Service Quality Evaluation of Ancient City Scenic Spots Based on Tourists' Perceptions: An Example of Qingzhou Ancient

Abstract:With the increasing number of ancient cities and towns in China and the fierce competition in the operating environment, managers of scenic spots are aware of the need to maintain high standards of service quality in order to survive. This study uses the SERVQUAL model, modified as the Ancient Town Tourism Service Quality Model, to measure the gap between the perceived and expected service quality of tourists in the context of ancient town scenic areas. The Qingzhou Ancient City Scenic Area is used as a case study because it is rated high among ancient city scenic areas in China. The impact of the dimensions of the model on visitor satisfaction is also investigated.

Abstract:This paper takes Gongtan Ancient Town of Chongqing as a case study, takes the online comment text of tourists on the websites of Ctrip and Dianping as data, analyzes the online text through content analysis, and uses ROST CM-6 software to conduct word frequency, emotion and semantic network analysis, aiming to deeply explore the tourist experience of Gongtan Ancient Town. The results show that: (1) Tourists' experience of Gongtan Ancient Town consists of five dimensions: tourist destination perception, sensory experience, physical and mental experience, tourist destination characteristic experience and service experience. (2) Natural scenery, local characteristics and service guarantee are the main tourist attractions of Gongtan Ancient Town.(3) Tourists' overall experience and perception of tourism in Gongtan Ancient Town tend to be positive emotions. Tourists' dissatisfaction mainly comes from heavy traffic jams during holidays, poor service attitude of staff and poor accommodation conditions. (4) The semantic network is divided into three levels: the core area is the tourists' objective cognition of the scenic spot name and location; The sub-core circle is the cultural cognition of the ancient town and the characteristic architecture and activity projects; The edge layer is the image characteristic cognition and tourism evaluation of the ancient town. In addition, some optimization suggestions are put forward for the existing problems of Gongtan Ancient Town. The research results not only provide a scientific basis for the tourism development and construction of Gongtan Ancient town, but also provide a reference for the optimization of tourist experience in other ancient towns.

Abstract:Abstract Based on the policies and rural revitalization strategies launched by government, this paper studied the relevant cultural background of Lechang town of Shaoguan area from three aspects of history, folk custom and food, taking the South China Educational History Research Base (Pingshi) as an example. On account of these historical and cultural information, it provides a basis for the spatial organization in workshop mode and the functional space design in historical scene restoration. And further study the actualities and problems, which the workshop mode faced in how to combine the learning theme, architectural design and other aspects with history, regional culture, education. Finally, it summarizes the space design strategies of workshop mode of Pingshi Old Street through practical experience, which provides reference for the renovation design of research and study base under the educational history background.

This topic addresses the current situation of tourism souvenir design in Pingyao Ancient City, extracts the core cultural elements and graphic elements of the scenic spot, and then shapes the brand of "Pingyao Gift", and through the development of a series of tourism souvenirs of Pingyao, attracts more people to have a more in-depth understanding of the culture of Pingyao, thus achieving the purpose of promoting the culture of Pingyao and bringing certain economic benefits. Abstract:The urban renewal of older districts usually has a significant impact on the sense of place and identity. However, a systematic post-renewal evaluation of older districts with cultural resources based on multi public satisfaction is still lacking. This study takes Nantou Ancient City in Shenzhen, an urbanized village with rich historical and cultural resources, as an example; this study introduces the multi public, including the residents, merchants and tourists, as the evaluation subject. By establishing an evaluation system suitable for the characteristics of Nantou Ancient City, this study explores the existing problems of renewal and transformation, summarizes experiences and lessons and provides a basis for the sustainable development of Nantou Ancient City and the organic renewal of urbanized villages in Shenzhen. First of all, on the basis of combing the existing community renewal evaluation system, especially the satisfaction evaluation and the research on the historical value of the urbanized villages, the historical and cultural value and the renewal and transformation process of Nantou Ancient City are introduced, and the multiple values of Nantou Ancient City are clarified. Secondly, the demand contradiction between the public group and the core stakeholders is analyzed, as well as the internal demand and difference of the public group. After that, combined with field research, literature analysis and network review data analysis, the post-renovation evaluation system of Nantou Ancient City is constructed in terms of six aspects: residential environment, supporting facilities, street space, history and culture, economy, commerce and social culture. Then, the questionnaire is designed for three different groups of residents, merchants and tourists, and the evaluation system is applied to Nantou Ancient City for empirical research. By means of mean analysis, variance analysis and IPA analysis, the similarities and differences of the evaluation of different public groups are compared, which is taken as the basis for summarizing the existing problems in the renovation of Nantou Ancient City, and optimization suggestions are put forward.

Abstract:Residents’ perceptions on tourism impacts and attitudes towards tourism development have a great influence on tourism sustainable development. But the measuring factors of research on residents’ perceptions on tourism impacts are not unified. This paper takes Pingyao ancient city as a case and employs interviewing method, and it analyzes residents’ perceptions on tourism economic impacts, socio-cultural impacts and environmental impacts. Furthermore, the paper examines the significance of taking the manners of people who participate in tourism into consideration. Results show that the residents have some perceptions on tourism impacts, but the overall satisfaction of tourism development is not high, and there is a small proportion of a heater or opponents. In addition, residents who participate in tourism in different patterns have distinctly different perceptions on tourism impacts, and the community development can be used to explain the difference of residents’ perceptions.

