Abstract:The light cone QCD sum rules are derived for the K*K pi coupling gK*K pi and the rho pi pi coupling g rho pi pi. The contribution from the excited states and the continuum is subtracted cleanly through the double Borel transform with respect to the two external momenta, p(1)(2) p(2)(2) = (p-q)(2). Our result gK*K pi = (8.7 +/- 0.5) and g(rho pi pi) = (11.5 +/- 0.8) is in good agreement with the experimental value.
Analysis of the strong vertices of $Σ_{c}ΔD^{*}$ and $Σ_{b}ΔB^{*}$ in QCD sum rules

Abstract:In this work, we analyze the strong vertices $\Sigma_{c}\Delta D^{*}$ and $\Sigma_{b}\Delta B^{*}$ using the three-point QCD sum rules under the tensor structures $i\epsilon^{\rho\tau\alpha\beta}p_{\alpha}p'_{\beta}$, $p^{\rho}p'^{\tau}$ and $p^{\rho}p^{\tau}$. We firstly calculate the momentum dependent strong coupling constants $g(Q^{2})$ by considering contributions of the perturbative part and the condensate terms $\langle\overline{q}q\rangle$, $\langle g_{s}^{2}GG \rangle$, $\langle\overline{q}g_{s}\sigma Gq\rangle$ and $\langle\overline{q}q\rangle^{2}$. By fitting these coupling constants into analytical functions and extrapolating them into time-like regions, we then obtain the on-shell values of strong coupling constants for these vertices. The results are $g_{1\Sigma_{c}\Delta D^{*}}=5.13^{+0.39}_{-0.49}$ GeV$^{-1}$, $g_{2\Sigma_{c}\Delta D^{*}}=-3.03^{+0.27}_{-0.35}$ GeV$^{-2}$, $g_{3\Sigma_{c}\Delta D^{*}}=17.64^{+1.51}_{-1.95}$ GeV$^{-2}$, $g_{1\Sigma_{b}\Delta B^{*}}=20.97^{+2.15}_{-2.39}$ GeV$^{-1}$, $g_{2\Sigma_{b}\Delta B^{*}}=-11.42^{+1.17}_{-1.28}$ GeV$^{-2}$ and $g_{3\Sigma_{b}\Delta B^{*}}=24.87^{+2.57}_{-2.82}$ GeV$^{-2}$. These strong coupling constants are important parameters which can help us to understand the strong decay behaviors of hadrons.

SU(3)-symmetry Breaking Effects and Mass Splitting in Scalar and Pseudoscalar D Mesons from QCD Sum Rules

Abstract:Motivated by the similar mass splitting in light-light and heavy-light J(P) = 0(-) and J(P) = 0(+) mesons, the SU(3)-symmetry breaking effects splitting the masses in the 0(-) and 0(+) channels of the D meson are analyzed in the framework of QCD sum rules with an underlying c (q) over bar structure. We take into account operator mixing to obtain an infrared stable operator-product expansion method including complete nonperturbative and perturbative O(m(q)) corrections to the correlation function. With the same threshold for both channels, the mass splitting arising from the sum rules has the same behavior as the observed spectrum. In particular, we obtain m(Ds) - m(Dd) similar to 35 MeV in the 0(-) channel and m(Dd) - m(Ds) similar to 12 MeV in the 0(+) channel at a renormalization scale mu = 1 GeV. The splitting can be attributed to the different roles of mass effects and the parity-dependent "force" induced from nonperturbative QCD vacuum. Further analysis shows that due to this parity-dependent force it is natural that the mass gap of the two states in the 0(-) channel is larger than the 0(+) channel. When we increase the renormalization scale to mu = 1: 3 GeV the splitting remains unchanged which demonstrates a correct scale invariance. Combined with heavy quark effective theory, generalizations to other channels of charmed mesons and b-systems are briefly discussed.

Abstract:The coupling constant of a0-->rho-gamma and f0-->rho-gamma decays are calculated using 3-point sum rule. We estimate the coupling constant g_a0-rho-gamma and g_f0-rho-gamma which are an essential ingredient in the analysis of physical processes involving isoscalar f0(980) and isovector a0(980) mesons.

