Abstract:Efficient water splitting for H2 evolution over semiconductor photocatalysts is highly attractive in the field of clean energy. It is of great significance to construct heterojunctions, among which the direct Z-scheme nanocomposite photocatalyst provides effective separation of photo-generated carriers to boost the photocatalytic performance. Herein, Z-scheme hydrated tungsten trioxide/ZnIn2S4 is fabricated via an in-situ hydrothermal method where ZnIn2S4 nanosheets are grown on WO3⋅xH2O. The close contact between WO3⋅0.5H2O and WO3⋅0.33H2O as well as ZnIn2S4 improve the charge carrier separation and migration in the photocatalyst, where the strong reducing electrons in the conduction band of ZnIn2S4 and the strong oxidizing holes in the valence band of WO3⋅0.33H2O are retained, leading to enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production. The obtained WO3⋅xH2O/ZnIn2S4 shows an excellent H2 production rate of 7200 μmol g-1h-1, which is 11 times higher than pure ZnIn2S4. To the best of our knowledge, this value is higher than most of the WO3-based noble metal-free semiconductor photocatalysts. The improved stability and activity are attributed to the formation of the Z-scheme heterojunction, which can markedly accelerate the interfacial charge separation for surface reaction. This work offers a promising strategy towards the design of efficient Z-scheme photocatalyst to suppress electron-hole recombination and optimize redox potential.

Abstract:Constructing a step-scheme heterojunction at the interface between two semiconductors is an efficient way to optimize the redox ability and accelerate the charge carrier separation of a photocatalytic system for achieving high photocatalytic performance. In this study, we prepared a hierarchical ZnO@ZnS step-scheme photocatalyst by incorporating ZnS into the outer shell of hollow ZnO microspheres via a simple in situ sulfidation strategy. The ZnO@ZnS step-scheme photocatalysts had a large surface area, high light utilization capacity, and superior separation efficiency for photogenerated charge carriers. In addition, the material simulation revealed that the formation of the step-scheme heterojunction between ZnO and ZnS was due to the presence of the built-in electric field. Our study paves the way for design of high-performance photocatalysts for H2 production.

Abstract:S-scheme heterojunction system represents a highly efficient strategy for photocatalytic applications as it can simultaneously facilitate photogenerated charge carrier separation and enhance the reduction-oxidation potentials of the photocatalyst. Despite its gigantic potential, the photocatalytic CO2 conversion efficiency of the S-scheme heterojunction remains limited mainly attributed to the sluggish interfacial charge carrier migration and poor light utilization efficiency. Herein, we prepare an InOOH/ZnIn2S4 hollow sphere S-scheme heterojunction with 0D/2D contact interface for enhancing photocatalytic CO2 conversion performance. Specifically, the hollow sphere morphology can cause the multireflection of incident light within the photocatalyst leading to enhanced light absorption of the photocatalyst. In addition, the 0D/2D contact interface can facilitate the photogenerated charge carrier migration transfer over the InOOH/ZnIn2S4 S-scheme heterojunction. Furthermore, combining in situ irradiated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ISIXPS) characterization and radicals trapping test, it is affirmed the accumulation of photogenerated holes and electrons respectively on InOOH and ZnIn2S4, which is beneficial for the effective utilization of photogenerated charge carriers. As a result, the photocatalytic CO2 conversion performance of the optimized InOOH/ZnIn2S4 is ca. 25.8 times higher than that of pristine ZnIn2S4. Efficient photocatalytic hydrogen production by space separation of photo-generated charges from S-scheme ZnIn 2 S 4 /ZnO heterojunction

Abstract:ZnIn 2 S 4 /ZnO heterostructures have been achieved by a simple in-situ growth solvothermal method. Under full spectrum irradiation, the optimal photocatalyst 2ZnIn 2 S 4 /ZnO exhibits H 2 evolution rate of 13,638 (water/ethanol = 1:1) and 3036 (water) μmol·g −1 h −1 , which is respectively 4 and 5 times higher than that of pure ZnIn 2 S 4 . In situ illumination X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ISI-XPS) analysis and density functional theory (DFT) calculations show that the electrons of ZnIn 2 S 4 are removed to ZnO through hybridization and form an internal electric field between ZnIn 2 S 4 and ZnO. The optical properties of the catalyst and the effect of internal electric field (IEF) can increase photo-generated electrons (e − )–holes (h + ) transport rate and enhance light collection, resulting in profitable photocatalytic properties. The photoelectrochemical and EPR results show that a stepped (S-scheme) heterojunction is formed in the ZnIn 2 S 4 /ZnO redox center, which greatly promotes separation of e − –h + pairs and efficient H 2 evolution. This research offers an effective method for constructing an efficient S-Scheme photocatalytic system for H 2 evolution.

