Abstract:We present a generalization of the master solution to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation (obtained recently in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1006.0651" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1006.0651">arXiv:1006.0651</a>) to the case of multi-component continuous spin variables taking values on a circle. The Boltzmann weights are expressed in terms of the elliptic gamma-function. The associated solvable lattice model admits various equivalent descriptions, including an interaction-round-a-face formulation with positive Boltzmann weights. In the quasi-classical limit the model leads to a new series of classical discrete integrable equations on planar graphs.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to study the solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation in the endomorphism semigroup of the tensor product of a vector space. As preparation, we introduce the concepts of quasi-braided almost bialgebra (see also [10]) and quasi-cobraided almost bialgebra, and discuss some of their properties. In particular, it is shown that the quasi-R-matrix R of every quasi-braided almost weak Hopf algebra is regular under von Neumann's meaning. The solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation in the endomorphism semigroups are constructed respectively from every quasi-braided almost bialgebra and every quasi-cobraided almost bialgebra. As examples, we explain how to build solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation from some weak Hopf algebras and all Clifford monoids. Finally, the FRT construction is given so-as to build every solution of the Yang-Baxter equation from a quasi-cobraided bialgebra.

Abstract:On the basis of weight conservation of the A(n) case, Yang-Baxter relations are solved without the assumption that the upper-left triangle of each sub-block of S matrix vanishes. A family of braid group representations having no transpose symmetry are obtained and shown to construct link polynomials. Finally, a sequence of solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation with multiparameters are obtained via the Yang-Baxterization procedure.

Abstract:We propose commuting sets of matrix-valued difference operators in terms of trigonometric ${\rm GL}(N|M)$-valued $R$-matrices thus providing quantum supersymmetric (and possibly anisotropic) spin Ruijsenaars-Macdonald operators. Two types of trigonometric supersymmetric $R$-matrices are used for this purpose. The first is the one related to the affine quantized algebra ${\hat{\mathcal U}}_q({\rm gl}(N|M))$. The second is a graded version of the standard $\mathbb Z_n$-invariant $A_{n-1}$ type $R$-matrix. We show that being properly normalized the latter graded $R$-matrix satisfies the associative Yang-Baxter equation. Next, we discuss construction of long-range spin chains using the Polychronakos freezing trick. As a result we obtain a new family of spin chains, which extends the ${\rm gl}(N|M)$-invariant Haldane-Shastry spin chain to q-deformed case with possible presence of anisotropy.

Abstract:How to give the set-solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation is an important subject[1]. The aim of this paper is to study this subject under inverse semigroups. For an inverse semigroup S and a map R:S × S→S×S, we give a sufficient and necessary condition for R to be a solution of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation, and then for the case of Clifford semigroups, four set-solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation are obtained. The solutions of the equation under the meaning of groups are generalized. This is an improvement of the study on Drinfeld problem.
A queer Kac-Moody construction

Abstract:We introduce a new, Kac-Moody-flavoured construction for Lie superalgebras, which seeks to incorporate phenomena of the queer Lie superalgebra. The idea of the generalization is to replace the maximal torus by a maximal quasitoral subalgebra, which has the representation theory of a family of (degenerate) Clifford superalgebras. Remarkably, we find that the theory is quite rigid, and a natural class of Lie superalgebras becomes apparent, which we call queer Kac-Moody algebras. We classify finite growth queer Kac-Moody algebras, which includes an $\mathfrak{so}(3)$-superconformal algebra, and give a new perspective on the distinctiveness of the queer Lie superalgebra.

Folding of the Triangular Lattice in the FCC Lattice with Quenched Random Spontaneous Curvature

Abstract:We study the folding of the regular two-dimensional triangular lattice embedded in the regular three-dimensional Face Centered Cubic lattice, in the presence of quenched random spontaneous curvature. We consider two types of quenched randomness: (1) a ``physical'' randomness arising from a prior random folding of the lattice, creating a prefered spontaneous curvature on the bonds; (2) a simple randomness where the spontaneous curvature is chosen at random independently on each bond. We study the folding transitions of the two models within the hexagon approximation of the Cluster Variation Method. Depending on the type of randomness, the system shows different behaviors. We finally discuss a Hopfield-like model as an extension of the physical randomness problem to account for the case where several different configurations are stored in the prior pre-folding process.

