Abstract:We study the Calabi Yau equation on symplectic manifolds. We show that Donaldson's conjecture on estimates for this equation in terms of a taming symplectic form can be reduced to an integral estimate of a scalar potential function. Under a positive curvature condition, we show that the conjecture holds.

Abstract:We give two applications of the Aleksandrov-Bakelman-Pucci estimate to the Calabi-Yau equation on symplectic four-manifolds. The first is solvability of the equation on the Kodaira-Thurston manifold for certain almost-Kahler structures assuming $S^1$-invariance, extending a result of Buzano-Fino-Vezzoni. The second is to reduce the general case of Donaldson's conjecture to a bound on the measure of a superlevel set of a scalar function.

Abstract:We prove the Yau-Tian-Donaldson conjecture for anyDOUBLE-STRUCK CAPITAL Q-Fano variety that has a log smooth resolution of singularities such that a negative linear combination of exceptional divisors is relatively ample and the discrepancies of all exceptional divisors are nonpositive. Abstract:We discuss a conjecture of Donaldson on a version of Yau's Theorem for symplectic forms with compatible almost complex structures and survey some recent progress on this problem. We also speculate on some future possible directions, and use a monotonicity formula for harmonic maps to obtain a new local estimate in the setting of Donaldson's conjecture.

Abstract:The 1950s belong to one of the most glorious decades for geometry and topology.A group of young mathematicians established a wealth of great theorems, made ground breaking discoveries, and created a new era in mathematics.These men leave their names in the history of mathematics.Hodge theory was just completed by Weyl and Kodaira in 1941.By exploiting the Chern characteristic classes introduced by Shiing-Shen Chern, Hirzebruch proved the signature theorem and the Hirzebruch-Riemann-Roch theorem in algebraic geometry in 1956.The engineer-turn-mathematician Bott proved the periodicity theorem on homotopy groups.These results would soon inspire Atiyah and Singer to prove their index theorem.Serre calculated the homotopy groups of spheres in algebraic topology using Leray spectral sequence, wrote the famous GAGA in algebraic geometry using sheaf theory, and systematically introduced complex analysis to algebraic geometry.Kodaira proved his famous embedding theorem, and developed deformation theory of complex manifolds.Later, Milnor found the first exotic sphere in dimension 7 and Nash proved his isometric embedding theorem for Riemannian manifolds.These great results are like stars shining in the sky.On Amsterdam's 1954 International Congress of Mathematicians, Kodaira and Serre were awarded Fields medals.Both of their works merged complex analysis, differential geometry and algebraic geometry in a miraculous fashion.As Weyl said in his famous encomium: "You reached heights of which I never dreamt… It shows that the old gnarled tree of mathematics is still full of sap and life."On the very occasion, Eugenio Calabi, a 31-year-old Italian-American mathematician, wrote down his famous conjecture on a sheet of paper during his talk, "For any (1,1)-form R in the first Chern class of a compact Kähler manifold, there exists a unique Kähler metric whose Ricci form is equal to R." Abstract:In this paper we first study the moduli spaces related to Calabi-Yau manifolds. We then apply the results to the following problem. Let $C$ be a fixed Riemann surface with fixed finite number of points on it. Given a CY manifold with fixed topological type, we consider the set of all families of CY manifolds of the fixed topological type over $C$ with degenerate fibres over the fixed points up to isomorphism. This set is called Shafarevich set. The analogue of Shafarevich conjecture for CY manifolds is for which topological types of CY the Shafarevich set is finite. It is well-known that the analogue of Shafarevich conjecture is closely related to the study of the moduli space of polarized CY manifolds and the moduli space of the maps of fixed Riemann surface to the coarse moduli space of the CY manifolds. We prove the existence of the Teichmüller space of CY manifolds together with a universal family of marked CY manifolds. From this result we derive the existence of a finite cover of the coarse moduli space which is a non-singular quasi-projective manifold. Over this cover we construct a family of polarized CY manifolds. We study the moduli space of maps of the fixed Riemann with fixed points on it to the moduli space of CY manifolds constructed in the paper such that the maps map the fixed points on the Riemann surface to the discriminant locus. If this moduli space of maps is finite then Shafarevich conjecture holds. We relate the analogue of Shafarevich problem to the non-vanishing of the Yukawa coupling. We give also a counter example of the Shafarevich problem for a class of CY manifolds.
Quantum Correction and the Moduli Spaces of Calabi-Yau Manifolds

