Abstract:We prove three results on the existence and structure of Nash equilibria for quasisupermodular games. A theorem is purely order-theoretic, and the other two involve topological hypotheses. Our topological results genralize Zhou's theorem (for supermodular games) and Calciano's theorem.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The paper mainly addresses the following issues: 1. **Existence and Structure of Pure Nash Equilibria**: - For quasisupermodular games, the paper provides pure order-theoretic results (Theorem 6.8) regarding the existence and structure of the Nash equilibrium set. Unlike Nash's theorem, this result does not require any topological assumptions. 2. **Relaxation of Traditional Topological Conditions**: - In a similar spirit, the paper relaxes the traditional topological conditions (upper semicontinuity) on the payoff functions, instead adopting transfer upper continuity (Theorems 6.11 and 6.13). Specifically, the paper proves three results concerning the existence and structure of Nash equilibria in quasisupermodular games: - A pure order-theoretic result (Theorem 6.8); - Two additional results involving topological assumptions (Theorems 6.11 and 6.13). These results extend Zhou's theorem (for supermodular games) and Calciano's theorem, and prove that the Nash equilibrium set is a non-empty complete lattice without relying on any topological assumptions. Additionally, the paper considers the issue of the existence of the maximum value of the payoff function under certain conditions.