The coupling constants are calculated, when both the B$_{s0}$(B$_{s1}$) and K states are off-shell. Considering the $SU_f(3)$ symmetry, the results are compared with the existing predictions.

Abstract:In this work, we study the four form-factors $f_1(Q^2)$, $f_2(Q^2)$, $g_1(Q^2)$ and $g_2(Q^2)$ of the $\Sigma \to n$ in the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rules approach up to twist-6 three valence quark light-cone distribution amplitudes. The $f_1(0)$ is the basic input parameter in extracting the CKM matrix element $|V_{us}|$ from the hyperon decays. The four form-factors $f_1(Q^2)$, $f_2(Q^2)$, $g_1(Q^2)$ and $g_2(Q^2)$ at intermediate and large momentum transfers with $Q^2> 3 GeV^2$ have significant contributions from the end-point (soft) terms. The numerical values of the four form-factors $f_1(0)$, $f_2(0)$, $g_1(0)$ and $g_2(0)$ are compatible with the experimental data and theoretical calculations (in magnitude); although the uncertainties are large.

Abstract:A bstract We revisit the calculation of the strong couplings D ∗ Dπ and B ∗ Bπ from the QCD light-cone sum rules using the pion light-cone distribution amplitudes. The accuracy of the correlation function, calculated from the operator product expansion near the light-cone, is upgraded by taking into account the gluon radiative corrections to the twist-3 terms. The double spectral density of the correlation function, including the twist-2, 3 terms at $$ \mathcal{O}\left({\alpha}_s\right) $$ O α s and the twist-4 LO terms, is presented in an analytical form for the first time. This form allows us to use various versions of the quark-hadron duality regions in the double dispersion relation underlying the sum rules. We predict $$ {g}_{D^{\ast } D\pi}={14.1}_{-1.2}^{+1.3} $$ g D ∗ Dπ = 14.1 − 1.2 + 1.3 and $$ {g}_{B^{\ast } B\pi}={30.0}_{-2.4}^{+2.6} $$ g B ∗ Bπ = 30.0 − 2.4 + 2.6 when the decay constants of heavy mesons entering the light-cone sum rule are taken from lattice QCD results. We compare our results with the experimental value for the charmed meson coupling and with the lattice QCD calculations.

Abstract:We present an improved calculation of the $D_{(s)}^*D_{(s)}V$ and $B_{(s)}^*B_{(s)}V$ coupling constants, where $V$ denotes $\rho$, $K^\ast$, $\omega$, and $\phi$ meson. These couplings govern the QCD long-distance dynamics in interactions between heavy pseudoscalar/vector mesons and light vector mesons. Our analysis is conducted within the framework of QCD light-cone sum rules (LCSRs) by utilizing the light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of light vector mesons. By systematically incorporating the subleading power corrections and higher-twist contributions at leading order (LO) and including the next-to-leading order (NLO) corrections at leading power, we achieve enhanced accuracy in the light-cone operator product expansion (OPE) for the underlying correlation function. In assessing the reliability of the established LCSRs, we consider uncertainties arising from the choice of the quark-hadron duality region in the double dispersion relation. Building upon these improvements, we accomplish an optimized computation and analysis for the strong coupling constants $g_{H^\ast HV}$ which are used to extract the effective coupling $\lambda$ in the heavy meson chiral perturbation theory (HM$\chi$PT). Furthermore, we investigate the $SU(3)$ flavour symmetry breaking effects in detail and compare our sum rule calculations with previous studies in an exploratory way.