Abstract:Benefiting from the construction of C3N4 and a polydopamine (PDA) S‐scheme heterojunction, the H2O2 yield over a C3N4/PDA hybrid photocatalyst is significantly enhanced. The S‐scheme heterojunction can efficiently improve the electron transfer, and the electron with powerful reduction ability is preserved to participate in O2 reduction for H2O2 production. It is a promising strategy for efficient H2O2 production. Developing a high‐performance photocatalyst is important for realizing efficient photocatalytic H2O2 generation. Herein, a novel step‐scheme (S‐scheme) heterojunction photocatalyst C3N4/PDA (CNP) comprised of ultrathin g‐C3N4 (U‐CN) and polydopamine (PDA) is constructed by in situ self‐polymerization. The optimal photocatalyst presents an excellent H2O2 production rate of 3801.25 μmol g−1 h−1 under light irradiation, which is about 2 and 11 times higher than that of pure U‐CN and PDA, respectively, and exceeds most of the reported C3N4‐based photocatalysts. The improvement of photocatalytic activity is ascribed to the synergistic effect of improved light absorption and promoted charge separation and transfer induced by the S‐scheme heterojunction. In situ irradiated X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ISI‐XPS) reveals that the charge transfer route matches the S‐scheme mechanism. Rotating disk electrode (RDE) measurements and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy verify that H2O2 is produced by a two‐step one‐electron process. This work highlights a promising method to construct high‐performance S‐scheme heterojunction photocatalysts through the hybridization of PDA and C3N4.
Ultrathin 2D/2D WO3/g-C3N4 Step-Scheme H2-production Photocatalyst

Abstract:The appropriate interfacial contact of heterojunction photocatalysts plays a critical role in transfer/separation of interfacial charge carriers. Design of two-dimensional (2D)/2D surface-to-surface heterojunction is an effective method for improving photocatalytic activity since greater contact area can enhance interfacial charge transfer rate. Herein, ultrathin 2D/2D WO3/g-C3N4 step-like composite heterojunction photocatalysts were fabricated by electrostatic self-assembly of ultrathin tungsten trioxide (WO3) and graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) nanosheets. The ultrathin WO3 and g-C3N4 nanosheets were obtained by electrostatic-assisted ultrasonic exfoliation of bulk WO3 and a two-step thermal-etching of bulk g-C3N4, respectively. The thickness of ultrathin WO3 and g-C3N4 nanosheets are 2.5-3.5 nm, which is equivalent to 5-8 atomic or molecular layer thickness. This ultrathin layered heterojunction structure can enhance surface photocatalytic rate because photogenerated electrons and holes at heterogeneous interface more easily transfer to surface of photocatalysts. Therefore, the obtained ultrathin 2D/2D WO3/g-C3N4 step-scheme (S-scheme) heterojunction photocatalysts exhibited better Hz-production activity than pure g-C3N4 and WO3 with the same loading amount of Pt as cocatalyst. The mechanism and driving force of charge transfer and separation in S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts are investigated and discussed. This investigation will provide new insight about designing and constructing novel S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts.

Abstract:Step-scheme (S-scheme) heterojunctions can efficiently promote the separation of photogenerated carriers while maintaining the strong oxidation/reduction ability of photocatalysts; thus, research attention on S-scheme heterojunctions is increasing year by year. In this study, the S-scheme ZnO@ZnIn2S4 (ZnO@ZIS) heterojunction was prepared successfully. Then, electron spin resonance (ESR) characterization was applied to prove the successful construction of the S-scheme heterojunction. Photoluminescence (PL), time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL), and photoelectrochemical experiments have demonstrated efficient interfacial charge transport in ZnO@ZIS. Finally, the mechanism of CO2 activation and electron transport was investigated by in situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and discrete Fourier transform (DFT) calculation analysis. The 40-ZnO@ZIS composite showed the best activity under light, and its CO and CH4 yields reached 39.76 and 3.92 μmol∙g-1∙h-1, respectively. This study provides a solution for optimizing the photocatalytic reduction activity of semiconductor photocatalysts by constructing S-scheme heterojunction materials to improve the CO2 reduction capacity.

