Abstract:Extended nursing plays an important role in promoting construction of Healthy China and improving level of medical and health services. In order to explore development trend of extended nursing in China, in this article concerning extended nursing, the concept, status quo of providers and needs of application objects were reviewed; modes, effect evaluation tools and quality control situation were summarized, so as to provide ideas for further research.
The Research Hotspots of Critical Care Nursing in Recent 5 Years Based on PubMed Database

Abstract:Objective To analyze the research hotspot of critical care nursing abroad in recent 5 years,in order to provide reference for critical care nursing research in China. Methods PubMed database was searched for articles related to critical care nursing from 2017 to 2022. Bicomb software was used for word frequency analysis,and gCLUTO software was used for cluster analysis. Results A total of 1 263 articles related to critical care nursing were included,the number of publications reached the highest level from 2018 to 2020,and showed a downward trend in the past two years. Forty-four high-frequency keywords were extracted,and the cumulative percentage of occurrence frequency was 55.50%. Four research hotspots of critical care were summarized by cluster analysis,which were humanistic care of critical care nursing,working environment of critical care,clinical nursing practice of critical care and nursing of special critical diseases. Conclusion In recent years,the research objects and contents extended and deepened. The research objects included ICU nurses,patients and their families. The research contents involved humanistic care,clinical practice and working environment,focused on clinical difficulties such as surrogate decision-making,auxiliary communication and hospice care of ICU patients. In the future,we still need to summarize the hotspots of critical care nursing research in order to provide ideas for further exploring the depth and breadth of critical care nursing research.

Abstract:Background. This study aimed to conduct a literature search to determine research hotspots in the field of gerontological care education in China and abroad. A knowledge of the focus of research conducted abroad may assist Chinese educators in determining the shape of gerontological care education in the future. Methods. The “Web of Science Core Collection” and “CNKI” databases were searched for literature on gerontological care education published from 2010 to 2020. CiteSpace software was used to display the knowledge map of co-occurrence of keywords, and an evolution trend map of research hotspots in recent 10 years was constructed. Results. From 2010 to 2020, the focus of foreign gerontological nursing education research was on the training of gerontological nursing personnel; the development of elderly care services; and education and training in dealing with patients with senile delirium and dementia. The focus of gerontological nursing education research in China was primary care education, training of senior elderly nursing personnel, talent training mode reform, training of nursing staff, and career development paths for geriatric nursing staff. Conclusions. Foreign geriatric nursing education research focuses on cultivating talents, mental health services for the elderly, innovating the mode of pension, and the care of patients with disorders such as dementia and delirium, while in China, the emphasis remains on gerontological nursing personnel training. Attention to research developments in other countries may assist Chinese educators to promote the development of geriatric nursing education in our country.

Abstract:An historical overview of Leininger’s Theory of Culture Care Diversity and Universality also known as the Culture Care Theory (CCT) and evolution of the Sunrise Enabler are presented along with descriptions of the theory purpose, goal, tenets, basic assumptions, major core constructs, and orientational definitions. Recent articles, books, and book chapters provide relevant exemplars to enhance scholarly understanding and application of theory constructs. Proposed future directions encompass using the CCT to guide research of discovery and translational research projects for evidenced-based nursing practice; develop nursing courses and curricula to prepare culturally competent nurses; guide future culturally competent administrative and leadership policies and procedures; inform public policy related to cultural diversity and underserved populations; promote grant writing initiatives to enhance cultural diversity in hiring nursing staff, supervisors, and faculty; and promote admission of nursing students from underserved and/or diverse backgrounds.

Abstract:Primary health care is a salient feature of the health care system in both developed and developing countries. In accordance with the indicators put forward by Starfield of primary health care development in various countries, a comparative study was made on primary health care personnel, sources of funds and manners of payment, modes of services, and reform and development trends in both China and Germany. By means of analyzing primary health care and the system of general practitioners in Germany, the paper aims to explore channels for achieving ptimary health care in China so as to promote further reform in the domestic health system.

Abstract:It expounded the status quo of research on communication of nurses in abroad and in China.The author thought that research on communication of nurses was relatively mature in abroad.Assessment tools included Roter interaction analysis system,four conventions coding system,conversation analysis and communication scale.However,research on communication of nurses in China was still at the starting stage.Rating scales development are not mature.It needs to develop assessment scales of communication skills for evaluation of clinical nurses so as to provide some bases for evaluating and enhancing communication skills of clinical nurses.
Caring in context: caring practices in a sample of Hong Kong nurses

Abstract:In an effort to place the international literature and research in nursing in a Chinese cultural context a study was commenced to examine the caring practices of nurses in Hong Kong. In view of a recent study (Wilkes & Wallis, 1993) which utilised Roach's 5Cs of caring (Roach, 1987, 1992), a pilot study was commenced on a sample of 77 Hong Kong Registered Nurses studying a Diploma of Nursing. An open ended questionnaire was designed which asked nurses to respond to questions about caring in general and the 5Cs: compassion, competence, confidence, conscience and commitment. The questions asked what each of the concepts meant to them as a nurse. Data was analysed into themes based on key words for each of the six areas revealing that the sample of Hong Kong nurses viewed caring in a similar light to those in overseas studies. The sample highlighted compassion and competence as their major features and it is suggested that methodological problems may have inhibited a deeper analysis of their caring attributes and behaviours. When asked to expand on the 5 Cs in terms of their own practice they were able to supply themes which were closely related to Roach's definitions but which may have been more 'textbook' in their origin and certainly lacked a richness of response. The paucity of responses in terms of clarity and richness of data, followed by discussions with the participants led to conclusions about the methodological issues of cross-cultural research and recommendations for future research are made. Highlighted are the problems with attempting to use concepts such as the 5 Cs across cultures and the problems encountered with translation of concepts related to caring from Chinese into English, and vice-versa. The study has provided some insights into the concepts of caring in Hong Kong Chinese nurses. In the light of advances in China and unification of previously separate countries these findings provide and offer insights into nursing in China and are encouraging for future research.
Research frontier and evolution analysis of critical care fields based on CNKI

