrier state in two women by a radically new method. She compared the concentration of functional antihemophilic factor, as determined in a clotting assay, with that of antigenic material, measured in an immunologic test. In these two women, plasma contained an abnormal excess of antigenic material related to antihemophilic factor, relative to the functional titer of this substance. Zimmerman and colleagues,? quite independently, used similar logic to devise a test for the carrier state, employing Laurell's technique of semiquantitative immunoelectrophoresis. It seems time to present a summary of the data obtained in our laboratory up to the present moment. We have now examined 68 patients with classic hemophilia, all of whom had a gross excess of antigenic material relative to procoagulant activity. Among 64 certain carriers, all but five were found to have excessive antihemophilic factorlike antigenic material in plasma, distinguishing 92% of them from normal women at the 99% level of confidence. If we choose the 95% level of confidence, all but one of the 64, or 98%, are identified as carriers, but at this level, two of 77 supposedly normal women would have been called carriers. We have also tested 28 women who had a single hemophilic son and no other known relatives with the disease. Of these 28 women, 17, or 61%, tested as carriers. One of those who was normal in our test had a daughter who seemed to be acarrier, and three would have been positive if we had chosen the 95% confidence limit as a criterion. Abstract:Purpose: Practicing oral habits beyond the normal age range is assumed to be due to underlying psychological disturbance and could result in a deformation of the orofacial structure. The first step in managing such a health condition is to evaluate its size. Thus, this study aimed primarily to assess the prevalence of oral habits among a group of school children aged from 5 to 7 years, in Cairo, Egypt. The secondary aim of the study was to investigate some possible related predictors along with the mother's perception of the child's oral health-related quality of life. Methods: A Google form questionnaire was designed, utilizing the third domain of Nordic Orofacial Test-Screen (NOT-S), to assess the presence or absence of oral habits and their types, if reported. Also, there were two global rating items to test the child's oral health-related quality of life from the mother's prospection, along with one item to inquire if the mother thinks that the oral habits are harmful to the child. A total number of 23 schools in Cairo, Egypt were randomly selected, and the link to the Google form was distributed through the parent's groups on social media. All high-quality complete responses were analyzed using the SPSS program, and a Log-binomial regression model was constructed, to determine the significant predictors of practicing oral habits in children. Results: Among the analyzed 1128 responses, the total number of answers to the third domain of interview part of NOT-S was 1235, with a response rate of (60.39%), no habits were reported in 635 children (51.4%), while nail biting was noted in 21.8%, bruxism in 17.9% and Sucking habits in 8.9%. In total, 63.8% of children who were reported by their parents to be the "only child" didn't practice any habit, and a higher prevalence of oral habits was detected in children with siblings. There was no detectable association between the mother's educational level and practicing any of the habits, although there was an association between the mother's educational level and their awareness of the harmful effect of oral habits on the child. The mothers' answers to the global rating items were not associated with any of the oral habits. Conclusion: The most prevalent oral habit in the current study was the nail-biting habit. The presence of other siblings and the number of siblings were contributory factors in the occurrence of oral habits, while mothers' educational level was not associated with practicing oral habits. The mothers' awareness of the harmful effect of oral habits on the children was not satisfactory, and there was no association between oral health-related quality of life and the children's oral habits, from the mothers' perspective.

Abstract:Objective To explore the presence and severity of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) signs and symptoms in a Turkish pediatric population, as well as their relationship to parafunctional behaviors, bruxism, malocclusion, anxiety, and sociodemographic traits. Methods A cross‐sectional study was conducted with patients between the ages of 5–15. Demographic variables, TMD signs and symptoms, parafunctional habits, bruxism, and malocclusion were evaluated by clinical examination. Fonseca Anamnestic Index (FAI) was used to determine the presence and severity of TMD. State‐Trait Anxiety Scale for Children (STAI‐C) was used to evaluate the anxiety. Student t, Mann–Whitney U, chi‐square tests, and logistic regression were used for statistical analysis. Results One hundred sixty‐two participants (85 girls, 77 boys) with a mean age of 10.03 ± 1.88 years were included. The frequency of the participants who reported signs/symptoms of TMD was 19.7% according to FAI scores. Logistic regression analysis with the associated factors showed a significant relationship between the presence of the signs/symptoms of TMD and parafunctional habits (OR 4.24, 95% CI 1.64–10.93), and the presence of signs/symptoms of anxiety (OR 1.09, 95% CI 1.02–1.16). Conclusions Children and adolescents who exhibit parafunctional behaviors and anxiety had a higher likelihood of having TMD signs/symptoms of varying degrees of severity.