Abstract:Photocatalytic activities based on charge transfer and separation at interfaces can be effectively promoted by matching chemical Z-scheme heterojunctions and electronic structures. However, the fabrication of morphology-controlled heterojunctions has been a challenge to many researchers. Herein, hollow spheres ZnO/In2O3 was constructed via hydrothermal strategy by fine-tuning the concentration of metal nitrate precursors, and special yolk-shell morphology was generated by the symmetrical Ostwald ripening process. The fabricated Z-Scheme heterojunction exhibited characteristic multi-channel charge transfer properties, which favors the spatial separation of carriers. The ZnO/In2O3 hollow spheres increased the utilization of light source, and the yolk-shell structure increased the interface area and the active sites. Benefiting from the synergistic effect, the ZnO/In2O3 exhibited excellent photocatalytic activities for H2 production, which was comparatively 26.7 times that obtained using ZnO nanoparticles. From calculations based on DFT, the Z-scheme photogenerated charge transfer mechanism was proposed. The proposed mechanism was verified by analyzing the chemical properties (surface) and the •O2− and •OH free radical concentrations before and after the photoreaction. The mechanism presented the ZnO/In2O3 with strong capabilities for H2 production and elucidated the improved photocatalytic performances. This work creates an innovative route for constructing Z-scheme photocatalytic systems with great photocatalytic activities for H2 production.

A Z-scheme ZnIn 2 S 4 /ZnS heterojunction catalyst: insight into enhanced photocatalytic performance and mechanism

Abstract:The reasonable design of a highly efficient photocatalyst to improve its hydrogen production performance has attracted extensive attention. In this work, ZnIn 2 S 4 /ZnS (ZIS/ZnS) heterojunctions were constructed through a one-step solvothermal method, which ensures a good microscopic relationship between different phases and keeps their interfaces in close contact. The optimized ZIS/ZnS catalyst exhibited exceptionally enhanced photocatalytic activity under simulated AM 1.5G irradiation, and the maximum hydrogen evolution rate reached 464.1 μmol h −1 , which was 16.2 and 7.3 times higher than that of pure ZnS and ZIS, respectively. Photo/electrochemical analyses proved that the ZIS/ZnS heterojunction has high charge separation efficiency and a strong redox ability. A Z-scheme electron transfer mechanism was proposed to explain the dramatic increase in photocatalytic activity which was based on photodeposition experiments. In addition, the catalyst also showed excellent hydrogen evolution activity under visible light irradiation ( λ > 420 nm). We explored the charge transfer mechanism in detail under different light conditions, employing in situ XPS and photo-deposition experiments.

Abstract:ZnO, as a typical n-type semiconductor catalyst with low cost and high electron mobility, is concerned by numerous pursuers in the field of photocatalysis. However, because of its poor photo-reduction ability and high recombination rate, the ZnO in photocatalytic H2 evolution is greatly limited. To acquire an outstanding photocatalytic H2 evolution performance, 3D ordered macroporous (3DOM) ZnO is sulfurized in-situ to construct 3DOM ZnS@ZnO heterostructure. The ordered macroporous structure not only accelerates the migration of electrons and ions but also curtails the shift space of electrons and holes. The multi-junction assemblage between ZnO and ZnS effectively decreases the recombination of electron-hole pairs and improves the photo-redox capacity. The 3DOM Pt/ZnS@ZnO heterostructure exhibiting an excellent performance is 87.6 μmol g−1 h−1 in pure water. Therefore, our research presents an innovative procedure for designing other porous heterostructure photocatalysts.

