Multifocal Right Atrial Myxoma with Multiple Pulmonary Embolism

Abstract:A 48-year-old male presented with progressive exertional dyspnea and was found on transthoracic echocardiography to have multiple right atrial masses (Fig. 1). There was severe tricuspid regurgitation with an estimated pulmonary artery pressure of 85mmHg. A contrast-enhanced computed tomogram of the chest revealed filling defects in both pulmonary arteries and a 2 2.5 cm mass in the right atrium (Fig. 2). At the time of surgery, three foci of myxomas were excised with partial thickness of the atrial wall (Fig. 3). Longitudinal Figure 1.