The Role of Malocclusion and Oral Parafunctions in Predicting Signs and Symptoms of Temporomandibular Disorders-A Cross-Sectional Study

Abstract:Background: The aim of this study was to examine to what extent malocclusion and parafunctional habits contribute to the development of signs and symptoms associated with temporomandibular disorders (TMD) in schoolchildren with mixed dentition in Croatia in a sample of 338 children, aged 9 to 15 years. Methods: TMD signs and symptoms assessed by the clinician were joint function and pain, masticatory muscles tenderness, range of mandibular motion, and joint sounds. To evaluate subjective symptoms and parafunctions, children and parents were asked about the presence of headaches, jaw locking, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) sounds, pain during mouth opening, or bruxism, as well as parafunctions like biting pencils or nails, chewing hard candies or ice, daily gum chewing, opening bottles with teeth, engaging in jaw play, thumb-sucking, and clenching/grinding teeth. Results: At least one symptom of a TMD was pronounced in 142 participants (42.0%). The most commonly reported parafunction was pencil or nail biting, present in 25.1% of participants. Class II malocclusion increased the likelihood by 2.6 times, pencil or nail biting by 2.34 times, and clenching/grinding teeth by 8.9 times that the subject would exhibit at least one TMD symptom. Conclusions: Every child with mixed dentition should undergo a brief examination of the TMJ, especially in cases of Class II malocclusion, pencil or nail biting, and teeth clenching or grinding, as these have all been identified as significant risk factors that increase the likelihood of experiencing TMD symptoms. This highlights the need for proactive screening and assessment by healthcare providers to reduce the risk and prevalence of TMDs in affected children and ensure timely diagnosis and treatment.
Parasitic effect considerations in modeling of CI-BDC converter and its voltage controller

Abstract:This paper emphasize on the investigation of smallsignal behavior of a Coupled Inductor Bidirectional DC-DC (CI-BDC) converter being controlled by a Voltage Mode Control (VMC) technique. The small-signal model including converter parasitics is derived using the SS averaging technique. This linearised converter modeling makes the design of closed loop controller much easier. The closed loop model has also been developed and simulated using SIMULINK/MATLAB software. The parasitic effects on stability and closed loop regulation have been made extensively. Simulation results of closed loop controlled CI-BDC converter show the good regulation and stability over wide range of load variations. The analyses show that the proper consideration of parasitics is also a very important for controller design.
Oral Habits in Childhood and Occlusal Pathologies: A Cohort Study

Abstract:Purpose: To analyse the relationship between the different habits that occur in childhood and the different malocclusions in the three planes of space. Material and methods: A clinical examination of 106 children between 5 and 12 years of age was carried out and a survey validated by professors of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Seville was made for the parents in order to identify the habits and relate them to the possible malocclusions detected in the child's mouth. Results: 72.64% of the sample presented a malocclusion in at least one of the three planes of space, with a similar distribution. When correlating the variables, statistically significant relationships were observed in the vertical plane with atypical swallowing (p = 0 < 0.05; V > 0.3) and lip sucking (p = 0 < 0.05; V > 0.3) and in the horizontal plane with oral breathing (p = 0 < 0.05; V > 0.3), atypical swallowing (p = 0 < 0.05; V < 0.3) and digital sucking (p = 0 < 0.05; V < 0.3). Conclusions: It has been observed that the prevalence and prolongation of habits in childhood is increasing, so it is essential to detect pernicious habits at an early age to prevent the establishment of malocclusions and to favour the correct craniofacial growth of the child.

