Abstract:The accessory parotid gland (APG) is a salivary tissue, with an approximate reported incidence of 21% among human cadavers. Tumors arising from this structure are exceedingly rare, comprising 7% of all parotid gland tumors. A 20-year-old female was referred to a stomatology service due to an 18-month history of increased volume. Clinical examination revealed a mobile, palpable intraoral and extraoral nodule in the buccal mucosa, characterized by firm consistency, asymptomatic nature, well-defined contours, and the absence of associated lymphadenopathy.