Abstract: We define the quantum correction of the Teichm\"uller space $\mathcal{T}$ of Calabi-Yau manifolds. Under the assumption of no weak quantum correction, we prove that the Teichm\"uller space $\mathcal{T}$ is a locally symmetric space with the Weil-Petersson metric. For Calabi-Yau threefolds, we show that no strong quantum correction is equivalent to that, with the Hodge metric, the image $ \Phi(\mathcal{T})$ of the Teichm\"uller space $\mathcal{T}$ under the period map $\Phi$ is an open submanifold of a globally Hermitian symmetric space $W$ of the same dimension as $\mathcal{T}$. Finally, for Hyperk\"ahler manifold of dimension $2n \geq 4$, we find both locally and globally defined families of $(2,0)$ and $(2n,0)$-classes over the Teichm\"uller space of polarized Hyperk\"ahler manifolds.
Bergman Kernels of the Cheng-Yau metrics on quasi-projective manifolds

Abstract:We show the asymptotics of the Bergman kernel function near the smooth divisor at infinity of the Cheng-Yau metric on quasi-projective manifolds. In particular, we show that there is a quantum phenomenon for the points very close to the divisor at infinity.

Abstract:Let $X$ be a complex projective variety with only canonical singularities and with trivial canonical bundle. Let $L$ be an ample line bundle on $X$. Assume that the pair $(X,L)$ is the flat limit of a family of smooth polarized Calabi-Yau manifolds. Assume that for each singular point $x \in X$ there exist a Kahler-Einstein Fano manifold $Z$ and a positive integer $q$ dividing $K_Z$ such that $-\frac{1}{q}K_Z$ is very ample and such that the germ $(X,x)$ is locally analytically isomorphic to a neighborhood of the vertex of the blow-down of the zero section of $\frac{1}{q}K_{Z}$. We prove that up to biholomorphism, the unique weak Ricci-flat Kahler metric representing $2\pi c_1(L)$ on $X$ is asymptotic at a polynomial rate near $x$ to the natural Ricci-flat Kahler cone metric on $\frac{1}{q}K_Z$ constructed using the Calabi ansatz. In particular, our result applies if $(X, \mathcal{O}(1))$ is a nodal quintic threefold in $\mathbb{P}^4$. This provides the first known examples of compact Ricci-flat manifolds with non-orbifold isolated conical singularities.

Abstract:We announce a proof of Calabi's conjectures on the Ricci curvature of a compact Kähler manifold and then apply it to prove some new results in algebraic geometry and differential geometry. For example, we prove that the only Kähler structure on a complex projective space is the standard one.

Abstract:We describe how to use the perturbation theory of Caffarelli to prove Evans–Krylov type C^2,α estimates for solutions of nonlinear elliptic equations in complex geometry, assuming a bound on the Laplacian of the solution. Our results can be used to replace the various Evans–Krylov type arguments in the complex geometry literature with a sharper and more unified approach. In addition, our methods extend to almost-complex manifolds, and we use this to obtain a new local estimate for an equation of Donaldson.
The generalized Kähler Calabi-Yau problem

Abstract:We formulate an extension of the Calabi conjecture to the setting of generalized Kähler geometry. We show a transgression formula for the Bismut Ricci curvature in this setting, which requires a new local Goto/Kodaira-Spencer deformation result, and use it to show that solutions of the generalized Calabi-Yau equation on compact manifolds are classically Kähler, Calabi-Yau, and furthermore unique in their generalized Kähler class. We show that the generalized Kähler-Ricci flow is naturally adapted to this conjecture, and exhibit a number of a priori estimates and monotonicity formulas which suggest global existence and convergence. For initial data in the generalized Kähler class of a Kähler Calabi-Yau structure we prove the flow exists globally and converges to this unique fixed point. This has applications to understanding the space of generalized Kähler structures, and as a special case yields the topological structure of natural classes of Hamiltonian symplectomorphisms on hyperKähler manifolds. In the case of commuting-type generalized Kähler structures we establish global existence and convergence with arbitrary initial data to a Kähler, Calabi-Yau metric, which yields a new $d d^c$-lemma for these structures.