Abstract:Parent-targeted oral health awareness campaigns should place a strong emphasis on issues like the value of deciduous teeth and how to treat them, frequent dental checkups, and dietary habits. The current study's objective is to evaluate parents' knowledge, behaviors, and attitudes regarding their children's oral health and how those factors affect the prevalence of dental caries in 5- to 10-year-old children in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Parents of school-aged children aged 5 to 10 who came to our hospital were the subjects of a cross-sectional questionnaire survey. The study included 209 children in all, together with their parents. Utilizing DMFT and the deft index, clinical examinations of children were conducted. Parents were given a self-designed questionnaire to evaluate their understanding, attitudes, and practices about their children's dental health. SPSS version 24 was used for the statistical analysis. A p-value of 0.05 or less was regarded as statistically significant when using the ANOVA test to examine the relationship between dental caries status and KAP. The mean deft and DMFT were 6.46 ± 1.6 and 1.56 ± 2.8, respectively. Most parents (72.2%) demonstrated adequate knowledge, behaviors, and attitudes. Parental KAP and mean DMFT/DEFT did not differ significantly. The study's participants had reasonable KAP for the oral health of their children. The significance of deciduous teeth and their treatment, frequent dental appointments, and dietary behaviors are among the knowledge gaps in oral health.
Oral Health in Children with Obesity or Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract:Oral health status must be considered in the care of children with obesity (OB) and diabetes mellitus (DM). The health of these patients' mouths may have significant effects on their overall health and evolution of their disease. Here we address periodontal disease (PD) and dental caries (DC), since these are two of the most common chronic diseases affecting OB and DM patients. OB plays a plausible role in the development of PD. Both overall OB and central adiposity are associated with increased hazards of gingivitis and its progression to PD. The inflammatory changes of PD might not be limited to the oral cavity, these may also trigger systemic consequences. Patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T1DM, T2DM) present an increased prevalence of gingivitis and PD. In diabetics PD develops at a younger age than in the healthy population, it also worsens with the prolongation of DM. The progression to PD has been correlated with the metabolic control of the disease as it is more prevalent and more severe in patients with elevated hemoglobin A1c (A1c) levels. PD negatively affects glycemic control and other diabetes related complications and there is a general consensus that treatment of PD can positively influence these negative effects. Additionally, DC is a multifactorial oral disease that is frequently detected in those with OB and DM, although its prevalence in systematic reviews is inconclusive. The associations between gingivitis, PD and DC share similar behaviors, i.e. inadequate oral hygiene habits and unhealthy dietary intake. Insufficient tooth brushing and intake of sugary foods may result in greater detrimental oral effects. Maintaining oral health will prevent oral chronic diseases and ameliorate the consequences of chronic inflammatory processes. Thus, the care of obese and diabetic patients requires a multidisciplinary team with medical and dental health professionals.

Prevalence and Influencing Factors of Mixed Dentition Malocclusion in Children Aged 6-12 Years in Jinzhou, China

