Abstract:Collective versions of order convergences and corresponding types of collectively qualified sets of operators in vector lattices are investigated. It is proved that collectively order to norm bounded sets are bounded in the operator norm and collectively order continuous sets are collectively order bounded.

Abstract:It is proved that: each collectively order continuous set of operators from an Archimedean ordered vector space to an ordered vector space is collectively order bounded; each collectively order to norm bounded set of operators from an ordered Banach space with a closed generating cone to a normed space is norm bounded; collectively r-continuous sets agree with collectively order bounded ones when the space in the range has a generating cone. Several applications to operator semigroups are given.

Abstract:A set of bounded linear operators from a Banach space to a Banach lattice is collectively L-weakly compact whenever union of images of the unit ball is L-weakly compact. We extend the Meyer-Nieberg duality theorem to collectively L-weakly compact sets of operators, study relations between these sets and collectively almost limited sets, and discuss the domination problem for collectively compact sets and collectively L-weakly compact sets.

Abstract:We consider vector lattices endowed with locally solid convergence structures, which are not necessarily topological. We show that such a convergence is defined by the convergence to $0$ on the positive cone. Some results on unbounded modification which were only available in partial cases are generalized. Order convergence is characterized as the strongest locally solid convergence in which monotone nets converge to their extremums (if they exist). We partially characterize sublattices on which the order convergence is the restriction of the order convergence of the ambient lattice. We show that homomorphism is order continuous iff it is uo-continuous. Uo convergence is characterized independently of order convergence. We show that on the space of continuous function uo convergence is weaker than the compact open convergence iff the underlying topological space contains a dense locally compact subspace. For a large class of convergences we prove that a positive operator is order continuous if and only if its restriction to a dense regular sublattice is order continuous, and that the closure of a regular sublattice is regular with the original sublattice being order dense in the closure. We also present an example of a regular sublattice of a locally solid topological vector lattice whose closure is not regular.

Abstract:In this paper, we continue investigation of the lateral order on vector lattices started in [25]. We consider the complexification EC$E_{\mathbb {C}}$ of a real vector lattice E and introduce the lateral order on EC$E_{\mathbb {C}}$. Our first main result asserts that the set of all fragments Fv$\mathfrak {F}_v$ of an element v & ISIN;EC$v\in E_{\mathbb {C}}$ of the complexification of an uniformly complete vector lattice E is a Boolean algebra. Then, we study narrow operators defined on the complexification EC$E_{\mathbb {C}}$ of a vector lattice E, extending the results of articles [22, 27, 28] to the setting of operators defined on complex vector lattices. We prove that every order-to-norm continuous linear operator T:EC & RARR;X$\mathcal {T}: E_{\mathbb {C}} \rightarrow X$ from the complexification EC$E_{\mathbb {C}}$ of an atomless Dedekind complete vector lattice E to a finite-dimensional Banach space X is strictly narrow. Then, we prove that every C-compact order-to-norm continuous linear operator T$\mathcal {T}$ from EC$E_{\mathbb {C}}$ to a Banach space X is narrow. We also show that every regular order-no-norm continuous linear operator from EC$E_{\mathbb {C}}$ to a complex Banach lattice (lp(D)C$(\ell _p(\mathcal {D})_{\mathbb {C}}$ is narrow. Finally, in the last part of the paper we investigate narrow operators taking values in symmetric ideals of compact operators.

Abstract:We consider an ordered vector space X . We define the net xα⊆X to be unbounded order convergent to x (denoted as xα⟶uox ). This means that for every 0≤y∈X , there exists a net yβ (potentially over a different index set) such that yβ↓0 , and for every β , there exists α0 such that ±xα−xu,yl⊆yβl whenever α≥α0 . The emergence of a broader convergence, stemming from the recognition of more ordered vector spaces compared to lattice vector spaces, has prompted an expansion and broadening of discussions surrounding lattices to encompass additional spaces. We delve into studying the properties of this convergence and explore its relationships with other established order convergence. In every ordered vector space, we demonstrate that under certain conditions, every uo -convergent net implies uo -Cauchy, and vice versa. Let X be an order dense subspace of the directed ordered vector space Y . If J⊆Y is a uo -band in Y , then we establish that J∩X is a uo -band in X .

