Abstract:In this short note, we give two-line proofs for main results in "Semistable torsion classes and canonical decompositions" by Asai-Iyama from a main result in "Tropical $F$-polynomials and general presentations", which appeared on the math arXiv 2 years earlier.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to simplify and clarify the research on semistable torsion classes and canonical decompositions. Specifically, the author Jiarui Fei re - examines and simplifies the main conclusions proposed by Asai and Iyama in [AI] by referring to previous work (especially the results in [Ft]). The following are the core problems of this paper and their solutions: 1. **Simplifying the Proofs**: - The author points out that by using the main results in [Ft], the proofs of some theorems in [AI] can be greatly simplified. For example, Theorem 3.2, Theorem 3.3 and Theorem 3.5 can be quickly proved by directly applying the results in [Ft]. - Specifically, Theorem 3.3 has actually been proved in [Ft] and is a simple corollary directly derived from Theorem 2.2. 2. **Clarifying Concepts**: - The paper also clarifies some concepts and technical details. For example, the author points out that the morphisms torsion pairs introduced in [AI] are different from the definitions in previous literature, but they play the same role in practical applications. - In addition, the author points out that the so - called "ray condition" was actually proposed in the form of "homogeneity" by Derksen and Weyman in [DW1], and Schofield has proved that hereditary algebras satisfy this condition. 3. **Historical Background and Contributions**: - The author emphasizes some historical background, pointing out that some concepts and results had been studied before [AI]. For example, the torsion theory related to pre - tilting 2 - term complexes had been explored in [HKM]. - These clarifications help to more accurately evaluate the contributions of [AI] and avoid repeating existing work. ### Summary The main purpose of this paper is to simplify and clarify the research on semistable torsion classes and canonical decompositions by Asai and Iyama in [AI] by referring to and applying previous research results. In this way, the author not only simplifies the proof process, but also clarifies some concepts and technical details, enabling researchers in related fields to better understand and apply these results. ### Related Formulas Some of the key formulas involved in the paper are as follows: - **Tropical F - polynomial**: \[ f_M(\delta)=\max_{L\hookrightarrow M}(\dim L)\cdot\delta \] \[ \check{f}_M(\delta)=\max_{M\twoheadrightarrow N}(\dim N)\cdot\delta \] - **Homomorphism and Extension Dimensions**: \[ \text{hom}(n\delta, M)=f_M(n\delta) \] \[ e(n\delta, M)=\check{f}_M(-n\delta) \] These formulas are very important for understanding the proofs and concepts in the paper.