Abstract:Purpose: To investigate the prevalence, clinical manifestations and related risk factors of malocclusion in schoolchildren of Jinzhou City, China. Materials and methods: A total of 2162 children aged 6-12 years were randomly selected from various districts of Jinzhou. Conventional clinical examination was performed by stomatologists, and the results were described based on different clinical manifestations of malocclusion and individual normal occlusion. Further, a questionnaire survey completed by children's parents or guardians provided the demographic data, lifestyle, and oral habits. The distribution of individual normal occlusion and malocclusion was documented in percentage, and Pearson's Χ2 was used for two-factor analysis. The data were statistically analysed using SPSS software (version 25.0) with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: A total of 1129 boys and 1033 girls were included in this study, i.e. 52.2% and 47.8% of the total number of children, respectively. The prevalence of malocclusion in children aged 6-12 years old in Jinzhou was 67.9%, of which crowded dentition was the most common form, with a prevalence of 71.8%, followed by deep overbite, anterior crossbite, dental spacing, deep overjet, anterior edge-to-edge occlusion, and anterior open bite. In the logistic regression model, the results showed that BMI index had little effect on the occurrence of malocclusion (p > 0.05), while dental caries, bad oral habits, retained primary teeth, and a low labial frenum were all related to the occurrence of malocclusion (p < 0.05). Moreover, the higher frequency and duration of bad oral habits were associated with a higher likelihood of malocclusion. Conclusions: The prevalence of malocclusion in children aged 6-12 years in Jinzhou is high. In addition, bad oral habits (such as lip biting, tongue thrusting, biting/gnawing objects, unilateral chin supporting, and unilateral mastication) and other related risk factors (such as dental caries, mouth breathing, retention of primary teeth, and low labial frenum, etc) were associated with malocclusion.
Association of caries experience and dental plaque with sociodemographic characteristics in elementary school-aged children: a cross-sectional study

Abstract:BackgroundDental caries among Iranian elementary school children aged 6–12 years continue to rise. To estimate treatment needs and guide health initiatives, current epidemiologic data are required. Such data are currently unavailable for dental health. The purpose of this study was to assess caries experience, dental plaque, and associated factors in elementary school-aged children from Iran.MethodsIn this cross-sectional study, 988 elementary school children aged 7–12 years were selected by multistage cluster sampling. Dental caries was studied using the WHO criteria, dental plaque was examined according to O’Leary index. Data on parental education and occupation, living district, dental pain within the past year, and tooth brushing habits under parental supervision were collected through interviews based on questionnaire. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and logistic and linear regression.ResultsThe mean (SD) age of the elementary school children was 9.64 (1.73) years. The highest dmft was seen in elementary school children aged 7–8 years 6.53 (4.37) and the highest DMFT and dental plaque was in 12 year olds recorded as 1.17 (1.77) and 51.97 (25.86), respectively. The proportion of decayed teeth in 7 years old elementary school based on dmft index was 80.36%, moreover, the proportion in 12 years old elementary school was 40.17% based on the DMFT index. Age, gender, and dental pain within the past year were significantly associated with DMFT and dmft. The odds of developing dental caries (DMFT) was 1.70 times higher in girls than in boys (p < 0.001) and 1.72 times higher in the students that reported dental pain frequently than in those who did not (p = 0.005). The chance of developing dental caries (dmft) was 0.47 times lower in girls than boys (p < 0.001). Age was significantly correlated with dental plaque such that Plaque Index increased by 2.44 times per one year increase in age (p < 0.001).ConclusionResults indicated that dental caries experience and plaque formation among elementary school children in Hamadan were high and they were influenced by their sociodemographic factors. The associations found can be used as a helpful guide for planning accurate preventive programs for elementary school children in this region.