Abstract:Enhancement of the light-absorption response and utilization of the photogenerated carriers represent a robust strategy for the design of high-performance photocatalyst. In this work, grafting Co x P nanoclusters onto S-scheme heterojunction of W 18 O 49 /ZnIn 2 S 4 (WO/ZIS-Co x P) with strong response to the ultraviolet–visible–near infrared ray (UV–vis–NIR) region has been achieved, which possesses efficient electron-transfer-channel, and boosts charge-separation and transport kinetics. The as-prepared WO/ZIS-Co x P yields an impressive solar-driven hydrogen production rate of 45 mmol·g −1 ·h −1 . The increased photocatalytic performance is attributed to the synergistic effect of the composite catalyst: (1) The local surface plasmon resonance-induced "hot electron" injection of W 18 O 49 significantly increases the electron density; (2) the engineered S-scheme directional electron transfer promotes charge separation and enhances the reducing capability of photoexcited electrons; and (3) Co x P as electron-trap site for accelerating surface proton reduction reaction. This work provides a platform to impart nonprecious co-catalyst for engineering S-scheme heterojunction, serving a class of efficient solar-driven photocatalyst towards hydrogen production.

Abstract:The design of a heterogeneous structure for photocatalysts has attracted significant attention. In this study, a step-scheme (S-scheme) heterojunction was designed using an in-situ synthesis method. The resulting heterojunction comprised 3D microspheres of ZnIn2S4 and octahedral MOF-808 (ZnIn2S4/MOF-808). During this process, we investigated the impact of the scale of the ZnIn2S4 microspheres on performance by controlling the growth of the ZnIn2S4 microspheres with various scales. The maximum catalytic activity was discovered to be achieved with ZnIn2S4 microspheres of 6 µm when coupled with MOF-808. Compared to pure ZnIn2S4 and MOF-808, the fabricated S-scheme ZnIn2S4/MOF-808 heterojunction exhibited notably improved photocatalytic CO2 reduction performance. The performance of the CO yield of the optimized sample could reach 8.21 μmol g−1 h−1, which was approximately 10 and 8 times higher than those of ZnIn2S4 (0.84 μmol g−1 h−1) and MOF-808 (1.03 μmol g−1 h−1), respectively. Moreover, ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy, ESR, in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and density functional theory calculations were used to study the charge transfer mechanism of the S-scheme heterojunction. In-situ FT-IR investigation established the Carbene pathway as the source of CO production (CO2 → CO2* → COOH* → CO* → CO). This study provides an efficient method for designing an S-scheme heterojunction for photocatalytic CO2 reduction.

S-scheme SrTiO3/porous ZnO Derived by Pyrolysis of ZIF-8 Composite with Efficient Photocatalytic Activity for Pollutant Degradation

Abstract:Semiconductor catalyst with high photocatalytic activity can be exploited via heterojunction. In this study, a new S-scheme SrTiO3/porous ZnO composite was rationally devised, successfully prepared by utilizing a two-step pyrolysis of SrTiO3/ZIF-8, and analyzed by various characterization technologies including XRD, SEM, TEM, BET, XPS, PL, UV-vis DRS, and photoelectrochemical and DFT theoretical calculations. A porous structure, tight contact, and a heterojunction formed between SrTiO3 and porous ZnO (ZnOT) can be observed by SEM and TEM images. BET testing indicates that the SrTiO3/porous ZnO composite (S3ZT) shows the highest specific surface area (30.37 m(2)/g). The band gap values (Eg) of SrTiO3 and ZnOT are around 3.17 and 2.95 eV, which agree with those obtained from DFT calculations. Compared to other samples, the SrTiO3/porous ZnO composite (S3ZT) shows higher light absorption and lower transfer resistance as demonstrated by UV-vis DRS and EIS results. S3ZT presents a superior photocatalytic efficiency of 48.8% in degrading 5 mg/L methyl orange (MO) irradiated by 1 h UV-vis light, which are 7-and 1.5-fold higher than pristine SrTiO3 and ZnOT, respectively. Moreover, based on Mott-Schottky theory, active species trapping experiments, XPS determination, and DFT calculations (energy band gap and work function), it was shown to be reasonable to utilize the S-scheme charge migration process for an explanation regarding the better photocatalytic activity of SrTiO3/porous ZnO composite. Overall, this work will provide an effective protocol for devising and preparing semiconductor photocatalysts with S-scheme heterojunction by utilizing the superior characteristics of MOFs. Abstract:In consideration of environmental protection and energy conversion, the development of semiconductor photocatalytic technology is as first choice. But the photocatalytic performance of typical ZrO2 catalyst is seriously inhibited since it can only been driven by ultraviolet light. Herein, constructing S-scheme g–C3N4–modified ZrO2 heterostructures can be conducive to enhance photocatalytic performance by separating rapidly the photogenerated carriers. In this work, a series of S-scheme g-C3N4/ZrO2 heterostructures were constructed via the simple calcination, and their photocatalytic performances were evaluated by degradating Rhodamine B (RhB), Methyl orange (MO) and Acid orange II (AO II) under visible light irradiation. Importantly, 15% g-C3N4/ZrO2 heterostructures exhibited superior photocatalytic activities (degradating 82% RhB, 50% MO and 98% AO II in 150 min) and electrocatalytic performance (possessing lower overpotential, Tafel slope as well as more exposed active sites). The enhanced performances were ascribed to the intensive light absorption, the larger specific surface area, more exposed active sites as well as the higher separation of photogenerated electrons/holes pairs, which were confirmed by UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS), photoluminescence (PL) spectra, electrochemical and radicals trapping experiments. This research provides the platform for the application in environmental protection and energy conversion via constructing S-scheme heterostructures.