Some multiplication formulas in queer $q$-Schur superalgebras

Abstract:Building on the work [18], where some standard basis for the queer $q$-Schur superalgebra $\mathcal{Q}_q(n,r;R)$ is defined by a labelling set of matrices and their associated double coset representatives, we investigate the matrix representation of the regular module of $\mathcal{Q}_q(n,r;R)$ with respect to this basis. More precisely, we derive explicitly (resp., partial explicitly) the multiplication formulas of the basis elements by certain even (resp., odd) generators of a queer $q$-Schur superalgebra. These multiplication formulas are highly technical to derive, especially in the odd case. It requires to discover many multiplication (or commutation) formulas in the Hecke--Clifford algebra $\mathcal{H}_{r,R}^c$ associated with the labelling matrices. For example, for a given such a labelling matrix $A^{\!\star}$, there are several matrices $w(A)$, $\sigma(A), \widetilde A$, and $\widehat A$ associated with the base matrix $A$ of $A^{\!\star}$, where $w(A)$ is used to compute a reduced expression of the distinguished double coset representatives $d_A$, and the other matrices are used to describe the permutation $d_A$ and the SDP (commutation) condition between $T_{d_A}$ and generators of the Clifford subsuperalgebra. With these multiplication formulas, we will construct a new realisation of the quantum queer supergroup in a forthcoming paper [13], and to give new applications to the integral Schur--Olshanski duality and its associated representation theory at roots of unity.

Abstract:In 1992 V.Drinfeld formulated a number of problems in quantum group theory. In particular, he suggested to consider ``set-theoretical'' solutions to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation, i.e. solutions given by a permutation R of the set $X\times X$, where X is a fixed set. In this paper we study such solutions, which in addition satisfy the unitarity and nondegeneracy conditions. We discuss the geometric and algebraic interpretations of such solutions, introduce several constructions of them, and make first steps towards their classification.

Abstract:In this paper, we complete the classification of 4 x 4 solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. Regular solutions were recently classified and in this paper we find the remaining non-regular solutions. We present several new solutions, then consider regular and non-regular Lax operators and study their relation to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation. We show that for regular solutions there is a correspondence, which is lost in the non-regular case. In particular, we find non-regular Lax operators whose R-matrix from the fundamental commutation relations is regular but does not satisfy the Yang-Baxter equation. These R-matrices satisfy a modified Yang-Baxter equation instead.

Abstract:We derive new holonomic q-difference equations for the matrix coefficients of the products of intertwining operators for quantum affine algebra U(q)(g) representations of level k. We study the connection operators between the solutions with different asymptotics and show that they are given by products of elliptic theta functions. We prove that the connection operators automatically provide elliptic solutions of Yang-Baxter equations in the "face" formulation for any type of Lie algebra g and arbitrary finite-dimensional representations of U(q)(g). We conjecture that these solutions of the Yang-Baxter equations cover all elliptic solutions known in the contexts of IRF models of statistical mechanics. We also conjecture that in a special limit when q --> 1 these solutions degenerate again into U(q')(g) solutions with q' = exp[GRAPHICS]We also study the simplest examples of solutions of our holonomic difference equations associated to U(q)(sl(2)) and find their expressions in terms of basic (or q-)-hypergeometric series. In the special case of spin -1/2 representations, we demonstrate that the connection matrix yields a famous Baxter solution of the Yang-Baxter equation corresponding to the solid-on-solid model of statistical mechanics.
Post-groupoids and quiver-theoretical solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation

Abstract:The notion of post-groups was introduced by Bai, Guo and the first two authors recently, which are the global objects corresponding to post-Lie algebras, equivalent to skew-left braces, and can be used to construct set-theoretical solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. In this paper, first we introduce the notion of post-groupoids, which consists of a group bundle and some other structures satisfying some compatibility conditions. Post-groupoids reduce to post-groups if the underlying base is one point. An action of a group on a set gives rise to the natural example of post-groupoids. We show that a post-groupoid gives rise to a groupoid (called the Grossman-Larson groupoid), and an action on the original group bundle. Then we introduce the notion of relative Rota-Baxter operators on a groupoid with respect to an action on a group bundle. A relative Rota-Baxter operator naturally gives rise to a post-groupoid and a matched pair of groupoids. One important application of post-groupoids is that they give rise to quiver-theoretical solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation on the quiver underlying the Grossman-Larson groupoid. We also introduce the notion of a skew-left bracoid, which consists of a group bundle and a groupoid satisfying some compatibility conditions. A skew-left bracoid reduces to a skew-left brace if the underlying base is one point. We give the one-to-one correspondence between post-groupoids and skew-left bracoids. Finally, we show that post-Lie groupoids give rise to post-Lie algebroids via differentiation.