Abstract:Objective To comb the thread and trend of critical care fields in China for nearly 15 years, analyze research frontiers, demonstrate research evolution paths, provide reference for researchers and clinicians to carry out related work. Methods Using CiteSpace software and CNKI database to retrieve research literature about critical care from 2004 to 2018 in China for visual analysis. Results A total of 3 049 valid articles were retrieved. The research frontiers were mainly about emergency and critical nursing, nursing quality management, intensive care, clinical teaching quality and ICU nurses. Research trends from critical care, critically ill patients, disease condition change, to quality control, family members, nursing skills, basic nursing, now gradually turned to humanized care, nursing strategies, sustainable human care concepts, evolution map showed that emerging trend was more active. Conclusions In last 15 years, research fields of critical care in China have evolved actively, exploring research frontiers, focus on important topics such as evidence-based nursing,humanistic care nursing concept, intensive care information system, and cluster management strategy, extending and deepening professional development of critical care. Abstract:The aim of this study was to compare Swedish and Chinese nurses' experiences of ethical dilemmas and workplace distress in order to deepen understanding of the challenges neuroscience nurses encounter in different cultures. Qualitative interviews from two previously performed empirical studies in Sweden and China were the basis of this comparative study. Four common content areas were identified in both studies: ethical dilemmas, workplace distress, quality of nursing and managing distress. The themes formulated within each content area were compared and synthesized into novel constellations by means of aggregated concept analysis. Despite wide differences in the two health care systems, the nurse participants had similar experiences with regard to work stress and a demanding work situation. They were struggling with similar ethical dilemmas, which concerned seriously ill patients and the possibilities of providing good care. This indicates the importance of providing nurses with the tools to influence their own work situation and thereby reducing their work-related stress.

Abstract:Background: The need to provide humanistic care in the contemporary healthcare system is more imperative now and the importance of cultivating caring in nursing education is urgent. Caring as the primary work of nursing has been discussed extensively, such as the meaning of caring, and teaching and learning strategies to improve nursing students' caring ability. Yet attempts to understand students' perspectives on learning about caring and to know their learning needs are seldom presented. The aim of this qualitative descriptive study was to explore the baccalaureate nursing students' perspectives on learning about caring in China. Methods: A qualitative descriptive study using focus group interviews were undertaken in two colleges in Yunnan Province, China from February 2010 to April 2010. Purposeful sampling of 20 baccalaureate nursing students were recruited. Content analysis of the transcribed data was adopted to identify the themes. Results: Four categories with some sub-categories related to students' perspectives on learning about caring were identified from the data: 1) Learning caring by role model; 2) conducive learning environment as the incentive to the learning about caring; 3) lack of directive substantive way of learning as the hindrance to the learning about caring; 4) lack of cultural competency as the barrier to the learning about caring. Conclusions: Both caring and uncaring experiences can promote the learning about caring in a way of reflective practice. The formal, informal and hidden curricula play an important role in the learning about caring. Cultural awareness, sensitivity and humility are important in the process of learning to care in a multicultural area.

Abstract:This paper is dedicated to reviewing relative research on humanistic caring ability of intern nursing students and proposing strategies to improve humanistic caring ability. Firstly, current paper collected information from both domestic and foreign literature, and then scientific analysis, summary and overview of research results were conducted with regards to humanistic caring ability of interns nursing students. By analyzing the current situation of intern nursing students' humanistic caring ability, and factors that have influence on humanistic caring ability of intern nursing students, the present paper is determined to come up with feasible change methods and form strategic paths. At present, the humanistic care ability of intern nursing students is relatively low. Students, schools, hospitals, and the society all exert influence on the humanistic care ability of intern nursing students. Although scholars' research is different in topics or focus, the conclusions drawn from this research are highly consistent. Nursing humanistic care is the internal quality of nursing staff concerning morality, humanity, and integration of knowledge, concepts, and attitudes. Nursing humanistic care ability includes caring experience ability and caring behavior ability. The necessary psychological characteristics of personality are regarded as a special ability. It is of great significance to promote the quality of nursing and humanistic care ability of intern nursing students who serve as the backup force of nursing talent team. Meanwhile, it is imperative to strengthen the construction of intern nursing students' humanistic care ability.

Analysis of the Development Trend of Clinical Research Nurses in China Based On CiteSpace

Abstract:Objective To reveal the development characteristics and trends of clinical research nurses in China and provide a reference for the training and employment of nursing talents. Methods Literature about clinical research nurses published from the year of database construction to 2020 were searched through the CNKI, Wanfang, Chinese Biomedical Literature (CBM) and Weipu (VIP) databases, and CiteSpace software was used to conduct a multidimensional analysis of the included literature. Results A total of 3,735 pieces of literature were retrieved, and after deduplication and screening, 199 pieces of literature were finally retained for this study. The practice and exploration of CRNs were regionalised, with varying degrees of development, and CRNs were at the forefront of development in oncology specialties. Conclusion It is important to continue to expand the breadth and depth of researchto promote the continuous development of China’s medical and health care to align with international standards.
