Abstract:Let $L$ be an algebra over a field $F$ with the binary operations $+$ and $[,]$. Then $L$ is called a left Leibniz algebra if it satisfies the left Leibniz identity: $[[a,b],c]=[a,[b,c]]-[b,[a,c]]$ for all elements $a,b,c\in L$. A linear transformation $f$ of $L$ is called an endomorphism of $L$, if $f([a,b])=[f(a),f(b)]$ for all elements $a,b\in L$. A bijective endomorphism of $L$ is called an automorphism of $L$. It is easy to show that the set of all automorphisms of the Leibniz algebra is a group with respect to the operation of multiplication of automorphisms. The description of the structure of the automorphism groups of Leibniz algebras is one of the natural and important problems of the general Leibniz algebra theory. The main goal of this article is to describe the structure of the automorphism group of a certain type of nilpotent three-dimensional Leibniz algebras.

Abstract:One of the classic results of group theory is the so-called Schur theorem. It states that if the central factor-group $G/\zeta(G)$ of a group $G$ is finite, then its derived subgroup $[G,G]$ is also finite. This result has numerous generalizations and modifications in group theory. At the same time, similar investigations were conducted in other algebraic structures. In 2016, L.A. Kurdachenko, J. Otal and O.O. Pypka proved an analogue of Schur theorem for Leibniz algebras: if central factor-algebra $L/\zeta(L)$ of Leibniz algebra $L$ has finite dimension, then its derived ideal $[L,L]$ is also finite-dimensional. Moreover, they also proved a slightly modified analogue of Schur theorem: if the codimensions of the left $\zeta^{l}(L)$ and right $\zeta^{r}(L)$ centers of Leibniz algebra $L$ are finite, then its derived ideal $[L,L]$ is also finite-dimensional. One of the generalizations of Leibniz algebras is the so-called Leibniz $n$-algebras. Therefore, the question of proving analogs of the above results for this type of algebras naturally arises. In this article, we prove the analogues of the two mentioned theorems for Leibniz 3-algebras.

Abstract:In this paper we study non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz $\mathbb{F}$-algebras with one-dimensional derived subalgebra, where $\mathbb{F}$ is a field with $\operatorname{char}(\mathbb{F}) \neq 2$. We prove that such an algebra is isomorphic to the direct sum of the two-dimensional non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz algebra and an abelian algebra. We denote it by $L_n$, where $n=\dim_{\mathbb{F}} L_n$. This generalizes the result found in [11], which is only valid when $\mathbb{F}=\mathbb{C}$. Moreover, we find the Lie algebra of derivations, its Lie group of automorphisms and the Leibniz algebra of biderivations of $L_n$. Eventually, we solve the coquecigrue problem for $L_n$ by integrating it into a Lie rack.

Abstract:Abstract The automorphism group of an affine variety is an ind‐group. Its Lie algebra is canonically embedded into the Lie algebra of vector fields on . We study the relations between subgroups of and Lie subalgebras of . We show that a subgroup generated by a family of connected algebraic subgroups of is algebraic if and only if the Lie algebras generate a finite‐dimensional Lie subalgebra of . Extending a result by Cohen–Draisma (Transform. Groups 8 (2003), no. 1, 51–68), we prove that a locally finite Lie algebra generated by locally nilpotent vector fields is algebraic, that is, for an algebraic subgroup . Along the same lines, we prove that if a subgroup generated by finitely many connected algebraic groups is solvable, then it is an algebraic group. We also show that a unipotent algebraic subgroup has derived length . This result is based on the following triangulation theorem: Every unipotent algebraic subgroup of with a dense orbit in is conjugate to a subgroup of the de Jonquières subgroup . Furthermore, we give an example of a free subgroup generated by two algebraic elements such that the Zariski closure is a free product of two nested commutative closed unipotent ind‐subgroups. To any affine ind‐group , one can associate a canonical ideal . It is linearly generated by the tangent spaces for all algebraic subsets that are smooth in . It has the important property that for a surjective homomorphism , the induced homomorphism is surjective as well. Moreover, if is a subnormal closed ind‐subgroup of finite codimension, then has finite codimension in .

Abstract:A monomial algebra is the quotient of a polynomial algebra by an ideal generated by monomials. We prove that finite monomial algebras are characterized by their automorphism group among finite, local algebras with cotangent space of fixed dimension. In particular, we show how to recover a monomial ideal given the automorphism group of the corresponding monomial algebra.