In this study, a novel 3D MoS2 structure of hollow micro-flower is fabricated via the template method, on which 0D Zn0.5Cd0.5S (ZnCdS) nanoparticles are in-situ grown, forming a unique MoS2/Zn0.5Cd0.5S (M/ZCS) hierarchical structure. Using 10 vol% lactic acids as the sacrificial agent, the uppermost hydrogen evolution efficiency of 10% M/ZCS is 33.8 mmol‧g−1‧h−1, which is around 16 times and 786 times higher than that of single ZnCdS (2.1 mmol‧g−1‧h−1) and MoS2 (0.043 mmol‧g−1‧h−1). Furthermore, the apparent improvement in photocatalytic performance is mainly ascribed to the construction of the M/ZCS hierarchical structure, which resultful inhibits the agglomeration of ZnCdS nanoparticles, increases the availability of visible light, and shortens the transfer distance of carriers. Meanwhile, the S-Scheme heterojunction formed between ZnCdS and MoS2 significantly promotes the transfer and separation of photogenerated electrons and holes. This paper provides a novel strategy for the further synthesis of high-performance photocatalysts with hollow architecture and significant heterojunction for hydrogen evolution.

Abstract:Reasonable design of heterojunction photocatalysts can effectively promote charge separation, thus improving their photocatalytic performance. Herein, a Bi 2 Fe 4 O 9 @ZnIn 2 S 4 S-scheme laminated heterojunction photocatalyst with 2D/2D interface interaction is prepared via a hydrothermal–annealing–hydrothermal method. The photocatalytic hydrogen production rate of Bi 2 Fe 4 O 9 @ZnIn 2 S 4 is up to 3964.26 μmol h −1 g −1 , which is 12.1 times higher than that of pristine ZnIn 2 S 4 . In addition, its photocatalytic tetracycline degradation efficiency (99.9%) is also optimized. The enhanced photocatalytic performance can be attributed to the formation of S-scheme laminated heterojunctions that facilitate charge separation as well as strong 2D/2D laminated interface interactions favoring charge transfer. By combining in situ irradiation X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy with other characterization methods, the photoexcited charge transfer mechanism of S-scheme heterojunctions has been proved. Photoelectric chemical tests demonstrate the effectiveness of the S-scheme laminated heterojunction in improving the charge separation. This strategy provides a novel perspective for designing other high-efficient S-scheme laminated heterojunction photocatalysts.

Abstract:Rational design of the photocatalysis is of vital importance to mediate many important photocatalytic reactions such as water splitting, pollutant degradation and CO2 reduction. In this work, we employed a solvent evaporation induced self-assembly method to prepare a novel S-scheme heterojunction composite by combining sulfur-doped porous graphite carbon nitride (S-pCN) with tungsten oxide (WO2.72) semiconductors which manifest effective interface contact and excellent photocatalytic performance. During the formation of the heterojunction, the electron defect state of surface oxygen vacancies on WO2.72 can be filled by the lone pair electrons of sulfur and nitrogen elements on S-pCN. Through the adjustment of composite ratios, appropriate surface oxygen vacancies were retained on WO2.72, thereby fascinate the migration of electrons and the generation of free radicals. The internal electric field (IEF) and the band bending effects accelerate the transfer of photogenerated charges at the interface, thereby promotes the recombination of useless photogenerated carriers, retains photogenerated electron (e−) and hole (h+) with the higher redox potentials, improves the separation and utilization efficiency of the photogenerated carriers and enhances the photocatalytic activity of the system. This work provides new insights for the design of a novel S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst for highly efficient simultaneous photocatalytic degradation and hydrogen evolution activity.