Constructing the quantum queer supergroup using Hecke-Clifford superalgebras

Abstract:In [DGLW], we use certain special elements and their commutation relations in the Hecke-Clifford algebras $H^c_{r,R}$ to derive some fundamental multiplication formulas associated with the natural bases in queer $q$-Schur superalgebras $Q_q(n,r;R)$ introduced in [DW2]. Here a natural basis element is defined by a special element $T_{A^{\star}}$ in $H^c_{r,R}$ associated with a pair of certain $n\times n$ matrices $A^{\star}=(A^{\bar0}|A^{\bar1})$ over $\mathbb{N}$ with entries sum to $r$. The definition of $T_{A^\star}$ consists of an element $c_{A^{\star}}$ in the Clifford superalgebra and an element $T_A$ in the Hecke algebra, where $A=A^{\bar0}+A^{\bar1}$. Note that all $T_A$ can be used to define the natural basis for the corresponding $q$-Schur algebra $S_q(n,r)$. This paper is a continuation of [DGLW]. We start with standardized queer $v$-Schur superalgebras $ Q^s_v(n,r)$, for $R=\mathbb{Z}[v,v^{-1}]$ and $q=v^2$, and their natural bases. With the $v$-Schur algebra ${ S}_v(n,r)$ at the background, the first key ingredient is a standardisation of the natural basis for $Q^s_v(n,r)$ and their associated standard multiplication formulas. By introducing some long elements of finite sums, we then extend the formulas to these long elements which allow us to explicitly define $\mathbb{Q}(v)$-superalgebra homomorphisms $\xi_{n,r}$ from the quantum queer supergroup $\boldsymbol{U}_v(\mathfrak{q}_n)$ to queer $q$-Schur superalgebras $\boldsymbol{Q}^s_v(n,r)$, for all $r\geq1$. Finally, taking limits of long elements yields certain infinitely long elements as formal infinite series which eventually lead to a new construction for $\boldsymbol{U}_v(\mathfrak{q}_n)$.

Abstract:In this paper, first we introduce the notion of a post-Hopf algebra, which gives rise to a post-Lie algebra on the space of primitive elements and there is naturally a post-Hopf algebra structure on the universal enveloping algebra of a post-Lie algebra. A novel property is that a cocommutative post-Hopf algebra gives rise to a generalized Grossman-Larsson product, which leads to a subadjacent Hopf algebra and can be used to construct solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. Then we introduce the notion of relative Rota-Baxter operators on Hopf algebras. A cocommutative post-Hopf algebra gives rise to a relative Rota-Baxter operator on its subadjacent Hopf algebra. Conversely, a relative Rota-Baxter operator also induces a post-Hopf algebra. Then we show that relative Rota-Baxter operators give rise to matched pairs of Hopf algebras. Consequently, post-Hopf algebras and relative Rota-Baxter operators give solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation in certain cocommutative Hopf algebras. Finally we characterize relative Rota-Baxter operators on Hopf algebras using relative Rota-Baxter operators on the Lie algebra of primitive elements, graphs and module bialgebra structures.

Abstract:A general system of particles (of one or several species) on a one dimensional lattice with boundaries is considered. Two general behaviors of such systems are investigated. The stationary behavior of the system, and the dominant way of the relaxation of the system toward its stationary system. Bases on the first behavior, static phase transitions (discontinuous changes in the stationary profiles of the system) are studied. Based on the second behavior, dynamical phase transitions (discontinuous changes in the relaxation-times of the system) are studied. The investigation is specialized on systems in which the evolution equation of one-point functions are closed (the autonomous systems).

Abstract:At the previous congress (CRM 6), we reviewed the construction of Yang-Baxter operators from associative algebras, and presented some (colored) bialgebras and Yang-Baxter systems related to them. The current talk deals with Yang-Baxter operators from (G, \theta)-Lie algebras (structures which unify the Lie algebras and the Lie superalgebras). Thus, we produce solutions for the constant and the spectral-parameter Yang-Baxter equations, Yang-Baxter systems, etc. Attempting to present the general framework we review the work of other authors and we propose problems, applications and directions of study.