Order boundedness and order continuity properties of positive operator semigroups

Abstract:Relatively uniformly continuous (ruc) semigroups were recently introduced and studied by Kandić, Kramar-Fijavž, and the second-named author, in order to make the theory of one-parameter operator semigroups available in the setting of vector lattices, where no norm is present in general. In this article, we return to the more standard Banach lattice setting - where both ruc semigroups and $C_0$-semigroups are well-defined concepts - and compare both notions. We show that the ruc semigroups are precisely those positive $C_0$-semigroups whose orbits are order bounded for small times. We then relate this result to three different topics: (i) equality of the spectral and the growth bound for positive $C_0$-semigroups; (ii) a uniform order boundedness principle which holds for all operator families between Banach lattices; and (iii) a description of unbounded order convergence in terms of almost everywhere convergence for nets which have an uncountable index set containing a co-final sequence.

For a sublattice Y of an infinitely distributive lattice L, we show that the order closure and unbounded order closure is also a sublattices. Abstract:Complementable operators extend classical matrix decompositions, such as the Schur complement, to the setting of infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces, thereby broadening their applicability in various mathematical and physical contexts. This paper focuses on the convergence properties of complementable operators, investigating when the limit of sequence of complementable operators remains complementable. We also explore the convergence of sequences and series of powers of complementable operators, providing new insights into their convergence behavior. Additionally, we examine the conditions under which the set of complementable operators is the subset of set of boundary points of the set of non-complementable operators with respect to the strong operator topology. The paper further explores the topological structure of the subset of complementable operators, offering a characterization of its closed subsets.

Abstract:We give several characterizations of order continuous vector lattice homomorphisms between Archimedean vector lattices. We reduce the proofs of some of the equivalences to the case of composition operators between vector lattices of continuous functions, and so we obtain a characterization of order continuity of such operators. Motivated by this, we investigate various properties of the sublattices of the space $C\left(X\right)$, where $X$ is a Tychonoff topological space. We also obtain several characterizations of a regular sublattice of a vector lattice, and show that the closure of a regular sublattice of a Banach lattice is also regular.

Abstract:We prove that order convergence on a Boolean algebra turns it into a compact convergence space if and only if this Boolean algebra is complete and atomic. We also show that on an Archimedean vector lattice, order intervals are compact with respect to order convergence if and only the vector lattice is complete and atomic. Additionally we provide a direct proof of the fact that uo convergence on an Archimedean vector lattice is induced by a topology if and only if the vector lattice is atomic.

Abstract:Let $X,\,Y$ be Banach spaces and fix a linear operator $T \in \mathcal {L}(X,\,Y)$ and ideals $\mathcal {I},\, \mathcal {J}$ on the nonnegative integers. We obtain Silverman–Toeplitz type theorems on matrices $A=(A_{n,k}: n,\,k \in \omega )$ of linear operators in $\mathcal {L}(X,\,Y)$ , so that \[ \mathcal{J}\text{-}\lim A\boldsymbol{x}=T(\mathcal{I}\text{-}\lim \boldsymbol{x}) \] for every $X$ -valued sequence $\boldsymbol {x}=(x_0,\,x_1,\,\ldots )$ which is $\mathcal {I}$ -convergent (and bounded). This allows us to establish the relationship between the classical Silverman–Toeplitz characterization of regular matrices and its multidimensional analogue for double sequences, its variant for matrices of linear operators, and the recent version (for the scalar case) in the context of ideal convergence. As byproducts, we obtain characterizations of several matrix classes and a generalization of the classical Hahn–Schur theorem. In the proofs we use an ideal version of the Banach–Steinhaus theorem which has been recently obtained by De Bondt and Vernaeve [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 495 (2021)].

Abstract:We investigate the $o\tau$-continuous/bounded/compact and Lebesgue operators from vector lattices to topological vector spaces; the KB operators between locally solid lattices and topological vector spaces; and the Levi operators from locally solid lattices to vector lattices. The main idea of operator versions of notions related to vector lattices lies in redistributing topological and order properties of a topological vector lattice between the domain and range of an operator under investigation. Domination properties for these classes of operators are studied.
