Abstract:In this paper we construct primitive idempotents of the hyperalgebra for the $r$-th Frobenius kernel of the algebraic group ${\rm SL}(2,k)$.
What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is to construct primitive idempotents in a specific algebraic structure. Specifically, it is to construct primitive idempotents in the superalgebra of the $r$-th Frobenius kernel of $SL(2, k)$. Here, $k$ is an algebraically closed field with characteristic $p>0$.
### Background and Problem Description
In mathematics, especially in representation theory, constructing primitive idempotents is crucial for understanding the structure of certain important modules (such as projective indecomposable modules). For the $r$-th Frobenius kernel $G_r$ of $SL(2, k)$, its representation theory is closely related to the representation theory of the whole group $G$. For example, all simple modules of $G_r$ can be lifted to some simple modules of $G$, and when $p$ is not too small, the projective indecomposable modules (PIMs) of $G_r$ can also be lifted to some modules of $G$.
Furthermore, the representation theory of $G$ can be identified as the locally finite representation theory of the corresponding infinite - dimensional $k$-algebra $U$, where $U$ is called the superalgebra of $G$. Similarly, the representation theory of $G_r$ can be identified as the representation theory of the corresponding finite - dimensional superalgebra $U_r$. If we can decompose the unit element $1\in U_r$ into a sum of pairwise orthogonal primitive idempotents, then we can construct the PIMs of $U_r$.
However, except for the case when $G$ is of type $A_1$ (i.e., $G = SL(2, k)$) and $r = 1$, such a decomposition that explicitly describes each primitive idempotent is still unknown. In this case, Seligma's paper [11] gives the decomposition method.
### Main Contributions of the Paper
In this paper, the author generalizes Seligma's results. Specifically, when $G = SL(2, k)$, the author explicitly constructs pairwise orthogonal primitive idempotents in $U_r$, and the sum of these idempotents is the unit element $1$, where $r$ is an arbitrary positive integer. This construction not only solves the above - mentioned problem but also further determines the PIMs of $U_r$ generated by these idempotents.
### Markdown Representation of Formulas
To ensure the correctness and readability of formulas, the following are some key formulas represented in Markdown format:
1. **Definition of Idempotent**:
\[
\mu_a=\left(H - a - 1\atop p - 1\right)=\sum_{i = 0}^{p - 1}\frac{(-a - 1)}{(p - 1 - i)!}\left(H\atop i\right)
\]
2. **Multiplication Relation of Idempotents**:
\[
\mu_aY^mX^m=\prod_{i = 0}^{m - 1}\left(\mu_aYX - i(i + a + 1)\right)
\]
3. **Linear Map $F_r'$**:
\[
F_r':Y(m)\left(H\atop n\right)X(m')\mapsto Y(mp)\left(H\atop np\right)X(m'p)
\]
Through these constructions, the author successfully solves the problem of how to construct primitive idempotents in a broader range of $r$ cases and provides an important tool for further research.