Abstract:Objective The aim of this study was to assess the association between dental clinical measures and oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) together with the potential mediating role of sociodemographic factors and oral health behaviours on this association in a group of Iraqi children. Methods The target population for this cross-sectional study consisted of 372 primary school children aged 8–10 years in the city of Kut, Iraq, during the year 2022. The participants were selected using a multi-stage random sampling technique. Detailed information about the children was collected through a comprehensive questionnaire that included demographic characteristics, oral health-related behaviors, the Arabic version of the Child Perceptions Questionnaire for 8-10-year-olds (CPQ 8-10 ), and parental knowledge regarding oral health. Additionally, clinical dental evaluations were conducted, which included assessments of decayed, missing, and filled surfaces (DMFS, dmfs) as well as teeth (DMFT, dmft). Simplified oral hygiene index (OHI-S), bleeding on probing (BOP), and the community periodontal index (CPI) were also recorded for each participant using the recommended methodology by the World Health Organization (WHO). The statistical analysis included the Chi-square test, independent t-test, and simple and multiple linear regressions. Results The mean age of the children was 9.0 (± 0.82) years. About one-third of children reported brushing at least two times per day and consuming a sweet snack once a day. Visiting a dentist during the past year was reported by 21% of children. Oral health behaviours demonstrated a significant association with the total CPQ 8-10 scores (p 0, DT > 0) had a negative impact on the total CPQ 8-10 score (adjusted β = 2.3 (95% CI: 0.67 to 3.91) and 3.4 (95% CI: 2.14 to 4.56), respectively). Decayed surfaces (DS), and teeth (DT) were associated with the total score of the CPQ 8-10 and all its subscales (adjusted β range = 0.1 (95% C.I.: 0.03 to 0.19)–1.0 (95% CI: 0.72 to 1.26) and 0.2 (95% CI: 0.004 to 0.40)–1.2 (95% CI: 0.91 to 1.67), respectively). There was an association between oral hygiene index and total CPQ 8-10 scores (adjusted β = 1.8 (95% CI: 0.62 to 3.02)), especially the functional limitations and emotional well-being subscales. Conclusion Findings of this study emphasizes the negative impact of dental caries and poor oral hygiene on children’s OHRQoL. This association is highlighted more when considering that over two-thirds of these children do not comply with favourable levels of oral health behaviour. Enhancing the level of OHRQoL among these children, therefore, necessitates comprehensive programs for decreasing the volume of unmet oral health needs and improving children’s adherence to recommended oral health behaviours.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Sleeping problems are common in the pediatric population. Their potential relationship with oral manifestations is in the scope of researchers' interest.OBJECTIVES: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the possible associations between sleeping habits and sleep bruxism, temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and dental caries among children by using Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ).MATERIAL AND METHODS: A cross-sectional study was carried out at the Faculty of Dentistry of Istanbul Aydin University, Turkey, with a representative sample of 100 children aged 6-13 years. The CSHQ was completed by their parents. In addition, an intraoral examination was carried out in a clinical setting and sleep bruxism was recorded. The temporomandibular joints (TMJ) were examined and TMD were rated according to the Helkimo anamnestic and clinical dysfunction index. Data was analyzed with Fisher's exact test and the χ2 test.RESULTS: Among sleeping habits, bedtime resistance was found to be significantly associated with sleep bruxism and TMD symptoms in children. Sleep behavior problems were also found to be related to TMD. Untreated dental caries was significantly associated with sleep fragmentation.CONCLUSIONS: Sleep bruxism, TMD and untreated dental caries might have a negative impact on children's sleeping habits and characteristics. Pediatricians and pedodontists should collaborate to identify the causes and clinical features of sleeping habits and disorders in order to avoid adverse effects on the child's stomatognathic system.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: To estimate Oral Hygiene (OH) status in the Iranian population in 2011, and to determine the influence of socio-economic characteristics on OH, and its interrelation with common risk factors of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).METHODS: Data including a total of 12,105 individuals aged 6-70 years were obtained from the sixth round of the surveys of NCDs risk factors in Iran. OH was recorded through a structured questionnaire measuring daily frequencies of tooth brushing and dental flossing. Descriptive analyses were performed on demographic characteristics in the complex sample survey setting. We also employed weighted binary logistic regression to compute Odds Ratio (OR) as a measure of association between the response and explanatory factors. Furthermore, to construct an asset index, we utilized Principal Component Analysis (PCA).RESULTS: The percentage with minimum recommended daily OH practices was 3.7% among men and 7.7% among women (OR= 2.3; P<0.001). Urban citizens were more likely to have their teeth cleaned compared to rural people (OR= 2.8; P<0.001). For both genders, a relatively better condition was observed in the 25-34 age group (male: 5.6%; female: 10.3%). In addition, OH status improved significantly by increase in both level of education (P<0.001) and economic status (P<0.001). There were also apparent associations between self-care practices and specific behavioral risk factors, though the correlation with dietary habits and tobacco use could be largely explained by socio-economic factors.CONCLUSION: OH situation in Iran calls for urgent need to assign proper interventions and strategies toward raising public awareness and reducing disparities in access to health facilities.