Abstract:A characterization of the finite-dimensional Leibniz algebras with an abelian subalgebra of codimension two over a field $\mathbb{F}$ of characteristic $p\neq2$ is given. In short, a finite-dimensional Leibniz algebra of dimension $n$ with an abelian subalgebra of codimension two is solvable and contains an abelian ideal of codimension at most two or it is a direct sum of a Lie one-dimensional solvable extension of the Heisenberg algebra $\mathfrak{h}(\mathbb{F})$ and $\mathbb{F}^{n-4}$ or a direct sum of a $3$-dimensional simple Lie algebra and $\mathbb{F}^{n-3}$ or a Leibniz one-dimensional solvable extension of the algebra $\mathfrak{h}(\mathbb{F}) \oplus \mathbb{F}^{n-4}$.

Abstract:We determine the complete degeneration picture inside the variety of nilpotent associative algebras of dimension 3 over an algebraically closed field of characteristic not equal to 2. Comparing with the discussion in [Ivanova N.M. and Pallikaros C.A., Degenerations of complex associative algebras of dimension three via Lie and Jordan algebras, {\it Advances in Group Theory and Applications}, 18 (2024), 41-79], for some of the arguments in the present article we needed to develop alternative techniques which are now valid over an arbitrary algebraically closed field. There is a dichotomy of cases concerning the results obtained, corresponding to whether the characteristic of the field is 2 or not.

Abstract:In this paper, first we introduce the notions of 3-pre-Leibniz algebras and relative Rota-Baxter operators on 3-Leibniz algebras. We show that a 3-pre-Leibniz algebra gives rise to a 3-Leibniz algebra and a representation such that the identity map is a relative Rota-Baxter operator. Conversely, a relative Rota-Baxter operator naturally induces a 3-pre-Leibniz algebra. Then we construct a Lie 3-algebra, and characterize relative Rota-Baxter operators as its Maurer-Cartan elements. Consequently, we obtain the -algebra that controls deformations of relative Rota-Baxter operators on 3-Leibniz algebras. Next we define the cohomology of relative Rota-Baxter operators on 3-Leibniz algebras and show that infinitesimal deformations of a relative Rota-Baxter operator are classified by the second cohomology group. Finally, we construct an -algebra whose Maurer-Cartan elements are relative Rota-Baxter 3-Leibniz algebra structures, and define the cohomology of relative Rota-Baxter 3-Leibniz algebras.

Abstract:We classify nilpotent Lie algebras with complex structures of weakly non-nilpotent type in real dimension eight, which is the lowest dimension where they arise. Our study, together with previous results on strongly non-nilpotent structures, completes the classification of 8-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras admitting complex structures of non-nilpotent type. As an application, we identify those that support a pseudo-Kähler metric, thus providing new counterexamples to a previous conjecture and an infinite family of (Ricci-flat) non-flat neutral Calabi-Yau structures. Moreover, we arrive at the topological restriction $b_1(X)\geq 3$ for every pseudo-Kähler nilmanifold $X$ with invariant complex structure, up to complex dimension four.

At the same time, similar investigations were conducted in other algebraic structures, namely in modules, linear groups, topological groups, $n$-groups, associative algebras, Lie algebras, Lie $n$-algebras, Lie rings, Leibniz algebras. In 2021, L.A. Kurdachenko, O.O. Pypka and I.Ya. Subbotin proved an analogue of Schur theorem for Poisson algebras: if the center of the Poisson algebra $P$ has finite codimension, then $P$ includes an ideal $K$ of finite dimension such that $P/K$ is abelian. In this paper, we continue similar studies for another algebraic structure. An analogue of Schur theorem for Poisson (2-3)-algebras is proved.

Abstract:A monomial algebra B is defined as a quotient of a polynomial ring by a monomial ideal, which is an ideal generated by a finite set of monomials. In this paper, we determine the automorphism group of a monomial algebra B, under the assumption that B is a finite-dimensional vector space over a field of characteristic zero. We achieve this by providing an explicit classification of the homogeneous locally nilpotent derivations of B. The main body of the paper addresses the more general case of semigroup algebras, with the polynomial ring being a particular case.
