Abstract:This paper presents a study of the generalized Davis-Wielandt radius of Hilbert space operators. New lower bounds for the generalized Davis-Wielandt radius and numerical radius are provided. An alternative of the triangular inequality for operators is also derived.

Abstract:Consider $\mathcal{H}$ is a complex Hilbert space and $A$ is a positive operator on $\mathcal{H}.$ The mapping $\langle\cdot,\cdot\rangle_A: \mathcal{H}\times \mathcal{H} \to \mathbb {C}$, defined as $\left\langle y,z\right\rangle_{A}=\left\langle Ay,z\right\rangle $ for all $y,z$ $\in $ ${\mathcal{H}}$, induces a seminorm $ \left\Vert \cdot\right\Vert_{A}$. The $A$-Davis-Wielandt radius of an operator $S$ on $\mathcal{H}$ is defined as $d\omega_{A}\left( S\right) =\sup \left\{ \sqrt{\left\vert \left\langle Sz,z\right\rangle_{A}\right\vert ^{2}+\left\Vert Sz\right\Vert_{A}^{4}} :\left\Vert z\right\Vert_{A}=1\right\} \text{.} $ We investigate some new bounds for $d\omega_{A}\left( S\right)$ which refine the existing bounds. We also give some bounds for the $2\times 2$ off-diagonal block matrices.

Abstract:We generalize several inequalities involving powers of the numerical radius for product of two operators acting on a Hilbert space. For any $A, B, X\in \mathbb{B}(\mathscr{H})$ such that $A,B$ are positive, we establish some numerical radius inequalities for $A^\alpha XB^\alpha$ and $A^\alpha X B^{1-\alpha}\,\,(0 \leq \alpha \leq 1)$ and Heinz means under mild conditions.

Abstract:In this paper, we begin by showing a new generalization of the celebrated Cauchy-Schwarz inequality for the inner product. Then, this generalization is used to present some bounds for the Euclidean operator radius and the Euclidean operator norm. These bounds will be used then to obtain some bounds for the numerical radius in a way that extends many well-known results in many cases. The obtained results will be compared with the existing literature through numerical examples and rigorous approaches, whoever is applicable. In this context, more than 15 numerical examples will be given to support the advantage of our findings. Among many consequences, will show that if $T$ is an accretive-dissipative bounded linear operator on a Hilbert space, then ${{\left\| \left( \Re T,\Im T \right) \right\|}_{e}}=\omega \left( T \right)$, where $\omega(\cdot), \|(\cdot,\cdot)\|_e, \Re T$ and $\Im T$ denote, respectively, the numerical radius, the Euclidean norm, the real part and the imaginary part.

Abstract:Let $T$ be a bounded linear operator on a complex Hilbert space $\mathscr{H}.$ We obtain various lower and upper bounds for the numerical radius of $T$ by developing the Euclidean operator radius bounds of a pair of operators, which are stronger than the existing ones. In particular, we develop an inequality that improves on the inequality $$ w(T) \geq \frac12 {\|T\|}+\frac14 {\left|\|Re(T)\|-\frac12 \|T\| \right|} + \frac14 { \left| \|Im(T)\|-\frac12 \|T\| \right|}.$$ Various equality conditions of the existing numerical radius inequalities are also provided. Further, we study the numerical radius inequalities of $2\times 2$ off-diagonal operator matrices. Applying the numerical radius bounds of operator matrices, we develop the upper bounds of $w(T)$ by using $t$-Aluthge transform. In particular, we improve the well known inequality $$ w(T) \leq \frac12 {\|T\|}+ \frac12{ w(\widetilde{T})}, $$ where $\widetilde{T}=|T|^{1/2}U|T|^{1/2}$ is the Aluthge transform of $T$ and $T=U|T|$ is the polar decomposition of $T$.