Abstract:Historic and cultural districts reflect the cultural memory of a specific historical period, but they are also the physical space where real people live and move around, and therefore their conservation is an important part of urban development. This study takes the old district renovation project of Enning Road in Guangzhou as an example, describes the current situation after the renovation, discusses the problems, refers to successful cases of renovation at home and abroad, and proposes renovation measures from the perspective of visitors sense of experience. From the end of the 19th century to the present day, a series of renovation policies have revitalised Enning Road, and the transformation has gradually changed from large-scale demolition and construction to micro-renewal of the city. The development of Enning Road, as a commercial centre with a local historical character, has revealed a lack of renovation for the experience of tourists in terms of travel and safety, as the number of tourists attracted has increased year by year. This paper proposes zoning and beautification of shop decoration, enhanced traffic safety planning in the scenic area and the development of special tourist routes under the conditions of tourist demand.

Abstract:Suburban leisure and tourism are important supplements to the suburban economic development and urban tourism and of great significance under the background of urban-rural integration. Tourism development of Wangcong Shrine in Chengdu is still in the initial stage. Regarding the development of tourism, Wangcong Shrine owns the advantage of environment, transportation, economy and history, but the disadvantage of landscape, architecture, content, identity, and publicity as well. Development of suburban leisure travel is one direction of tourism development of Wangcong Shrine. The people of Chengdu are main target tourists of a one-day trip. And various parks, Farmer's House Tour, leisure villa and other suburban attractions are its competitors. To developing Wangcong Shrine tourism, increase of historical contents is its focus. The positioning of the civilization of ancient Shu should be shifted to Shu civilization; and renewal of the Huangcheng (Imperial City) is necessary to attract more Chengdu people for short tour and leisure.

Abstract:Yangmei Ancient Town, located in Nanning, Guangxi, is an ancient town with a long history and unique culture. In order to improve the landscape quality of the ancient town, this study uses the place spirit theory to carry on the landscape transformation design of Yangmei Ancient Town. In this design, the historical and cultural characteristics of the ancient town, the living habits and needs of local residents, as well as the roads, squares and buildings of the ancient town are fully considered, and partial reservation and partial node design are carried out. By optimizing the road layout and landscape greening, the overall environment of the ancient town is more beautiful and livable. At the same time, the ancient buildings have been repaired and protected to retain the historical style of the town. In the landscape transformation design, a cultural exhibition area is set up to strengthen the publicity and dissemination of the ancient town culture, so that more people can understand and pay attention to the charm of this ancient town. At the same time, the principles of sustainable development, ecological restoration and people-oriented are emphasized in the design, which provides references for the design of the ancient town, improves the charm of the ancient town and improves the urban environment.

Abstract:The tourist satisfaction evaluation is helpful to the construction and management of land reclamation cultural scenic spots. In this study, the Beiting Ancient Town and the Xinjiang Corps Reclamation Museum were selected as typical representatives of land reclamation cultural scenic, the network text analysis and Delphi method were combined to construct an evaluation index system of land reclamation cultural scenic spots, weighted by AHP, and finally evaluated and analyzed by fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and IPA analysis method. The results show that the unique tourism resources are the strengths, while the infrastructure and service attitude are the weaknesses.

Abstract:More and more people have been realizing the importance of ecological environment construction, which not only ensures people's health but also plays an important role in promoting the economy and society. County-level space is a current and long-term development focus in China, and improving the ecological environment to promote urban-rural integration and high-quality development is an effective way. Adhering to a people-centered approach and understanding the feelings and opinions of local residents can effectively guide urban and rural planning. This study investigated the residents of the Shichuan River Ecological Area in Fuping through field research and questionnaire interviews. The results indicate that the research area can attract tourists from the entire county and even other places. The initial promotion and publicity play an important role in project construction. The vast majority are satisfied with the current ecological environment construction, but there is still room for improvement in supporting facilities and supplementing urban functions.

Abstract:Abstract Under the upsurge of beautiful rural construction and “toilet revolution”, the public toilets in rural areas have made remarkable achievements in environmental health, but it is still poor in micro space quality and aesthetic sense, and homogenization causes serious local deficiencies. Therefore, this paper selects Daoming bamboo art village in Chongzhou city and Chuanxi Music Linpan in Dujiangyan city of China as the research areas. Starting from the micro space of public toilet in Linpan integrating industry and tourism, On the basis of defining the concept of the micro space, this paper uses Likert scale method to acquire the local evaluation of local villagers, tourists and business operators on the micro space, and applies factor analysis method to verify the evaluation five-dimension of the micro space, including humanistic care, cultural heritage, landscape optimization, spatial design and functional innovation. The results show that the respondents have a high recognition of the local landscape of the micro space, but it is believed that there are still deficiencies in terms of humanistic care, functional innovation, spatial design and cultural heritage. It aims at providing a reference for the local evaluation and creation of the micro space of Linpan, so as to help the protection of Linpan in Western Sichuan.

Abstract:With the increasingly fierce competition in tourism industry, the service quality of tourist attractions must keep up if they are to develop, especially the current form of tourism gradually tends to quality and refinement, and tourists have higher expectations and requirements for tourism quality. Based on this, Zhaoxing Dong Village Scenic Area in Liping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province is selected as the research object, and the index evaluation system is constructed by using literature research method and interview method, etc. The data is obtained by issuing questionnaires through field research, using software SPSS analysis data，and the index data is analyzed by using modified IPA method. The study found that the scenic spot still needs to be improved mainly in the aspects of catering service, tour service and shopping service. In response to the research results, the following suggestions were put forward: to create "a theme of multiple forms, with a chain of pearls" form of catering development; to strengthen the "one center, multiple support" tourism route planning; to promote the realization of "shopping four Shopping services" and other recommendations.The proposed improvement countermeasures will help Zhaoxing Dong Village scenic spot to improve the quality of tourism services and promote the sustainable development of the scenic spot.