Abstract:We use the method of QCD sum rules to investigate the isospin symmetry breaking of K and K-* mesons. The electromagnetic effect, difference between up and down current-quark masses and difference between up and down quark condensates are important. We perform sum rule analyses of their masses and decay constant differences, which are consistent with experimental values. Our results yield Delta f(K)=f(K)(0)-f(K)(+/-)=1.5 MeV.
Q(2)-Dependence Of The Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn Sum Rule

Abstract:We test the Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn (GDH) sum rule numerically by calculating the total photon absorption cross sections sigma(1/2) and sigma(3/2) on the nucleon via photon excitation of baryon resonances in the constituent quark model. A total of seventeen, low-lying, non-strange baryon resonances are included in this calculation. The transverse and longitudinal interference cross section, sigma(1/2)(TL), is found to play an important role in the study of the Q(2) variation of the sum rule. The results show that the GDH sum rule is saturated by these resonances at a confidence level of 94%. In particular, the P-33(1232) excitation largely saturates the sum rule at Q(2) = 0, and dominates at small Q(2). The GDH integral has a strong Q(2)-dependence below Q(2) = 1.0GeV(2) and changes its sign around Q(2) = 0.3GeV(2). It becomes weakly Q2-dependence for Q(2) > 1.0GeV(2) because of the quick decline of resonance contributions.

Abstract:New relations between QCD Borel sum rules for magnetic moments of Sigma^0 and Lambda hyperons are constructed. It is shown that starting from the sum rule for the Sigma^0 hyperon magnetic moment it is straightforward to obtain the corresponding sum rule for the Lambda hyperon magnetic moment et vice versa.

Abstract:In a recent letter [Phys. Rev. Lett. 108, 172003 (2012), <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1109.2480" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1109.2480">arXiv:1109.2480</a>] we have reported on a lattice QCD calculation of the heavy-hadron axial couplings $g_1$, $g_2$, and $g_3$. These quantities are low-energy constants of heavy-hadron chiral perturbation theory (HH$\chi$PT) and are related to the $B^*B\pi$, $\Sigma_b^*\Sigma_b\pi$, and $\Sigma_b^{(*)}\Lambda_b\pi$ couplings. In the following, we discuss important details of the calculation and give further results. To determine the axial couplings, we explicitly match the matrix elements of the axial current in QCD with the corresponding matrix elements in HH$\chi$PT. We construct the ratios of correlation functions used to calculate the matrix elements in lattice QCD, and study the contributions from excited states. We present the complete numerical results and discuss the data analysis in depth. In particular, we demonstrate the convergence of $SU(4|2)$ HH$\chi$PT for the axial-current matrix elements at pion masses up to about 400 MeV and show the impact of the nonanalytic loop contributions. Finally, we present additional predictions for strong and radiative decay widths of charm and bottom baryons.

Abstract:We shortly review some applications of the (inverse) Laplace (LSR) transform sum rules in Quantum ChromoDynamics (QCD) for extracting the fundamental QCD parameters (coupling constant $\alpha_s$, quark and gluon condensates) and the hadron properties (masses and decay constants). Links of LSR to some other forms of QCD spectral sum rules are also discussed. As prototype examples, we discuss in detail the $\rho$ and $\pi$ meson sum rules.

Abstract:In this article, we calculate the vector form factors $f^+_{K\pi}(Q^2)$ and $f^-_{K\pi}(Q^2)$ within the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rules approach. The numerical values of the $f^+_{K\pi}(Q^2)$ are compatible with the existing theoretical calculations, the central value of the $f^+_{K\pi}(0)$, $f^+_{K\pi}(0)=0.97$, is in excellent agreement with the values from the chiral perturbation theory and lattice QCD. The values of the $|f^-_{K\pi}(0)|$ are very large comparing with the theoretical calculations and experimental data, and can not give any reliable predictions. At large momentum transfers with $Q^2> 5GeV^2$, the form factors $f^+_{K\pi}(Q^2)$ and $|f^-_{K\pi}(Q^2)|$ can either take up the asymptotic behavior of $\frac{1}{Q^2}$ or decrease more quickly than $\frac{1}{Q^2}$, more experimental data are needed to select the ideal sum rules.
$\rm{SU}(3)_F$ sum rules for CP asymmetry of $D_{(s)}$ decays