With other numerical radius bounds via contraction operators, we show that $w(A) \leq w(\tilde{A}),$ where $\tilde{A}=[a_{ij}]$ is an $n\times n$ complex matrix with \begin{eqnarray*} a_{ij}=\begin{cases} w(A_{ii}) \quad \text{if } i=j\\ \underset{0\leq t \leq 1}{\min} \left\| |A_{ij}|^{2t} + |A_{ji}^*|^{2t} \right\|^{1/2} \left\| |A_{ij}^*|^{2(1-t)}+ |A_{ji}|^{2(1-t)} \right\|^{1/2} \quad \text{if } i< j 0 \quad \text{if } i> j. \end{cases} \end{eqnarray*} This bound refines the well known bound $w(A) \leq w(\hat{A}),$ where $\hat{A}=[\hat{a}_{ij}]$ is an $n\times n$ matrix with $\hat{a}_{ij}= w(A_{ii}) $ \text{if } $i=j$ and $\hat{a}_{ij}= \|A_{ij}\| $ \text{if } $i\neq j$ [Linear Algebra Appl. 468 (2015), 18--26]. We deduce that if $A$, $B$ are bounded linear operators on $\mathcal{H},$ then \begin{eqnarray*} w\left(\begin{bmatrix} 0&A\\ B&0 \end{bmatrix}\right) \leq \frac12 \left\| |A|^{2t} + |B^*|^{2t} \right\|^{1/2} \left\| |A^*|^{2(1-t)}+ |B|^{2(1-t)} \right\|^{1/2} \quad \text{for all } t\in [0,1]. \end{eqnarray*} Further by applying the numerical radius bounds of operator matrices, we deduce some numerical radius bounds for a single operator, the product of two operators, the commutator of operators. We show that if $A$ is a bounded linear operator on $\mathcal{H},$ then $w(A) \leq \frac12 \|A\|^t \left\| |A|^{1-t}+|A^*|^{1-t} \right\| \quad \text{for all } t\in [0,1],$ which refines as well as generalizes the existing ones.

Abstract:This article introduces several new upper bounds for the $q$-numerical radius of bounded linear operators on complex Hilbert spaces. Our results refine some of the existing upper bounds in this field. The $q$-numerical radius inequalities of products and commutators of operators follow as special cases. Finally, some new inequalities for the $q$-numerical radius of $2 \times 2$ operator matrices are established.

Abstract:In this paper, we employ a generalization of the Boas–Bellman inequality for inner products, as developed by Mitrinović–Pečarić–Fink, to derive several upper bounds for the 2p-th power with p≥1 of the numerical radius of the off-diagonal operator matrix 0AB*0 for any bounded linear operators A and B on a complex Hilbert space H. While the general matrix is not symmetric, a special case arises when B=A*, where the matrix becomes symmetric. This symmetry plays a crucial role in the derivation of our bounds, illustrating the importance of symmetric structures in operator theory.

Abstract:In this paper, we achieve new and improved numerical radius inequalities of operators defined on a Hilbert space by using Orlicz function and Hermite-Hadamard inequality. The upper bounds of various inequalities involving numerical radii have been obtained. Abstract:Let 0 < ρ ≤ 2 and w ρ ( X ) be the operator radius of a bounded linear Hilbert space operator X. In this paper we present characterizations of operators satisfying w ρ ( X ) ≤ 1 . We also give an expression for the ρ-radii based on the numerical radius of a certain 2 × 2 block matrix. This enables us to investigate the properties of the operator radii w ρ ( ⋅ ) . In particular, we obtain lower and upper bounds for the operator radii. In addition, we define a norm on Hilbert space operators, which generalizes the operator radii and prove some basic properties of this norm. Our results extend or improve some theorems due to Ando [4], Bhatia–Jain [9] and Kittaneh [19].

We define a norm $w_{(N,e)} (. , . )$ on $ \mathbb{B}^2(\mathscr{H})$ by $$ w_{(N,e)}(B,C)=\underset{|\lambda_1|^2+\lambda_2|^2\leq1}\sup \underset{\theta\in\mathbb{R}}\sup N\left(\Re \left(e^{i\theta}(\lambda_1B+\lambda_2C)\right)\right),$$ for every $B,C\in\mathbb{B}(\mathscr{H})$ and $\lambda_1,\lambda_2\in\mathbb{C}.$ We investigate basic properties of this norm and prove some bounds involving it. In particular, when $N( .)$ is the Hilbert-Schmidt norm, we prove some Hilbert-Schmidt Euclidean operator radius inequalities for a pair of bounded linear operators.

Abstract:In this paper, we aim to establish a range of numerical radius inequalities. These discoveries will bring us to a recently validated numerical radius inequality and will present numerical radius inequalities that exhibit enhanced precision when compared to those recently established for particular cases. Additionally, we employ the generalized Aluthge transform for operators to deduce a set of inequalities pertaining to the numerical radius. Moreover, we set forth various upper and lower bounds for the numerical radius of $2\times 2$ operator matrices, refining and expanding upon the bounds determined previously.