Abstract:We consider a toric degeneration $\mathcal{X}$ of Calabi--Yau complete intersections of Batyrev--Borisov in the Gross--Siebert program. For the toric degeneration $\mathcal{X}$, we study the real Monge--Ampère equation corresponding to the non-archimedean Monge--Ampère equation that yields the non-archimedean Calabi--Yau metric. Our main theorem describes the real Monge--Ampère equation in terms of tropical geometry and proves the metric SYZ conjecture for the toric degeneration $\mathcal{X}$ supposing the existence of its solution.

Abstract:We discuss Donaldson-Thomas (DT) invariants of torsion sheaves with 2 dimensional support on a smooth projective surface in an ambient non-compact Calabi Yau fourfold given by the total space of a rank 2 bundle on the surface. We prove that in certain cases, when the rank 2 bundle is chosen appropriately, the universal truncated Atiyah class of these codimension 2 sheaves reduces to one, defined over the moduli space of such sheaves realized as torsion codimension 1 sheaves in a noncompact divisor (threefold) embedded in the ambient fourfold. Such reduction property of universal Atiyah class enables us to relate our fourfold DT theory to a reduced DT theory of a threefold and subsequently then to the moduli spaces of sheaves on the base surface using results in [15,16]. We finally make predictions about modularity of such fourfold invariants when the base surface is an elliptic K3. (C) 2020 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Abstract:We present new complete Calabi-Yau metrics defined on the complement of a smooth anticanonical divisor with ample normal bundle, approaching the Calabi model space at a polynomial rate. Moreover, we establish the uniqueness of this type of Calabi-Yau metric within a fixed cohomology class.

A Kodaira type conjecture on almost complex 4 manifolds

Abstract:Not long ago, Cirici and Wilson defined a Dolbeault cohomology on almost complex manifolds to answer Hirzebruch's problem. In this paper, we define a refined Dolbeault cohomology on almost complex manifolds. We show that the condition $\tilde h^{1,0}=\tilde h^{0,1}$ implies a symplectic structure on a compact almost complex $4$ manifold, where $\tilde h^{1,0}$ and $\tilde h^{0,1}$ are the dimensions of the refined Dolbeault cohomology groups with bi-degrees $(1,0)$ and $(0,1)$ respectively. Combining the partial answer to Donaldson's tameness conjecture, we offer a sufficient condition for a compact almost complex $4$ manifold to become an almost Kähler one.

Abstract:We prove the following result: if a Qdocumentclass[12pt]{minimal}usepackage{amsmath}usepackage{wasysym}usepackage{amsfonts}usepackage{amssymb}usepackage{amsbsy}usepackage{mathrsfs}usepackage{upgreek}setlength{oddsidemargin}{-69pt}egin{document}$$,,,,,{mathbb {Q}},,,,,$$end{document}-Fano variety is uniformly K-stable, then it admits a Kähler–Einstein metric. This proves the uniform version of Yau–Tian–Donaldson conjecture for all (singular) Fano varieties with discrete automorphism groups. We achieve this by modifying Berman–Boucksom–Jonsson’s strategy in the smooth case with appropriate perturbative arguments. This perturbation approach depends on the valuative criterion and non-Archimedean estimates, and is motivated by our previous paper.

Abstract:The estimate of integral points in an n-dimensional polyhedron has many applications in singularity theory, number theory and toric geometry. The third author formulated Yau Number Theoretic Conjecture which gives a sharp polynomial upper estimate on the number of positive integral points in n-dimensional (n >= 3) real right-angled simplices. The previous results on the conjecture in low dimension cases (n <= 6) have been proved by using the sharp GLY conjecture. However, it is only valid up to 6 dimension. The Yau Number Theoretic Conjecture for n = 7 has been shown with a completely new method in [22]. In this paper, on the one hand, we use similar method to prove the conjecture for n = 8 case, but with more meticulous analyses. The main method of proof is summing existing sharp upper bounds for the number of points in seven-dimensional simplex over the cross sections of eight-dimensional simplex. This is a significant progress since it sheds light on proving the Yau Number Theoretic Conjecture in general case. On the other hand, we give a new sharper estimate of the Dickman-De Bruijn function phi(x, y) for 5 <= y < 23, compared with the result obtained by Ennola [5].