Abstract:Charge-parity (CP) asymmetries in charm decays are extremely suppressed in the Standard Model and may well be dominated by new-physics contributions. The LHCb collaboration reported the results of direct CP asymmetry measurements in $D^0\to K^+ K^-$ and $D^0\to \pi^+\pi^-$ decays with unprecedented accuracy: $a_{\rm{CP}}(K^+ K^-)=(7.7\pm5.7)\times 10^{-4}$ and $a_{\rm{CP}}(\pi^+\pi^-)=(23.2\pm6.1)\times 10^{-4}$, with the latter quantity inferred from the precise measurement of $\Delta a_{\rm{CP}} =\, a_{\rm{CP}}(K^+ K^-) -a_{\rm{CP}}(\pi^+\pi^-) =\, (-15.7\pm2.9)\times 10^{-4}$. When interpreted within the Standard Model, these values indicate a breakdown of the approximate $U$-spin symmetry of QCD. If, however, this symmetry holds and the data stem from new physics, other CP asymmetries should be enhanced as well. We derive CP asymmetry sum rules based on $\rm{SU}(3)$ flavor symmetry for $D$ meson decays into a pair of pseudoscalar mesons as well as a pair of a pseudoscalar and a vector meson for two generic scenarios, with $\Delta U=0$ and $|\Delta U|=1$ interactions, respectively. The correlations implied by the sum rules can be used to check the consistency between different measurements and to discriminate between these scenarios with future data. For instance, we find $a_{\mathrm{CP}}(\pi^{+}K^{* 0}) + a_{\mathrm{CP}}(K^{+}\overline{K}^{* 0}) = 0$ for $\Delta U=0$ new physics and the opposite relative sign for the $|\Delta U|=1$ case. One sum rule, connecting four decay modes, holds in both scenarios. We further extend our sum rules to certain differences of CP asymmetries from which the $D$ production asymmetries drop out.

Revisiting $K_1(1270)- K_1(1400)$ mixing in QCD sum rules

Abstract:We investigate the $K_1(1270)-K_1(1400)$ mixing caused by the flavor $SU(3)$ symmetry breaking. The mixing angle is expressed by a $K_{1A}\to K_{1B}$ matrix element induced by the operators that breaks flavor $SU(3)$ symmetry. The QCD contribution to this matrix element is assumed to be dominated and calculated by QCD sum rules. A three-point correlation function is defined and handled both at the hadron and quark-gluon levels. The quark-gluon level calculation is based on operator product expansion up to dimension-5 condensates. A detailed numerical analysis is performed to determine the Borel parameters, and the obtained mixing angle is $\theta_{K_1}=22^{\circ}\pm 7^{\circ}$ or $\theta_{K_1}=68^{\circ}\pm 7^{\circ}$.

Abstract:QCD sum rules are employed to determine whether the $X(3872)$ can be described as a mixed state that couples to ${J}^{PC}={1}^{++}$ charmonium hybrid and $\overline{D}{D}^{*}$ molecular currents. After calculating the mixed correlator of hybrid and molecular currents, we formulate the sum rule in terms of a mixing parameter that interpolates between the pure molecular and hybrid scenarios. As the mixing parameter is increased from the pure molecular case, the predicted mass increases until it reaches a maximum value in good agreement with the $X(3872)$ and the resulting sum-rule analysis appears more robust than the pure molecular case.
Chiral Corrections to the Gell-Mann-Oakes-Renner Relation from QCD Sum Rules

Abstract:We calculate the next-to-leading order corrections to the $SU(2)\otimes SU(2)$ and $SU(3)\otimes SU(3)$ Gell-Mann-Oakes-Renner relations. We use a pseudoscalar correlator calculated from Perturbative QCD up to five loops and use the QCD Finite Energy Sum Rules with integration kernels tuned to suppress the importance of the hadronic resonances. This leads to a substantial reduction in the systematic uncertainties from the experimentally unknown resonance spectral function. We use the method of Fixed Order and Fixed Renormalization Scale Perturbation Theory to compute the integrals. We calculate these corrections to be $\delta_\pi = 0.060 \pm 0.014$ and $\delta _K =0.64 \pm 0.24$. As a result of these new values, we predict the value of the light quark condensate $\left\langle {0|\bar qq|0} \right\rangle = - \left( {266 \pm 5{\text{ MeV}}} \right)^3$ and the Chiral Perturbation Theory low energy constant $H_2^r = - \left( {4.9 \pm 1.8} \right) \times 10^{ - 3}$.