Abstract:Photocatalysts derived from semiconductor heterojunctions for water splitting have bright prospects in solar energy conversion. Here, a Co3O4@ZIS p-n heterojunction was successfully created by developing two-dimensional ZnIn2S4 on ZIF-67-derived hollow Co3O4 nanocages, realizing efficient spatial separation of the electron-hole pair. Moreover, the black hollow structure of Co3O4 considerably increases the range of light absorption and the light utilization efficiency of the heterojunction avoids the agglomeration of ZnIn2S4 nanosheets and further improves the hydrogen generation rate of the material. The obtained Co3O4(20) @ZIS showed excellent photocatalytic H2 activity of 5.38 mmol g−1·h−1 under simulated solar light, which was seven times more than that of pure ZnIn2S4. Therefore, these kinds of constructions of hollow p-n heterojunctions have a positive prospect in solar energy conversion fields.

Abstract:A novel porphyrin‐based covalent organic polymer(COP)/ZnIn2S4(ZIS) Z‐Scheme heterostructure is constructed with electrons donor–acceptor type COP and ZIS via in situ formation of COP nanoparticals on the surface of ZIS nanoflowers. The photo‐induced electrons transported from the highest occupied molecular orbital of COP combined with the photo‐induced holes at the valence band of ZIS, facilitating the accumulation of photo‐electrons at the surface of ZIS for efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution. The density functional theory calculations are performed to analyze and confirm the charge transfer between COP and ZIS. The construction of a Z‐scheme photocatalytic system is significant in realizing efficient water splitting for hydrogen (H2) evolution. Herein, a novel donor–acceptor covalent organic polymer (COP) is introduced to construct a COP‐ZnIn2S4 (ZIS) heterostructure via in situ condensation reaction. The COP‐ZIS heterostructure with platinum (Pt) as cocatalyst delivers a high hydrogen evolution rate of 5.04 mmol g−1 h−1, which is 16 and 3 times higher than ZIS and Pt/ZIS, respectively. The built‐in field between the highest occupied molecular orbital of COP and the valence band (VB) of ZIS forms a Z‐scheme heterostructure, realizing efficient charge separation. Based on density functional theory calculations, the porphyrin molecule in COP act as electron donor that provides compensating electrons to ZIS. The cocatalyst boosts the utilization of electrons in ZIS. The rate‐limiting steps for H2 evolution with ZIS are overcome by improving charge separation with the Z‐scheme heterostructure and speeding up the reaction with cocatalyst. Therefore, the COP‐ZIS heterostructure with Pt exhibits optimized H2 evolution. This work will inspire to construct novel organic and inorganic Z‐scheme photocatalysts for efficient green energy production.

Efficient photocatalytic hydrogen peroxide production over S-scheme In2S3/molten salt modified C3N5 heterojunction

Abstract:Graphitic phase carbon nitride (g-C3N5), as a novel n-type metal-free material, is employed as a visible light-receptive catalyst because of its narrow band gap and abundant nitrogen. To overcome the low carrier mobility efficiency of g-C3N5, its modification by K ions was adopted. In addition, In2S3 was selected to couple with modified g-C3N5 to overcome the recombination of photogenerated e-/h+. As a novel photocatalytic material, it was proven to possess a high visible light absorption capacity and a strong H2O2 production ability (up to 3.89 mmol⋅L-1 in 2 h). Moreover, a S-scheme heterojunction structure was successfully constructed between the two materials, which was tested and confirmed to be successful in raising the photogenerated e-/h+ separation efficiency. Ultimately, the primary processes of photocatalytic H2O2 production were summarized by superoxide radical and rotating disc electron measurements. This research provides a fresh perspective for the synthesis of C3N5-based S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts for producing H2O2.
